Ok Sprent, here you go:
1 lb ground turkey breast
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp cajun seasoning (Emeril makes a good one and there are others in the spices section at the grocery)
1/4 tsp pepper
3 tbs light teriyaki sauce
1 tbs water
pam
1 large onion, cut into thin slices
1 tsp olive oil
4 buns
sliced tomato
lettuce leaves
other toppings: sliced cheese, jalapenos, olives
Combine first 4 ingredients in bowl. Divide into 4 patties, about 1/2" thick. Combine teriyaki and water in another small bowl.
Heat a large non-stick skillet coated with pam over med heat until hot. Add onion slices, cover and cook 10 min. Stir frequently until browned then remove from skillet. Keep warm. Add olive oil to pan, then patties and cook 5min. Add 3 tbs teriyaki mix to pan. Carefully turn patties over and cook another 3-5min or until desired doneness.
Stack your turkey burger however you like it.
PEPPERED TURKEY BURGERS
1 lb ground turkey breast
1 1/2 cups chopped watercress salad (peppery lettuce leaves)
3/4 cup low-fat plain yogurt, divided
2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce
pam
buns
tomato, olives, cheese, onion, jalapeno, pickles..whatever else you want on your burger.
Combine turkey and chopped watercress, 1/4 cup yogurt, 1 tsp black pepper, salt and worchestershire in bowl.
Divide into 4 patties.
Sprinkle each with salt and pepper
Prepare same as above, omitting the olive oil...just spray non-stick pan with pam over med-high heat.
Spread 2 tbs of remaining yogurt over each bun, add toppings and burger and eat!
I am not including nutrition content cause it depends on what kind of ground turkey you use, the buns and if you use low-fat or fat free yogurt...make sure its plain!
