Just the last set. I would probably on ly do a dropset for one or two excerises, not all of them.

Drops sets for me work best when I use Cables or Dumbbells. I like to do them at the end of my workout, and for only one exercise. I like to immediately get to the next weight when I drop... man what a Burn... I make the oddest sounds!

I only do them every 3rd or 4th workout.

so if u're dropping at the last set only, wat were the first few sets?? pyramid??

for the first set of shoulder presses, i use the weight in which i fail at 10 reps.. then i deduct 33%% of the current weight and do another 10 reps.. sometimes i fail here, sometimes i dun.. sometimes i even fail before 10 reps.. after that, i deduct another 33% of that weight and go to failure which is around 10 too..

i'm trying to put on some solid mass..

I rotate different techniques:
- 5 sets of 8 using nearly the same weight
- 4 sets of 5-3 with heavy weight
- Pyramid varying from 15 reps down to 4
- ect
There is not a set formula. As rcrott1 asked, “...what is your goal from the workout?? what weights are you liftin?”

Drop set (for me) are a way to Over Exhaust the body part. I would not want to do that for every exercise.

I use drop sets usually with my bi's. I like to drop set the last exercise with some DB curls. I usually go with a weight for 10, go down 5lbs., 10 again, down 5lbs., 10 again. Serious acid like burn, it's the best. But again, I only use it with the last exercise kind of like a finale of the workout.

Dropping the sets is the training method that works the best for me. I execute drop sets for every exercise I do. I actually perform 6 sets total. 3 sets pyramiding the weight up and than dropping the weights for 3 sets with the same weights. Coumpound execercises I do 15-12-8-8-8-to failure and for isolation excercises I do 20-15-10-10-10-to failure. Legs coumpound excersises 20-15-10-10-10-to failure Legs isolation excersises 25-20-15-15-15-to failure.

For instance bench press:
15 reps with 135 lbs
rest
12 reps with 185 lbs
rest
8 reps with 225 lbs
rest
8 reps with 225 lbs
no rest
8 sets with 185 lbs
no rest
to failure with 135 lbs

This training method I can do for one to a maximum of two weeks. Not more because it really breaks you down. But it really helps you to make those gains you wanna make.
