This is a common interview question you see asked of body builders.
If you could only do 3 exercises, what would they be?
It's hard for me to narrow it down to just 3, but I'd probably go with squats, bench press, and pull ups. I'd like to include dead lifts, but I need something to hit my upper back.

i think i would do one exercise only and there called ( BEARS ) BEARS u ask, ahhhh, what are bears? They consist of a dead lift into a cling to a overhead press
down onto the shoulders into a full squat then reverse the order back to a dead lift, thats one rep!!!!

Too build a good physique on only three it would be - Squats, Barbell Rows and Bench.
But If I were looking to get stronger it would be Deads instead of rows..

Hack Squats (these always gave me better results than barbell squats due to my lack of ankle flexibility thus putting more tension on the quads by using the hack squat angle)
Rack Deadlifts (without touching the rack, the way Dorian use to do them, it uses nothing but back!)
Any kind of press or dip variation

You sure love training legs lol
You sure love training legs lol
There is no substitute for well developed legs; I don't advocate for obtaining them at the expense or exclusion of other bodyparts, but I can forgive two or three flaws on the top half if I can see that a man put his time in downstairs.
Just says something about an athlete.

Squats, bench, and deads.
But man..being limited to 3 exercises would suck!
HS Flat Bench Press, Leg Press, Pull ups
HS Bench gets good movement for wide to narrow chest developement. Leg press cause you can use a ton of weight, and I have a bad back, and nothing will give you back developement like a pull up. Wide, narrow, reverse grip. All areas of the back!

much appreciated brotha...i tend to gravitate toward violent movements that r explosive...especially if i can only choose three
The Bear
Tire Flips (225+lbs)
Clapping pushup to Burpee to Pull up to Knees to elbow = 1 rep
Yes I believe I cheated with the inclusion of the Bear and my Clapping pushup to Burpee to Pull up to Knees to elbow = 1 rep.... but if you're not cheating you're not trying.

BB Bench Press w/ Bands -- with a 15 degree incline
BB Underhand Row
BB Front Squat
If I really could only do those three my hamstrings and lateral delts would be so screwed!

Fortunately, I'm able to perform more than 3 exercises, so which ones I'd choose is irrelevant. However, the powerlifter in me would answer:
Squats, squats and more squats.
Incline bench
deads
squat
