I really am starting to see the current trend in American society today and it really makes me sick to my stomach. Everyone is just trying to get their fair share of coddling and condolence for any shortcoming they encounter in their life. Well what the fuck. What did people do 100 years ago when they were sad because something didn't go their way or they got laid off or they didn't have a good day? They went out and made changes to see that the problem wouldn't repeat itself! They had no BLOGS or Message boards to post on, No Twitter or Facebook Status, no instant messages to tell the world that they are having a bad day. No therapists to lay on a leather couch and talk to their feelings about. Like really? Are you going to complain to me because you are doing the same thing in your life over and over and expecting different results? Go out there and make tough decisions and put yourself in a better life position.
My girlfriend is a teacher and she relays what she sees in kids now-a-days as far as whats going on. It seems like every kid has some type of problem. What did people do before they had all these special diagnosis' for depression and ADD? When I was a kid in catholic school the nun's would crack us across the knuckles if we mouthed off or couldn't sit still, now they want to say that the kid has some type of impairment, take him out of the classroom and give him/her special attention, and continue this type of special attention up and though college. Really, What type of fucking accountability are you teaching children if every kid that has a problem sitting still for longer than 10 minutes or can't focus 100% of the time is getting hauled off to a rubber room to be cuddled and told they are perfect. Now dont get me wrong im not going after kids that have legitimate disabilities, and for those I feel truly sorry for. Im saying that the average kid is no longer outside playing on swing sets and throwing the football in the streets, he's inside playing XBox screaming at his mother/father about how he wants more juice. Zero discipline, Zero accountability. Now the story progresses...
Everybody has an excuse it seems, nobody can just say 'yes sir' or 'yes maam' and just do it! It has to be 'well....' or 'but.....' total BULLSHIT. This level of no accountability across the boards.
Now in relating this to weightlifting, a majority of the things that piss me off include people's lack of common sense. Now i know not everyone comes from an exercise or fitness background but are people REALLY that dumb? I mean I understand that a majority of the world just saps in their surroundings like a sponge like reality television, MTV and everything they read in the newspapers and in magazines. Common sense is the key to being successful in any endeavor in this life we live. If you think you are fucking up, chances are that you are. If you are working hard, doing what you're supposed to be doing and making headway, then my friend there will be a light at the end of the tunnel.
....I will now sum up a majority of posts to internet weightlifting forums.
If you want to get stronger, you are supposed to lift, right? Exactly.
Compound movements produce the largest strength and mass gains, right? Correct.
If I train my biceps 3x a week but don't train my legs at all I will have big arms but small legs, right? True.
If I want to squat more what should i do? Squat correctly and more often.
What supplements should I take? Whatever you can take after you can afford to have a balanced and complete diet.
I only consume protein, no carbs or fats, is this wrong? Yes
I only consums carbs, no protein or fats, is this wrong? Yes

Now in a perfect world.....
I eat a complete and balanced diet, exercise and do cardio regularly, rotate my exercises and poundage's, sleep 8 hours a night, try to avoid alcohol and processed foods and don't get caught up in the hype of the sports supplement market, only purchasing what I believe to be essential and worthwhile. I am getting bigger, stronger and leaner every week and have new found self confidence. I must be doing this right.
