Sweet Vids Brother

Thanks brother, there will be plenty more coming. I try to take 1 or 2 vids almost everytime I train. The reasoning isn't completely egotistical lol - 1) it's a great way to see my progress 2) they have dates so I can keep track of how fast or slow I'm progressing 3) watching my videos allows me to pinpoint my weaknesses and flaws in technique to correct in the future.

Let me explain first why I did this - I hadn't squatted with max weights for a few weeks (I spent a few days hospitalized) and just wanted to get some weight on my back I've never done before. So I hooked up some double bands to assist me out of the hole and a little at the top. This is 635 (maybe 645 that bar was a thick one) for a single. Judging by how easy it was I would say it was probably like 450 at the bottom and maybe 525 at the top - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oyh0gMvIoLg

ps. that is the buffalo bar which i really like a lot, and the reason i walk so funny is cause i put my knee wraps on so tight it almost cuts my legs off

^just set a new PR with a 230lb overhead log press, it was actually easy cause my technique is getting better. I would love to hit 250 soon.

455 + 80lbs chains deadlift off blocks. I've been doing a lot of lockout practice since that's where I've failed my last 2 deadlift attempts. Since this is 535 at the top I really feel I will hit 515 raw next time without hitching at the top. I've been busting my balls to correct my lockout weakness on deads. I got good speed and power from the floor, the top of the lift is my problem, but hopefully not for long.

Wow, thanks Big Byrd. One of the best squatters of all time. It's an honor. If you've ever heard of detroit barbell, that is where I train now. I'm lucky to have Zemmin there, he has helped me a ton. I've made more progress there in 3 months than in the last few years. In december when I first go back to training my total was under 1,000. Now my goal is to total 1,500 raw by the end of this year, all thanks to my great crew. I've learned so much from them and the powerlifters on the forum. My lifetime goal is to make the finals of the worlds strongest man. I'm 24 now and hope that within 6 or 7 years I will be competing in strongman full time. My main focus now is getting my bodyweight up, and at 5'10 I don't know if I can ever get over 250 which puts me at a huge disadvantage. But I'm now willing to make any sacrifice necessary to get there by age 32. If I'm not competing at world level strongman contests by age 32 then I believe it will about time to reconsider. I know I got a long way to go, but I'll be damned if I don't give it my all.

Yes he still does, he is still one of the biggest and strongest freaks I've met. His high rep day is doing close grip floor presses with over 600 lol

^here is my 230lb "apollon axle" video. It's not really an axle since the weights move on the barbell. I used to very thick bar to simulate it (the bar you can't even get your fingers around) and used the strongman "continental" clean and press.

I found out our log is only 90, not 110, so my PR which i believed was 230 was only 210, but i recently beat that with 225, would love to be over 250 very soon
