I'm actually looking for some advice from everyone. I'm 20 6'3" and 200 lbs and have been training with one of my best friends (SlimJim) for our first body building show. all of the details are in this link http://www.rockysfitness.com/steel-valley-classic/ We were just looking for something close and open to the public. We have never done anything like this before but have been training like crazy and are now under 5 weeks out. I got a little nervous when I saw that we have to buy cards and sign to a seven year polygraph test. My reason is that I am trying to continue to play college baseball and I don't want to lose my eligibility. Besides that I was really just looking for some advice and pointers some of you more experienced guys might be able to throw our way. Anything is appreciated and I will keep this updated as I keep getting closer to the big day!!!

The show requires us to get NGA cards. That is normal right? I really have no idea on any of the details for this stuff haha

ya, usually to compete you have to be a member of that federation, which requires joining fees or 'membership fees'

Yup. Each organization requires membership prior to registering for a particular show.

I couldn't register for this show. The move has taken more out of me than I was expecting and I just didn't have the funds so I am shooting for another show in November

It has been a while since I have posted in here. I am going to change this to my journey and start updating my workouts and plans for the future.

Yesterday I ran to the park down the street and knocked out some pretty solid body weight training with squats, pushups, sprints, and a lot of stretching. Today is going to be some at home work on my small weight set but still going to knock out some chest and arms.
