I see a lot of you, mostly the watchmen, all have nicknames. That's one thing that I just never came around to. I want to know the stories behind your nicknames. I know that a lot of them are pretty explanatory (Freak, Freakshow, Juggernaut) But how did you get them, and who gave them to ya?

I've thought of this too, however my real name is too crazy to have a nickname on top of it. I mean RANSOM- kidnap for money, what can top that?
G Diesel
01-11-07, 10:19 pm
When I first got into training, "diesel" was a regular word in my crew's vernacular. Not only did it mean jacked, muscular and powerful, it started to simply be a positive adjective for anything good and impressive. As I started to get bigger and stronger, my boy Frankie started calling me "Diesel" as a nickname and people always called me "G" or "G Man" or "G Money" growing up because of my first initial. Eventually the two nicknames collided, became my email address and the rest is history. Then in 2003 I became affiliated with Animalpak.com and it went public if you will and that was all she wrote. Peace, G
Freakshow
01-11-07, 10:20 pm
Freakshow...the one word sums up my lifting, eating, and living habits. I have to get my 8 hours every night, which is hard to do in college with a roomate. I train 5 days a week, cardio 2 hours a day when I am cutting. I eat more chicken, steak, eggs, tuna and rice than anybody I know, and when I get a paycheck its spent on food, supps, gas, and the rest goes to the bank. I know nobody else personally that does the things I do, the title FreakShow came naturally.

Mike "the Big Bad" Wolfe
I started lifting out of Highschool cause I got sick of being a punk ass that always got his ass beat. So one time about 5 yrs into my training I ran into a few guys who use to mess with me in school. And the one guy goes "Damn you are all Big and Bad now" Well with the last name Wolfe it just kind of stuck. I got it inked in on my left Delt and now that is what I roll with on the forms, emails, and stuff. But my daily nickname is just Wolfy!!!!

The name — unobtainium — combines unobtainable with the -ium suffix. It refers to exotic material that suffers from the serious disadvantage that it either doesn’t (yet) exist, or that it does exist but is so rare that even folding money can’t get you any.
I do some work for just about all foreign motorcycle companies and alot of goodies on their "special" bikes you can't get. Most guys who know what I do and who I work for often ask.."can you ge me (........) for my bike like on the bike in (...........) magazine." Nope is always the answer and I always get.."well, why not?"...and for years that reply has been..."because it's made of --unobtainium--". A lot of my nascar buds also have parts and pieces made of unobtainium. My given name was dropped from our pack of friends while "Unobtainium" has stuck thru the years.

interestingly enough, when i was a competitive athlete (rugby and ultimate frisbee) in high school, i was known for intensity and being willing to sacrifice body for success of the team, and so the guys on my UF team called me "animal" - they were referencing the slightly unhinged muppets character, though.

RedIron 392
01-12-07, 9:23 am
I got the name Red Iron when I was an apprentice Iron Worker in 1969. Apprentices were called Punks and I was punkin' bolts on a powerhouse, which means I ran buckets of bolts to the Journeymen that were bolting up.
Being called Punkin was a way of keeping you in your place by letting you know you didn't know shit and you weren't worthy. I started wearing my tool belt while punkin' bolts and when I got caught up I would stick bolts. Red Iron is what we call structural steel and it didn't matter if it was primed red or gray, it was red iron. Merle Harjo was a big indian from Oklahoma and he started calling me Red Iron out of respect for the way I worked. Then everyone else started it and it stuck. 392 is the the Iron Workers local union number I belong to.
Dunno... Someone a while back called me a Freak. Not like it's a unique name or anything. Just stuck.
Mine is simple my dad always would use the name Maharg on games or whatever we would do. Well out of respect i would always put my name as Mahargson, hit 13 changed it to Mahargm , finally graduated to Maharg. Maharg is Graham my last name backwards. In case you havent noticed i have a huge amount of respect for my dad.

First time posting but I wantd to say someting about my nickname (mightyheine) I was about a buck-30 (i am 6'1 which made me a bean pole) out of high school about 10 yrs back. I started lifting (mostly powerlifting) about 3 years later I weighed 185 respectable but I had chicken legs. Well, to remedy this, I started squatting, and within a year I got good (with help of Porter Cottrell) That was a few years ago and I now I weigh 230 and have a pr of 525, and have repped 405 10x. From all these squats my ass got huge!! So my wife calls me "mightyheine"
This site is fucking phenominal Bro's keep posting!

ironWarrior417
01-12-07, 4:18 pm
ironWarrior, that was just a perfect way to put how I feel about lifting. But my real nickname? Spartan.
I just started working at a Power Plant while I'm home from school on a break, and all the guys there see how steadfast I am, work-wise and diet-wise. I got this thing about working all the hours I'm getting paid to work, so I ain't gonna bullshit around, something I learned from my old man that lifting really drilled into my skull. The guys called the name "Spartan" on the radio one day and nobody answered. They did it for a while, and it turns out they were talking to me.
Shit, I'm honored as hell to be associated with the Spartans.
Karma. In popular usage in the west thought simply as the good or bad thinks that can happen to a person, like good or bad luck. But to Buddhist believers like me, Karma is more than simply that, karma is the mechanism that moves people around from one realm of rebirth to another.
Personally I see this sport like something that redefine me, something that rebirth my soul every single day, something that keep me focus into my purposes . So the name Karma.
TheNaturalG
01-12-07, 7:08 pm
Mine is TheNaturalG because I wanna be lifetime natural. My last name starts with a G so I get called G sometimes or G Money even like G dielsel said and some other ones I am not gonna say. 'The' Comes in because my brother is mostly like gonna take super supps in the future so I figured The G that is natural or TheNaturalG.

my nickname BBB I got while in Iraq in 03, one of the squad leaders in my platoon was a big WWE fan, his favorite wrestler is called Triple H, my name in the real world is Bobby, so he started calling me Bad Boy Bobby, or Triple B.
We proudly served as members of A co 1-8 INF under CPT Matthew Cunningham and LTC Nate Sassaman.
I don't really have a nickname at all, I just go by NickW on all the forums because my name is Nick and W is the first letter of my last name.

Self-reminder that dreams alone don't get you nowhere. Stop dreaming, start moving forward.
i got the name rampage for my style of the way I lift, I throw my headphones on blast the tunes and I rampage threw the weights man, No talking to anybody nothin, just go threw the weights till the job is done man.
I got my nickname from my freshman year in college. My roommate was sitting in a room with a bunch of guys and I called him a name that a bunch of his friends called him in high school. The guys he was with at the time thought it was the funniest/most ignorant thing they've ever heard so they cut it in half and started calling me Tron.
Freakshow...the one word sums up my lifting, eating, and living habits. I have to get my 8 hours every night, which is hard to do in college with a roomate. I train 5 days a week, cardio 2 hours a day when I am cutting. Just out of curiousity FreakShow, how old are you? Right now I'm in college and I understand the whole hard to find sleep and eating right thing.

It's respectable to have such admiration for your father. Mine worked his ass off to give me the opportunites that I have, and I'm very thankful for that.
Tha Crazy Irishman
01-16-07, 1:50 pm
I have two myself, though they both reference the same topic.
"Trunks" and "Legs"
both of them because by the time I was 18 I had 32" quads, and was squatting 650.
Well, Bruiser has just always stuck with me since I was a kid. I was always the first kid to try something that no one else would (usualy didn't turn out well either), and never worried about it. I was always getting into scrapes of some sort. Plus I had one hell of a mean streak (still do).
Only problem now is that my son is starting to take after his old man!!!
dirtydean12
01-16-07, 3:44 pm
Ok here's where Dirty Dean comes from.
My frosh year of water polo, one of the seniors didn't know my name when they asked for it for the programs. He knew it started with D so he said Dean.
Then one day we were towel changing by the pool when I dropped my drawers. Only thing is I forgot that I wore old dirty stained tightie whities. Hence Dirty.
Put the two together and you've got dirty dean. Had that name all through high school and still get called by it 4 years later.
rev8ball
01-16-07, 3:55 pm
The eightball part started when I was back in high school. (By the way - it has NOTHING to do with cocaine!) For those who play billiards, you know that the ball that literally controls the game is the 8 ball. Starting with sports in high school and moving into my personal life, my friends always said "You are dangerously unpredictable - you're the 8 ball in the equation!"
The rev part comes from several years ago from one night when I was visiting my friend's restaurant. We were all enjoying ourselves when a female friend that I had not spoken with in quite some time saw me and started talking to me. Well, for the next half hour, she proceeded to tell me her life story for the last several years. When she left, my friends were laughing, saying all that they noticed was her mouth going and me just shaking my head in some sort of agreement. Then one said "It looked like you were her priest, and she was telling you her confession!" Then he started calling me the "right-reverend," which then the rest of my friends merged into the Reverend 8 Ball, and the rest, well, you know...
Liftbig21
01-16-07, 4:35 pm
my nickname is Gene The Machine from 5 years ago from people watching me work/train...everything i do people notice my intensity and effort so the name stuck ever since
Hercules
01-16-07, 4:46 pm
When I was a freshman in college, I hated my roommate with a passion. I spent a ton of time in the gym and some of the gym regulars started calling me Hercules.
10+ years later, ironically, there are a few teachers at my school that started calling me Hercules. Guess the name just stuck this time.
Pretty plain and simple... The name is Gregory Jester.. but everyone would call me Gregory and that would just straight piss me off but who could blame them, I went to a private school. Then this past year I got so fed up that I started training and eating like my life depended on it and so people started having more and more respect for me calling me Jester. A lot of times they call me JU or JJ.. for Jacked Up or Jesters Jacked... but when I walk into a gym where some of the normal guys know me they will be like Jesters in the house.. but respect is everything in this sport and although I only have a year under my belt.. I stand here showing respect to you intermediates and veterans cuz you all are like my ICONS... that I wish to be just as good as when I get bigger... but only time will tell.. but I stand along all of you.. brothers..
Bulldozin727
01-16-07, 5:16 pm
Bulldozin is how I train. I plow through with no regard for the pain. The 727 represents how big I plan to be some day. My boys from college have always called me Big Poppa after the song by Notorious B.I.G.
Millhouse
01-16-07, 5:18 pm
My last name is Millar (Scottish) so I had "Millar Time" in high school, but didn't really like it too much cause I didn't party. My Jr. year I hit the weights hard and my dad started callin my Da House ...eventually my buds started calling me Mill Da House and then short and simple... Millhouse my favorite and it's stuck ever since.
Easy E
From the late rapper and a combination of my first name...Eric. Also was given to me my junior year of college when I was ummm.........easy with the ladies you could say. haha.
I used to be called 'Butthead' because when I was younger I used to hit full contact in football,. durring light practices (no pads)... They thought I was a butthead for doing this...
Hollywood
01-17-07, 2:23 pm
a couple years back in high school i got the stupid idea to grow out my hair... my crazy lifting coach loved to make fun of me, so he called me Hollywood cause he thought i looked like tom cruise, but the name stuck ever since
peterpyper
01-17-07, 2:59 pm
i have alot of nick names but my name is peter, and there was a rhyme with my name so i thought it be cool for a name like that haha, but ppl usually call me
p rockor petey rock,i can go on forever but u guys get the point
Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers;
A peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked.
If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers,
Where's the peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked
Obviously, shrugs is one of my favorite exercises.
Ever since I was a skinny kid, I've always wanted huge traps. Other kids wanted huge pecs or arms, I wanted a thick back with gonzo traps.
It's also one of my best body parts. The slightest bit of training makes it grow like a weed. A hard, thick, block of weed. =)
Clydesdale
01-17-07, 8:59 pm
Well, I got a pal who is like 6'2" (i'm only 5'9") and he's like 230lb (i am 175), and when he lifts he makes everything I do look like cake. So I alwas tell he is a beast, monster, large breed of some sort of animal. One day he was like, "your a frikin Clydesdale". Well now wouldn't you know but it stuck. I later found out that Clydesdales are large but not the biggest horses. But they are very powerful. It perfectly describes me in one word, a workhorse. It seems that for pound for pound not even he can keep up with me, and he says I look like I am built like ahorse, stream lined with buldging muscles, and work like a horse - horses will run themselves to death, I lift my self to death.
Note to self: do not piss off rcrott1
More like note to EVERYONE
You are all really funny and very creative..I love all of your nicknames. Mine is just Toni..that's short for Antoinette..boring, I know. I did add 69 to it.....typical, I know...just bypass my post here. Thanks! LOL
all your nicknames are pretty good and the stories behind them are even better...I don't have a nickname but I think I need one cus my real name is Angel!
I got mine when I was in the Marines. I was seeing this girl, and at the time the word "Horn-Dog" was being thrown around a lot. Well, since my first name is Larry, she made a comment about me being a "Lar-Dog". Some of my bros were around, and that's pretty much all it took.
I've been Lar-Dog ever since.
the_menace
02-02-07, 2:04 pm
"The Menace" is a nickname a lot of my old classmates back in the days would tease me about. As time went by, the name itself is perfect and I didn't find anything wrong with it. It originated since my mom used to watch the cartoon Dennis the Menace, hence it was cool. When I started training, it became my alter ego since I'm normally a quiet, down to earth person, but when it comes to pursuing things, I don't let anything get in my way. I'm a pure caring person at heart but I have the burning desire of a Menace.
My real name is Ang, i know its kinda hard to pronounce, but i don't really give a fuck. Just like I know give a fuck about what "normal" people think of me. I thought about changing my name but my girl really likes it 'cause it reflects my personality.
brandona
02-02-07, 3:17 pm
I have a some nicknames...in high school they called me ogre....when i bounced most called me fucking asshole.....here at work some call me big-b (6'-1" 300 lbs)..but when it came to my user name here, i did not want to act like a poser (not saying any one here is) so i just kept it simple and used my 1st name and 1st letter of my last name....
Brandon Azevedo
gnoll - my kid a few years ago found a picture on the internet of a 'gnoll'; a hairy, large foul tempered beast. the pronunciation is the same as my first name, thus it stuck, as he thought it was pretty funny. i started using it as he would set up my email accounts and stuff before i knew anything about computers as gnoll@...

BamBam92
07-18-07, 12:36 pm
God...I have so many nicknames but here r the ones I love and cherish for their reasons.
BamBam(92 added due to my football number)- My mother called me BamBam due ot my chubby physique and bleach blonde hair as a baby. Now, it just kinda fits with the weight I throw up and being as strong as I am for a young buck like me. I love it
Fatzilla- My best friend that passed away (Stephen T. Crisp) gave me this one when I was around 300 lbs. We were in Anatomy and each muscle has a "fascicle" around it...and he says.."WHAT?! A Fatzilla? Hey Josh...thats what you are..hahaha...!" Always trying to get my goat and make me better, that one kinda lingered for a long time and now it is a good reminder of hw solid our relationship was.
The Tiger- My trainer always called me "grasshopper" because I was young and nieve. He was the "Dragon" due to his massive stature and maturity in the sport. A while back I saw him when I came back home for summer and he couldnt believe how much I had grown. He told me.."You might be big, but I am still the Dragon...maybe one day soon I will step down and you will be the Dragon. For now, I grant you the title...The Tiger." So it meant a lot to me that he saw my gains and I looked up to him so I am happy to be the tiger. "Eye of the tiger baby!"
all your nicknames are pretty good and the stories behind them are even better...I don't have a nickname but I think I need one cus my real name is Angel!
Huh i would be kool with angel. Just get some wings tattooed on the back build up your lats flare'em and say look what i can fly with.
I have had many different nicknames ranging from high school to college...
I started getting called deez nuts in high school then gunshow for my arm flexing.
My first nickname in college was shuttle because I was playing a backyard football game and I ran over a kid while carrying the ball.
My nickname from my current roomates is boar for eating plates of just straight up steak...
because I missed out when God handed out creativity, I go by mark_b. First name, last name initial. Sometimes I add an 84 because that was a pretty good year in my books. Wow, that's pretty exciting.
Simple. Uncreative. Could have come up with something more meaningfull/creative, its easy for me tho
Sugarbutt
07-18-07, 3:45 pm
Sugarbutt - nickname given to me by a friend of mine when I sarcastically called him 'sweetie.' "All right, Sugarbutt" was his response...it kinda stuck...matches my desire to have a sweet ass, I guess??
One of the repair men where I work actually called me "Sugarbutt" the other day, unbeknownst to him about my previous status as Sugarbutt. I about died laughing. =)

Ha same boat. mjsef88 is a combo of my first and middle initials, start of last name, and birthyear.
the guys at the gym and also my boxing gym call me "Grace". Because when i started there they just thought they had some big, uncoridinated white guy. They said i moved gracely for my size, and the name Grace was born.
Maximus-if you have seen Gladiator, then I need not say anymore. I try my best everyday to better myself whether in the gym or not. I love to display power, integrity, and strength in the gym everyday. I prepare for War as I down my Shock Therapy and begin my daily punishment. I, as all of you have also, had to fight for every ounce of muscle I have built and I WILL NOT allow myself to fall into the arms of laziness. I have too many friends who have said that I will end up fat and lazy...They will not win, as I will be the man who will look at them in 20 years and laugh b/c I know that for every 3 meals they ate a day, I ate 6-8...for every day they just jack-assed around and did what they thought was a workout, I will be deadlifting 405 for reps with bloody shins dripping...and for every comment they made, I will push out that extra rep to make sure that I am that much better than they ever will be...
The_Dude
07-18-07, 5:19 pm
I call everyone dude, so people started to call me the dude. I also heard that it was in a movie or something. Not sure which one though. I have another name that I use everywhere else but decided to use this one here. Nothing special.

Little Houghton
07-18-07, 5:38 pm
mine came from when i first started putting up some respectable numbers at the gym, but i had/have zero definition or cuts. the owner of the gym was talkin to my brother and said i was "farm boy strong" and when i made it on the bench wall he wrote my name up as farm boy, so it kinda stuck.

Steroids- glad this one didnt stick for long. My friends said that I gained a lot of weight in a short amount of time and that I was juicing. Well I wasnt I had been lifting for years before anyone noticed I guess.
Speedy Gonzalez- from my breif baseball career. Could run to 1st in sum like 3 seconds. I was 12 and weighed 65 pounds.
I chose this name when I became a fan of M.M.A. & rediscovered weightlifting both about the same time. It's kinda like a alter ego & it takes me away from everyday life, the name allows me to relive my glory days when I was proud to walk across campus shirtless. My nickname is more than a nickname it's a new way of life

Armyof1 is just a "joke" online 'cuz I'm, duh, in the Army. My real name is Todd and all of my friends would be calling me "F***in' Todd." Every time I walked into the classroom, party, wherever, "F***in Todd." I was just that guy. When we grew up a little bit and started minding our mouths in public and not droppin' Ef Bombs everywhere I became "That Guy."
NPC Chicka
07-21-07, 4:04 am
Mine's pretty easy, also.
I compete in bodybuilding......... the NPC is the organization I compete "in" as I still have amateur status, hence the "NPC" part of my handle.
Women are called many things on the positive side ( and some on the negative side, too LOL) ; chick is one , "chicka" is another.
So, I basically fused the two: NPC Chicka ( stating that I'm a female that competes in the NPC).
I have been asked, when I turn pro, how the handle will change to reflect the new organization I'll be in. I can't decide between : Pro Chicka or IFBB Chicka.......... LOL .....but I gotta get there first to worry about that.
For those that "wish" to know, my real name is Andrea and I pronounce is Ann-Dreea.....not Aun- dreeeea.......I will not answer to anything else, so either get it right, or you're talking to a wall......ROFL.
NPC Chicka or Andrea lol
Lowdown5
07-23-07, 9:36 pm
My last name is Loman, I work in the mortgage business. When we have a tough deal that nobody thinks can get done, they bring it to me. Getting a tough deal done is called getting it down. One day one of the guys that works for me said that "Low can get it down" and one of the other guys started calling me Low-Down. 5 was my Dad's favorite number, so here I am, Lowdown5.
Molasses
07-24-07, 2:33 pm
I took on the nickname Hickory, which is my last name when my friends thought i was strong like a tree.
My handle, Molasses, started at culinary school because i was "slower than molasses" haha.
Molasses has stuck around and is now my performance name, for when i rap, it also gets tagged on my art.
first name is kyle, so Kylie Kaos is my photography modeling name.
widdlewade44
07-24-07, 2:39 pm
I was Finster growing up (from Looney Tunes Baby Finster) and I picked up widdle wade (from Marvel Comics, widdle wade is Deadpool's nemesis) and 44 is my favorite number. Simple enough I suppose. Peace.

08-07-07, 10:15 pm
I'm a high school rugby player and I have a black skully that during my first season I used to wear to nearly every game we had and on that hat it says "rugby feel the pain" in bold letters. I picked 12 because I used to play inside center so thats what number I wore. And everytime I log on I think about the skullly and it just reminds me of how far I've come since I started playing and everything.
MELTDOWN
08-07-07, 10:24 pm
Phil800101
08-07-07, 11:11 pm
Phil is the name I go by, even though my full name is Philip. 800101 comes from the Terminator movies, in that Arnold Schwarzenegger was a Series 800 Model 101 Terminator. Anyway, I just put the two together and added it after my name, nothing special, just expressing my love of Terminator 1 & 2 in a unique way. It's the name I've been using on forums, AIM, and other stuff since back in high school.
no joke, my nickname really is Mr. Perfect lol
Hoffdogg
11-29-07, 3:38 pm
I was curious about this and did a search. So bringing it back for anyone new.
Hoffdogg was my nickname in the Marine Corps, last name is Hoffman so it was either Hoff or Hoffdogg.
My last name is Godsey, so my lifetime nickname was GOD-C, but someone had already flippin taken that when I got on here, so I went with FAO, stands for Financial Aid Officer, just my current job, what you gonna do?

11-29-07, 4:55 pm
Well im a huge videogame nerd and a big fan of the metal gear series. Foxhound is this elite group of freak soldiers that have special abilities. So one day I was wearing a metal gear shirt while I was at the gym. Well one of my friends came to pick me up from the gym and saw my veins still popping from my forearms and my arms were still pumped and then told me "holy shit, Im going to start calling you the Foxhound Bodybuilder. And thats how I chose my name

Grond ('Hammer of the Underworld' - taken from Tolkein... 'No Wall Between, No Power Against, No Endurance of Souls' lay the inscription this mace bore that gave unending might to this weapon, wielded by the Most Ancient and Blackest of Gods, Morgoth)
Al-Ghoul ('The Demon') in ancient arabic
I went with Brute since it embodies what I want to become physically, and it's also the nickname of Aidan Hughes from Brute Propaganda (KMFDM album art) that has a lot of strong imagery.
Brute as a title or nickname is also pretty counter to our age where everybody's an expert and physical excellence is downplayed as vanity. Everybody's always pushing the cerebral by itself.
I also think to become what I want I have to train like a brute - not succumbing to the criticism and arm-chair philosophies that all the haters like to throw out at you.

escholar05
11-30-07, 10:00 pm
Mine's because I'm an Evans Scholar (escholar) at Ohio State. The 05 because that was my football number.
Due to so many injuries the folks where I train sometimes call me Stiff. It has nothing to do with a certain part of the male anatomy, despite what people keep asking me. If I had thought of that I would have chosen a different name when I signed up. I could have chosen "Pharmacist" since that is my other nickname at my gym because I carry around a big bag full of Universal supps wherever I go.
Renji007
11-30-07, 10:10 pm
Mine is from a pretty weird source. It's from a cartoon show I used to watch with my friends a long time ago, I acted a lot (and still do for some reason >>) like the character named Renji so the name was often used by them and now it's just as if it were my real name.

BigBlueBear
12-27-07, 12:59 pm
BigBlueBear... yeah, it ain't a normal one I reckon.
Back in high school I was always a pretty cut up dude cause of training and football. Anyways... I digress.
So I'm passed out at an all night party at some dude's house (hell if I know who's it was, it was a big ol party). I went off to sleep in a hallway cause there was no where else to lay down or be alone. Unfortunately... I'm a snorer and that didn't go over too well with some jackass.
Dude kicked me once and I guess I erupted on him, to that I don't recall. But being in a big blue hoodie sweatshirt and blue jeans... I guess everyone said I was like a freakin savage beast.
So as the story got retold a hundred times at school the next week, different variations kept being told. The only thing that remained consistant was people coming up to me and calling me...

Feel The Power
12-27-07, 1:00 pm
My name is feel the power. It comes from the motto of a legendary long distance runner named Mel Kenoky. Mel lived in the frozen tundra up in Wisconsin and never missed a day training. Sun, rain, show, freezing rain... whatever was going on he never missed a day. Many frigid days you would see him running on the frozen tundra in sub zero tempetures. He wasn't the fastest ever, but he was model of consistency. A few of the guys I grew up with adopted his "feel the power" motto when we played any sports. So we feel the power in any sport we try and strive to do our best. I felt it would be an appropiate in lifting. You must feel the power each training day. So get in the gym and go for it!!!!
Phoenix Rising

Phoenix Rising - I went through a load of personal shit about five years back now and was able to survive while other things around me crumbled. So, I am like a Phoenix Rising from the ashes.
RogueLion
12-27-07, 8:29 pm
Roguelion is an actual term in nature for a lion with no pride, who roams on his own or with another rogue lion. These lions are usually stronger and faster because they have to hunt for themselves, whereas, in most prides the females do the hunting. I am a lion or so i'm told by every one.
Louie, Ferrigno, Hulk: I got this during my college football because I looked like him. I really did, I get it at work too when my hair is long. I tell people he was 6'5 and I'm not...but anyways I guess I like it. Heheh.
Spartan: The guys at my gym call me this cause I train so hard, and look so fucking sexy in red.
Mythic: Got called this in HS cause of my size and strength.
Hodge, or Haj. Last name is hajiyerou.
I like Ev though, for evan

i got many nicknames kinda hard to find 1 that suited me really
Silverback-because i have a very large back and its usually white lol despite the rest of me being a lil darker....
Beast- just a nickname i picked up when i started out b/c i used to growl while curling
Damage- Due to the fact i used to break the cable machines and leg presses in our school gym
Iron Man-a few gurls call me that since everytime i get hit with a 45 or bar i go about as nothing happened... so they call me iron man lol
And Finally .... MassMonster or Mass .... After my first show i decided on a name that'd depict my mental drive in the gym and the size i had on naturally... and 1 of my buddies in school called me mass man since i gained like size and strength quickly from liftin ... so i thought about it and created MassMonster.... which people now know me as...

Just wish mine had a meanin' behind like some of the other peeps on here. Nothin' meant by what I posted earlier.
There is a fine line right before you lose Control. It is at that point that anything seems possible. Reckless Abandon they call it. In everything I do, I either go 100% or I don't go at all. In my earlier years I was not such a good judge of my limitations, and had several accidents. Therefore, I was dubbed Crash.

paintrain69
12-30-07, 9:38 pm
PAINTRAIN69- well sorry bros if this bores you but i aint a very big guy so i never have gotten the nickname massmonster and juggernaut and etc. but 69 was my football number throughout high school not because of the sexual terminology but because it was the only offensive lineman number because i played offensive and defensive line. back on task. the reasons i was on the line is because the coaches thought i was mean enough but also quick/strong enough. well when i fired off the ball i came with a full head of steam aint no stoppin me i just had and still have that kind of intensity and instinct. i would fly across the field either to make a tackle or block for my brothers and i would plaster ppl. not braggin cause i mean kinda feel bad. but i've knocked a total of 7 kids unconscious in football and broke several peoples ribs and etc. that's how i got the nickname of animal but paintrain because when i come im coming hard even if im injured or going to injure you...it just kinda sticks and if you don't believe me heres one clip on youtube for enjoyment so you know i aint blowin smoke.lol. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXTL1-zsUXQ that shot right there mad my lips numb...knocked the kid unconscious and broke a few of his ribs...i still talk to the fella and we've become good friends believe it or not.lol. sorry if this is lame...but you ask...so ima tell...

gunner79
02-07-08, 10:10 am
I got the name Gunner from my gym buddies about 6 or so years ago. I always had the biggest arms in the bunch, and I used to yell at them like a drill instuctor when we trained so they started calling me Major Guns, later it was shortened to Gunner, and has stuck ever since, now when people I know outside the gym call me by my real name, half the time i don't respond cause I don't realize they are talking to me, because I am so used to being called my nickname. The 79 is just the year I was born, so I added that to the end for my screen name.
Cellerator65
02-07-08, 1:56 pm
cellerator is a puma product, and i love puma. It is my screen name, and i've had it since high school. the 65 was the cost of a goalie jersey that i liked. not that cool, but its me!
well on here it's just my initials and for the year I was born.I had it changed on bbing.com though after I had a friend from school come lift with me and I pulled 350 on the deads, raping my shins and just kept going with drops from that down to 225 for 18 and I just kept making my shins bleed(I didnt even realize lol)and afterwrads at school the next day he went around tellin everyone I was like a Titan in there. So I figured eh why not seems to fit my intensity in the weight room.

My Current Nickname, is "The Hulk".
Mr. Dead
02-07-08, 5:58 pm
I got the nickname Mr. Dead from a few different areas, but it all started when Mad Max: Beyond Thunder Dome came out, and there was a phrase there about how he was the one that keeps "Mr. Dead" in his pocket. Working in the nursing field, you wind up having to get the deceased cleaned up, and ready for the family and the mortuary. A lot of nurses had trouble dealing with that, and I always did such a "beautiful" job, that I wound up doing a lot more of it. So, they would say go get "Mr. Dead" to help you. Between that, and the fact that I like horror movies, and Halloween is my favorite holiday...
IronWilson
02-08-08, 11:22 am
My nickname comes from the movie castaway, because of the way I wear my hair (spiked up in the front) supposedly I look like Wilson (the volleyball) from the movie Castaway. And plus my real name is really hard to say.
No one really talks to me at the gym. To my face anyway. ha ha. So I've never been given a nickname at the gym.
Other than that, a lot of people call me Scumfuck.

"Smuck-a-duck" : Thank you for that one Mom.
"Smuck" : Dad was not so good with many syllables.
"Daddy Long Legs" : Refering to one who is taller than most.... by a lot.
"Workman" : A last name used in place of the first given name.... Because most of the people I associated with in school didn't know I had a first name.... They didn't catch on to quick in college either.
"Humanlung" : Refering to one that sang a babershop christmas song at his christmas concert in high school and posted a sustained note for 30 seconds.... And was so dubbed by his choir teacher shortly thereafter.
"Tito" : As in refrence to a character in the X-rated movie "Dog Walker." .... I miss college.
"Sir J-Werk" : From what once was just "J-Werk." Squired by another onliner after my feats of search engine finesse impressed upon him so.

I honestly thought it was because you were good at deadlifts lol
I love nicknames,
I got two really, one is Shaq, my last name is jurschak, which rhymes wit shak. I liked to fuck people up in football, hockey and rugby so people just called me shak for short.
Once I started playing rugby in college we all got nicknames and mine ended up being 'staples', because I was in bed with a girl and we fell off and she got staples in her head, not exactly a moment of triumph, but w/e. Peace

My actual nickname is Shadow been that for a min got from the cats I use to run with when I was a youngn'. They used to say I was weird and mysterious, dark all that type of shit and it developed from there. The exsoul portion actually means external soul, just means I'm in touch with my soul, its all around me not just inside, so I put them together.

LHS Monster
03-16-08, 10:50 pm
well i got a teacher at my school who was a beast and he pretty much taught me everything i kno about lifting and he is actually one of my better friends and we lift together almost 3 times a week. Well anyway i guess he was in class and showing the kids some of my work for ideas for their stuff and sumone is like is that the one kid who is always up here and he said yes. and the students response was "oh shit hes a monster" and once a couple other kids over the next few months chimed in with pretty much the same response he told me about it one day while we were lifting. And this is pretty much the motivation he uses when he wants me to force out the last little bit of strength from me in our workouts. and its kinda stuck over the last few years. add the initials of my high school just for reppin purposes and BAM LHS MONSTER becomes my screen name and forvm name

Well with my last name being spelt Bear-se my buddy Fox(<- yes it's his real name, lol) just started calling me Bear. RedLegCulbe
08-08-08, 6:49 am
RedLegCulbe is one of my two nicknames... Culbe is the first part of my last name which is Culbertson. One of the other soldiers that I lift with started calling me Culbe for short. We are in an artillery battery and cannoneers are known as red legs, for the red pinstripe that the officers used to have down the seems of their pants legs of their class A's, in WW2 and before. So I became RedLegCulbe...
My second nickname is DeepDish, which as you can imagine is because at many points in time I was overweight. It's a work in progress to make it to thincrust but my mistress iron will get me there with work.

Mr. Aestheticz
10-13-08, 4:04 pm
First off let me show you how to pronounce it because I know 90 percent of you have no frigen clue how OT pronounce it lmao!
es - thet -icz
1. Pertaining to a sense of the beautiful or to the science of aesthetics.
2. Having a sense of the beautiful; characterized by a love of beauty.
3. Characterized by a heightened sensitivity to beauty.
Its a fancy word used by artists, I got my degree in ART so we used it alot!
Long story short I ran a small clothing company that sold clothes and the name of the clothing company was Aestheticz Clothing, so one day I got an email from someone and they didn't know my name so they called me Mr. Aestheticz and it stuck.
Plus it transfers into bodybuilding dealing with the human physique and the beauty of how bodybuilders, figure competitors, and so forth look like on stage, wweeelll some of us!
Giant Killer
10-13-08, 4:11 pm
#1) I'm 5'9". I've got good shoulders/back, small waist, and good strong legs and calves. When my physique reaches it's full potential I hope I have the ability to slay taller guys in contests with thick muscle and quality lines.
#2) Everyone has a metaphorical giant they need to kill. A behemoth to overcome. I've got plenty of skeletons in my closet, just like the next guy.
#3) Imagine if you will, a horror movie monster- a giant killer. (as in large and imposing instrument of destruction)
That's Giant Killer in a nutshell!
