Nah, sometimes I will rep it 20 times. Just depends how I feel.

Many years ago, at my first money contest. I watched some Westside Lifters warm-up. I was blown away watching the speed of their lifts. Louie Simmons just told me that I need to work on it. And I did. The fast the speed, the easier the lift. Remember, I am wearing a shirt. I can go down and up very fast with 315, 405, and 500. Anything above that, I need to drop a little slower, so I do not get hurt.

Working with bands can really help with your speed, but only use bands every other week or once a month. Bands can really do a number on your joints. I am talking about bands tied to the bottom, not reverse.

Thanks bro... When you use bands what is your approach? What is the percentage and resistance you recommend? My max is 315 if that matters... What I have done when I used them is do 135 or 145 vs. Mini...

What you said about the speed makes sense, I read an article by Josh Bryant and he said that the faster you move the bar the less weak points you have because you move through them...

Thanks again Tiny...

There are so many different way to use bands. My approach is like all the rest of my training. Change, change, always keep changing. Don't keep doing the same thing. That is how your body will stay in shock and keep making gains. Remember, don't do them all the time. Bands work very hard on the joints.
