I'm is there a happy medium between being a powerlifter and a bodybuilder? I'm 22
255lbs at 12%bf. I'd like to keep a lower bodyfat, but maintain weight. In the past I've made it down to 6% bodyfat and 225, but my lift suffered. I'm finishing the last few months of my time in the military and would like to start training for strongman comps. I've been lifting for about 5 years now, I'm not new to this. What I've been doing now to cut fat is 30-45min on the elliptical with high resistance and keeping my heart rate around 135(after lifting). Thinking about doing cardio in the mornings as well. I don't know. Maybe there is someone that could point me in a better direction. If I'm not being specific enough, I'd be glad to give more info. Thank you guys. Stay Strong!
