I workout in my basement and am following routine 1 from the animalpak website. I am lifting heavy for each exercise and am wondering if I should do 5 reps for each exercise or 6 reps. The sets will stay the same as the routine states. My goal is strength and size. Let me know what you fellas think.

I would go 8-7-6 reps, increasing the weight. Under 6 isn't the best shit for hypertrophy.

Even a 10,8,6 will work well for muscle growth whilst improving strength.

I appreciate the advice fellas. The rep counts you suggest are kind of high for a full body routine that uses compound exercises and heavy weight.

no pain no gain bro! just try what fits to you the best.. if your body goes bigger/stronger with low reps instead of high, go for it. the rep ranges are only general patterns, listen to your body and push hard.

EAT , eat eat...Those first twow set you can tweak them 8, 8, then the last one go heavy good form on at least 4 or 5 of the last set not to heavy to injure youself but to shock the muscle to get them ready for the next time you hit them they will remember the weight and you should be abe to go a little heavier. Remember not to go heavy all the time though. Hope that helps.
