I figure it's about time to get a hotels thread going.

This is where the Chicago crew will be staying this year:

We've stayed here the past two years, and it's a great place. Price isn't bad either.

There are at least 4 or 5 other hotels at that exit, which is Hilliard-Rome Road off of I-70 (Exits 91 A & B). The drive from there to the expo center is roughly about 10-15 minutes, and parking is plentiful and relatively cheap downtown. Besides the hotels, there is a 24-hour Meijer and a big Wal-Mart at the exit, as well as about a dozen different fast-food places/chain restaurants.

Any hotels within a walking distance? I'm flying in from CT and hope to avoid a car rental. Plan to use taxis, shuttle, etc. if possible.

The ones within walking distance will probably be booked up. There is a shuttle though, here's a link to a map of the shuttle route:

Not sure about the ones on the shuttle route either, but chances are they're booked solid as well. I'd check it out though, you never know.

Staying across the street from the Expo at the Crowne Plaza. It was the only place I could book last March within walking distance, but should be damn convenient.

If you are still looking for a decent hotel that is close to all the action, check out the Knights Inn on West Broad St. in Columbus. It's about 2 miles away from everything and you can go straight down West Broad to get to a shuttle stop for the Arnold.

This is re-posted from the Arnold Sports Festival Facebook page:

"Hotels are sold out downtown but many others in the Columbus area are looking forward to welcoming you – from Dublin to Grove City to Westerville. Here is one that just lowered their rate to $79/night and added transportation to downtown."

I live off of 23 (N High Street) outside of Worthington. There is a Ramada and Motel 6 I believe near me. I can help w/ a ride if anyone needs one. I know the area pretty well. If you need me to check anything out let me know as well.
