Since I was able to score the first can off the production line yesterday, I figured I'd log my thoughts. I'll be taking the caps as I had originally Alpha Tested the powder version. I wanna see how the caps are in comparison to the powder.

Here were the vids we shot yesterday to kick things off:
Rage 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWf22ZMEDy0
Rage 2http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tL3_ElDTvzE&feature=feedlik

Here's my initial assessment--
Powder hits you quick. Within about 10 min you can feel it working. The caps are more sustained. I felt it after about 30 mins getting into my body. For days where I'm not yet ready to slam down a quick shot of Rage, I'll be taking the caps. I like having the option to choose between the two though.

Just hit up some chest with NG, G Diesel, Aggression. C. Coronato, T. Kemble and ToSo. Kinda like a mini-ABC, lol. I had the caps 45 min before the workout and was ready to go for the 2pm training.
Here's what went down--
Warmups
135 x 8
135 x 8
BW x 22 (just barely missed 23!)
225 x 11
225 x 5 (with rest/pause)
I believe there is video floating somewhere for the rep set.

Hey Brother,

As you say that the powder hits you quicker, do you find that one lasts longer than another or are they about equal in effect? I'm picking up at the cage...hopefully and really want to try out the powder.

Thanks J See ya soon.

Quick update: Cycled off Rage for a few days. I wanted to cycle off prior to the Arnold Expo and The Cage. I want Rage to be in full effect during the weekend, haha.

Got to Columbus yesterday and we're now ready to rock and roll today. 6am and I'll be tossing back some Rage now.

Having Rage in my corner for the weekend was awesome. Let me tell you, it's one long weekend of constant events and massive amounts of people. Rage helped to keep me focused throughout the weekend. I took it first thing in the morning and I could feel the sustained energy and focus throughout the day all the way to the workout at nighttime. One dose did the trick. Best thing was no crash. Some guys were drinking other energy drinks throughout the weekend with Rage. To me that's just crazy. It's a sign that you need to cycle off of stimulants and allow your receptors to take some time off from being hit hard. Too much ain't a good thing and can affect your sleep habits, eating habits and negatively impact your short term and long term goals for size. Gotta use energy products strategically which is why I like Rage--One shot is all ya need.

Just got back to lifting today and had an awesome back workout today with just a half serving of Rage. Even 1/2 a serving hit me quick and I felt it throughout the workout. If I take Rage too late in the day, b/c I'm sensitive to stims, it affects my sleep. So 1/2 a serving was what was called for and it did its job.

Good shit J-Dawg. Anything that messes with your sleep is a waste as we all know muscle is built during recovery.

It was great to finally meet you this weekend and shoot the shit for awhile. You guys busted your ass to make the Cage a complete success. I am proud to be considered part of the Animal family.

Recently, I've implemented the following protocol for my workouts and Rage:
Afternoon workout:I do half a serving in the morning upon waking and half a serving 1/2 hour before an afternoon workout
Morning workout: Full serving of Rage 1/2 hour prior to the workout.

Rage really kicked into gear for my leg workout on Sunday. I had taken 15 days off from hitting legs and wasn't sure what to expect. I was tired going into the workout and it took a little while to warmup--

Here's what went down:
ATG Squats
135 x 10
135 x 10
135 x 10 (finally felt warmed up)
225 x 8
315 x 8
335 x 5
The lifts felt better than expected and as crazy as it sounds I stopped there b/c I hadn't trained legs for 15 days and I know how easy it is to stress the endocrine and nervous system if not properly acclimated. My legs are still sore today (Wed) so I know I made the right call.

Front Squats (need to work on the grip b/c my wrists hurt while holding the weight)
135 x 10
135 x 10
185 x 6
185 x 6
Couldn't hold the weight with my grip so I stopped there. Gonna try to wrap my arms around the bar next time.

Leg Extensions
5 sets x 12-15

Leg Curls (Lying)
6 sets x 12-15

Killer leg workout. Im lookin forward to trying some new tips I learned for squating from Mr. Skibba soon. Squats have been a weak spot for me, both regular and front. I can relate to the grip issues on the front squat.

Solid leg thrashing, with a little help from RAGE. Gotta love that stuff.

Two other workouts to update here...

Shoulders
Standing BB Press
Warmups (3 sets)
135 x 8
155 x 6
160 x 10
Did full range of motion here--from below chin up to lock out (come at me NG)

Seated DB Press
40s x 10
60s x 10
80s x 6
More explosive here--kept tension on the muscle

Side Laterals
4 sets x 12

Calves: 10 sets standing calf raises in between sets.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Trained some deads with NG. Nothing too heavy. Just getting back into the swing of heavier deads. Gotta start a bit lighter before progressing up again.

Deadlifts
Warmup
135 x 10
225 x 6
225 x 6
275 x 5
315 x 5
365 x 5
405 x 5

Rack Deads
4 sets x 5

Barbell Rows
185 x 5 x 10

Abs: 5 sets of ab twists finished with 1 set of crunches to failure

I'm loving Rage before the workouts. Biggest thing I feel is focus and increased intensity while lifting. Really kicks in on the top sets.

Haha, I think it could. Increased focus while training + performance boosters = a good possibility for an extra edge.

Still training hard and had some great workouts this past week. Rage gets me amped up for my lifts and even when I'm feeling a bit under the weather, it gives me the boost I need to get through the session.

Here was my most recent session--

Squats
135 x 12
135 x 12
225 x 8
315 x 5
335 x 3
355 x 3 (was surprised to hit 3 as my opener at the IPA event was 360). Reps felt good and I had some more in the tank but didn't push it b/c of my hamstring.

Front Squats
135 x 10
135 x 10
185 x 6
185 x 6
Gotta find a way to grip the bar better or else I could train heavier here.

Leg Extensions
5 sets x 12

Leg Curls (Seated)
5 sets x 12-15

Leg Curls (Lying)
4 sets x 12

Abs: did 5 sets each of leg raises w/ crunches.

Some missing workouts. Kickin' ass with Rage...

4.1.11
Had a pretty solid chest workout today. Hit a PR with 275 x 3, which before I was only able to hit 1 rep with. I've been working in some more close-grip bench on Tuesday's so that might be helping out.

Bench:
Warmups
135 x 10
135 x 10
185 x 8
225 x 5
275 x 3
295 x .5 (only got it up half way, lol)
225 x 10

Incline Flyes
4 sets x 12-15

Dips
3 sets x failure

ATG Squats (way past parallel, lol)
Warmups
135 x 12
135 x 12
225 x 8
315 x 5
335 x 3
365 x 1 ripped my boxers which threw me off b/c I thought I tore a muscle so I had to stop at 1 rep :(
Next week will be better

Leg Extensions
5 sets x 12-15

Leg Curls (Seated)
5 sets x 15

Let Curls (Lying)
5 sets x 15

Abductor/Adductor Machine
3 sets each x 15-20

Barbell Rows
Warmups
135 x 12
185 x 12
225 x 10

Been using Rage pre-basketball as well and I gotta say that it's really giving me a boost. I don't do much cardio and I've noticed that it's giving me a little extra energy and focus on the court. Also my recovery time between the bball games and weight training seems to be quite fast from what I remember in the past. I'm able to play bball one day and then hit heavy deads and upper back the next without much struggle.

Looking good!

you said you changed up your form for your bench, what did you do?

I've been working specifically on these things--My foot placement, using a slight arch in my back and bringing my shoulders and back down more on the bench to help give me more leverage and also with keeping my elbows in. Really made a difference in how I control the bar and explode up with it.
