Yo bros, anyone know what the hell happened to BigAnt aka Big Tony? I haven't been surfin' the Forum for a while until recently and he seems to have just disappeared. There's a tons of great adivce here on the Forum, but honestly he's one Animal who's posts, workouts and articles I followed religiously. If you know where he is tell him to get his fuckin' ass back on here so the rest of us can pick his brain again.

Inquiring minds would like to know. BigAnt was a fountain of knowledge and I learned a great deal from him.

Word around the campfire is that the man will be back in the building sometime soon... I too have missed his wisdom and positivity.
Peace, G
That's good too hear. Thanks G Diesel.

why is this posted twice. accident?
I don't think it's a secret, but Ant has been doing my contest prep for my shows in May. Back in late December Ant injured his quad at work. He's been on the comeback trail ever since. We have a serous Oscar Ardon/Kai Greene relationship (even down to the same leg lol) He's been training with me when I go up once a month to make changes for the prep. The greatest thing is that all the articles Ant writes about is truly how he goes about things. We've been friends for a while, but I have never spent this much time with him, both in and out of the gym. When he does comeback make sure you seek advice from him. He'll give ya the truth!

Good to hear. I love his style and approach to the sport. What amazes me about Ant is how he manages work all the hours he does and still fit in training and family time--definitely someone I can relate to.

I've seen him around here and there. Like a lot of us, he's a busy dude with much going on in life, so I'm sure that's what it is.

Just saw the other post.
Hello;
Thank you all for the kind questions/words and thoughts about me, well...I am back...I always speak-spoke about striving for that "balance." Well, having a son, AJ was just under a year old (AJ will be two in May) my wife working extra hours, me working full-time with the C/O job with the PA State and part-time at the Supermarket (held this job for over twenty eight years) and the personal training I do, not to mention my own training...it was time to put "back." Now AJ is older and my wife has some-what of a normal work schedule and so do I "some what" I am back! I did miss all of you and appreciate being back! Even time with my close local friends (Big Al, DaveK, TimK and Ryan) was cut to almost non-existent.
I was in off-season prep for the Master Nationals..all going great when in December 29, 2010 I was hurt very badly at work, I suffered a rupture (full thickness tear) of my right quad. Surgery followed on January 4, 2011. Let me tell you, being a two hundred and forty five pound lean muscled bodybuilder, using a walker for five weeks, crutches followed, being quarantined to my first floor of my house, not being able to take showers-baths-dress myself and making meals...I took all for granted. It really humbled me and I do appreciate things now much more!
I did not train at all in January-February. March I started PT three times per week. I trained with Scals twice in late March, with crutches and a leg mobilizer it was not fun but we did it...He was in pre-contest prep for the NGA Philly. In the first week of April, I was walking almost normal with no devices, my wife and I joined Retro Fitness which is located five minutes from my house and we bring AJ to their day care. Also I got in a great chest workouts with Big Al early in April in DE. I am back to training upper body close to one hundred percent, still have to watch stabilizing my right quad on certain exercises and still go to PT three times per week for lower body and cardio.
Thank you again for this thread! I look forward to re-connecting with my old buddies, making new ones and being back on the Forum!
BigAnt.
