Decided to start keeping a log here. Never done this before, but I think it will help serve as some extra motivation. Going to start a new routine today. I've been fooling around with some other stuff lately (high volume, DC) but today I'm going back to what works. I'm an advocate of moderate volume and moderate intensity. My routine is very similar to that of Yates. Training blood and guts style is extremely appealing to me.
I'll start posting some stats here soon enough, but I just wanted to get the ball rolling here.

So yesterday was the first day of training on my new routine. I worked Chest, Front and Side delts, and triceps. All in all a good first day. For each exercise, I do a few heavy warmups and do 1 all out set. On each my sets, I tried something new this time. I would bring the bar down, do a half rep, bring it down and do a full rep. This constitutes 1 full rep. Using this technique can help focus on the targeted muscle more and makes for a brutal set. As always, after reaching muscular failure on my all out set, I bring the bar down and pump out some semi-stretched partials. I also keep strict form and move slowly on the negative. Well, here's how it went:
Incline: 225/8
Pec Deck: 120/12
Hammer Chest Press: 4 pies/8
DB SHoulder Press: 65/10
Cable side raises: 35/8
BB upright rows: 135/8
Skull crushers: 65/12
Tricep pushdowns (Cutler style): 80/12
All in all a pretty decent day (especially on very little carbs). Today I'm carbing up and have a big back/bis day ahead of me. Will update later.
Peace
Logs are a good thing to have man...i need to start one...looking forward to seein more!

Another day in the trenches training back and bicpeps. Don't have my numbers with me, so I'll be estimating (should be accurate). For most of the exercises, I performed the sets and reps the same way I did for chest, shoulders and tris. I built my way up to one all out set, where I did 1 full rep followed by a partial rep and repeated. That constitutes one rep. I followed up with some x-reps. The exception was deadlifts. I performed those regular, and threw in a rest-pause set.
T-bars: 3 pies/10
Rear delt cable raises: 30/12
Lat pullovers on the cable machine: 40/12
Hammer pulldowns: 2 pies each side/12
Seated shrugs: 140/12
Deads: 315/10
Seated DB curls: 30/10
Hammer preacher curls: 45/10
If anyone has any questions on my training style, diet, etc. Please feel free to post on this thread. I am currently dieting, but I'm sure my numbers will be going up considering this is my first week and this strategy is new to me.

Big leg day coming up today. It's also a low carb day, so this should be interesting. Just finished eating some egg whites and some chocolate protein mixed with natural peanut butter. GOod stuff. Gotta get back to work.
Peace

A good leg day yesterday. haven't trained them in a while, so they are sore as hell today. For legs, I usually perform one all out set. I do the exercise to failure, cut the weight in half and then perform a brutal drop set. My goal is to get 20 reps on the drop. As always, I use perfect form and go ass to the grass on squats in order to stimulate lower quad development.
Squat
Leg extensions
Leg Press
Split squats
Lying leg curl
Stiff legged DLs
Seated calf raise
leg press calf raise
