Ok, so I gathered that I'm a front delt pusher with benchpresses, since my front delts and triceps are growing like weeds but the chest...not so much. I know this could be genetic but anyway...
I saw on another thread to arch the back, pressing the shoulder-blades together, and puff the chest out-to solve this problem.
Now however, I am experiencing a sharp pain on the front of my left Trap when I do this. Any advice? I want to train my chest effectively, but not at the cost of messing up something else. I would note that my chest does feel like this method is working.

Try pre-exhausting your chest with a flye movement before pressing or gripping the barbell alot wider.

It's pretty hard to say what could be causing you pain in your trap while you're pressing.

If you don't like the arched back, atleast try to draw your shoulder blades together and perhaps try widening your grip. Also, don't flare out your elbows.

Are you planting your heels, or your toes?
When i press, its through my heels, like when squating, slight arch in m y lower back, shoulder baldes together at the bottom, bar at mid/lower chest level, then as i push up the bar moves from mid/lower to upper chest and i pull my lats around and push through with them, squeezing my pecs at the top.
bottom is 1-2 inches from my body, top is 1-2 inches from lockout.
I dont know how "correct" my form is though...
