Sup guys. I wanna start doing dips for my lower chest because it is laggng like no other. I have no problem doing dips or even weighted dips, but after my presses and such, as soon as i go up for dips, my rotater cuffs and front delts cant even support me. Should i move dips to the beginning of my workout to bring up my lower chest. P.S., i do not do decline press because my body does not respond to it, only my front delts do, i feel 0% chest work when doing them
theres no such as "lower chest"....there is the major and minor. Dips are an overall mass builder. I recommend doing them after ur major pressing motions (barbell or dumbell presses). If ur rotator cuff is bothering you, its probably an issue regarding form. Make sure ur leaning forward.

i agree with sir, but i love dips i always feel them in my outer chest and their a great sahping exercise
ouch...Im recovering from bi's last night...and the ol cuff reminded me of what pain can be when I tryed to do the standing dumb bell curls instead of hammers...so..I agree with form and function...I do my best to find with allows me to work around the friggen cuff pain and then pump the shit out of what aver Im working on......I to like the dips...but it kills the cuff...so I quit doing them and do hammer strength dec machine....pull overs.....smith machine press incline and flat....hammer s machine decline
good luck bro...
There's no "outer" chest either and there's no such thing as shaping exercises
Give your chest some time to develop. Stick to your flat bench presses and hopefully you'll see some results with the pecs. Hope this helps.

another philly boy, with the lower chest dips are key make sure that there is a lean forward so that a stretch can be felt in the chest. also try decline flies as well. this all takes time like everyone else has said, just stay motovated and the results you want will come

There isn't seperate sections but you can defintley target an area of the major/minor pec. You can not totally isolate it but you can absolutley put more emphasis on a region. If you couldn't then there would be no sense doing anything but flat bench. I love doing weighted dips for lower pecs and I also get nothing from declines, nothing. I get the same aches and pains you get but not as bad. Like someone mentioned lean into them. I would hate to do them first b/c I like doing my primaries first, incline, flat. It is hard to assess without seeing your physique. Be patient, I am sure you have. Pound the flat, it will help development. If it really lags and you can't do them on chest day maybe consider doing 3-4 sets of dips on leg day or back day, which ever is not too close to chest day. I hate to suggest that b/c most people overtrain as it is and this might lead to that. Good luck
