ANT- Today we had DL's, started w/ rev hypers ss. w/ rope abs 3x20 and glute/hams ss. w/ landmines 3x10,Rev bnd sqt's off high bx, 1245lbs,5x1, Bnd DL's,double blk bnd plus 475lbs 5x1, blk pulls off 4-in blk 475 plus 200lbs of chain ,5x2, corner rows 250lbs ,leg curls, seated wide grip mach pull dwns, seated mach rows all 2x10, finished w/ rev hypers, rope abs, bx jumps, rk bnd jumps, med balls,sled pulls and tire flips,all x2,training went well, felt really good, will need to go wk to wk w/ training schedule due to class and football. It's all working out well for now though. Hvy bp's tomorrow.


ANNA- I arrived in Blacksburg V.a last night about 5pm. Throw the weight on Fri pm and shot on Sat. Throw Big,Throw Far!!!! Back in the WR on Mon.

ANNA-Did get a mark in the weight last night at the Va. Tech meet but wasn't sure what place she took.Form and rotations are getting there, just excited I marked.Only the 2nd time competing throwing the weight. ShotPut today at 3PM. The Slovockian throwers were awesome, Marcel, for Va Tech ,hit the wall w/ the weight,launched a bomb,met him last year when I visited Va Tech.

ANNA - Well no PR's at the Va Tech meet but I did mark in the weight.It was nice to get one in. Then in the shot, I threw ok but would've set PR'S in two throws but ended up fouling. Great progress in both though and hopfully will have it all together next week for Geneva, OH.

ANNA-We arrived in Geneva Oh. yesterday evening, throwing weight tonight and shot on Sat. I'm really pumped for this weekend. I feel a huge throw at this meet.

It's all working out well for now though,body weight at 238lbs,possibly a full 242er for Knoxville, Hvy bp's tomorrow.

ANT-today we are doing a DeLoad Sqt day,started w/ rev hypers ss. w/ rope abs and glute/hams ss. w/ landmines,Sqt-875lbs w/125lbs of chain, off 17.5-in bx,in brfs and suit,5x2,Rack DL's 475lbs plus 150lbs chain,brfs 5x2, step-ups and leg curls 2x10, finished w/ rev hypers, rope abs, bx jumps, rk bnd jumps, med balls, sled pulls and tire flips,all x2,we had football conditioning this am,running lifting and skills,we're going to try the Deload week this week and that will leave us one hvy week to wrap up our training for the SPF Ironman,deload BP's in shirt tom.

Ant-Update from the Ironman, wasn't able to get a squat in. Warm-ups went well but as soon as I put on the wraps,in my last warm-up, I started to go foward. Not sure why, but that threw me off for my attempts in the meet.We start on this Sat. football camp at WCU, that runs to the wkd of 4/21/12. Then I'll be back in the WR getting ready for the RPS meet in Paulsboro,NJ.Great meet, great venue, great people,was real glad I was able to make it, even though I didn't do that well.

ANNA'S MEET-Yesterday I competed at the Europa in Hartford Conn. Only had three weeks in gear to train but I felt really good. I squated 570LBS,BP-315lbs and DL-475lbs-TOT-1360. I gave 600 a ride in the squat but was called on dept and 325 in the BP but couldn't lock it out. PR'd in the BP-DL AND TOT. Well run meet by RPS and Gene and Amy Rychlak. ANNA-Well I'm here to update everyone on my training. It's been a while since my last entry and this was due to school, job, studying, throwing practice, weight training for track and powerlifting training. Very busy schedule.For the 2012 season in track and field at Auburn University,Indoor I FINISHED IN THE TOP 20 THROWERS IN THE sec IN THE SHOT AND THE WEIGHT, I finished 13th in the SEC in the shot and 19th in the hammer for outdoor.I also placed in the top 10 female throwers for Auburns all-time throwers in the shot and the hammer.We started training for the 2013 season in Sept. and our first indoor meet is mid Jan. and will keep you posted.
For the 2012 powerlifting season, this was short. Iwraped up track at the end of May and started training for the Europa in CT. during July. My lifts there were; SQT-570, BP-315, DL-475,TOT-1360. Then in Nov. I competed in Las Vegas at The WPC World Championships. I competed in Raw and Equipped, Raw-SQT-347, BP-192.5, DL469.5, Tot-1015, Tied for 1ST place in the Open, won the Teen Division,set World Records in in all the teen Divisions, and in the Open set World marks in the DL and tot. Also won best lifter in the Teen Division. Raw BP only, BP-198, won Teen Division and Best Lifter,Teen World Record and Open took Silver. In the Equipped Division, BP ONLY-292..5,Teen World mark, First Place and best Lifter in Teen Division, took Silver in the Open. Didn't have a good day in the Equipped Full Power and didn't get a squat in, blew out my briefs, not a good day.

ANTHONY-Well I just wrapped up my football season, moved to noseguard due to my strength and did well. Had 28 tackles, 6-tfl, 4-fumble recoveries, 6 sacks and 1 interception. Made 2nd Team ALL-PSAC. Now I started trainig for the RPS meet in Newark NJ. 1/26/13. And the RPS Coalation meet in Columbus OH. over 3/3-4 Wkd. Will be competing in a few more meets this year also.

Received results from Anna's opening Indoor meet in Birmingham Alabama.In the weight,she threw 14.51m-47.7ft placing 12th and in the shot,she threw 13.08m-42.9ft. placing 6th. The shot places Anna at #9 on the all-time Auburn Indoor shot put list. Great job kid!

Well for the second week in a row, the officiating crew at the indoor facility in birmingham for the throws were off 1.5 in measurements for the weight and shot. Again second week in a row. Anna's throws; shot 12.91 and hammer; 13.70. Next week it's off to nebraska, then back to birmingham and hopefully they can correct this. And,no, you didn't get to add the 1.5 meters to your throw. This wasn't found til the 2nd thrower in third attempts. Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well anna wasn't able to get into her custome metal jack gear due to her weight gain for throwing. So we called on johawk customs,out of delaware county pa., to see if we could get the gear fitted to ant. In less than 2 hrs briefs and suit fitted for ant! We'll be squatting in gear on tuesday!

ANNA-Well I'm here to update everyone on my training. It's been a while since my last entry and this was due to school, job, studying, throwing practice, weight training for track and powerlifting training. Very busy schedule.For the 2012 season in track and field at Auburn University,Indoor I FINISHED IN THE TOP 20 THROWERS IN THE sec IN THE SHOT AND THE WEIGHT, I finished 13th in the SEC in the shot and 19th in the hammer for outdoor.I also placed in the top 10 female throwers for Auburns all-time throwers in the shot and the hammer.We started training for the 2013 season in Sept. and our first indoor meet is mid Jan. and will keep you posted.

Had opener in the BP yesterday and smoked it. Had to have my shirt tighten up by Johawk customs due to seams cracking when doing opener. Shirt is tight and looks new . thanks Johawk customs for your last minute help. We drove over and it took about 30 mins. BOOOOOYAAAAAAA!!!!

Well not a good day at all on the platform at the rps meet in newark nj. Did not get neither a squat or bp in. Bottom line no excuses just results and that 's what will happen at the xpc meet on sunday 3/3 in columbus ohio.new jack gear felt great, shirt was tweaked and tore up my chest and lat. I was ready to go. We'll do some tweaking in the next 4 wks of training and i'm giving you a guarantee in columbus, bottom line "results!"

This week was a training week getting ready for the nebraska meet over the wkd of 2/2. Training has been going great, lifting raw, going awesome.great to be back in the indoor season with my team mates. They motivate the frotada out of me! Just a short note to keep everyone updated. Well i threw 2 indoor pr's at the indoor meet in nebraska. Threw 48'1 in the weight and 43'6.50 in the shot. The shot was #8 all-time indoor for auburn and the weight was 7th all-time. My teammate val threw 52.3 and set many records w/ that throw. What a great day! Back home on sunday and preparing for the sec's 2/23. War dam eagle!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great week of training down here in auburn ala. Thhrows are improving, getting ready for sec's in ark. This weekend we're just training, getting ready. Threw 48.05 last wkd in the weight, but fouled on two of the three throws. I'll be ready for sec's. I don't want to peak til that weekend and it looks like that is what is going to happen and i'm pumped! Raw lifting has been going great,i feel ral strong. We do more spd training in season, w/ some hvy too in the sqt and bp's. Coach not real big on deads but i think my dad is going to try and sell him on those.

Very, very impressed w/ the animal cage. People were 10 deep when we were there on sat. We wanted to thank animal for inviting anna into the cage, she had a blast speaking w/ the other athletes. Ant and anna would love to become a part of the animal team if that were all possible. If you are looking for new athletes, please keep us in mind. Anna still holds the all-time record in the teen division, raw dl w/ 470 at 19 and 198, puulled at wpc world vegas 2013, she has won the worlds for the wpc the past 3 yrs and best lifter also.. Age 15,181, all-time record eqp. Sqt record 575,age 17 all-time eqp bp 300. We had another tough day at the xpc expert open pl meet. Bombed in the sqt , bp-556 and dl-551. Took 3rd place in the bench bash on sunday and first place in the bp only and ironman. Trying to put together a 16-18 week cycle for a meet is impossible right now w/ football. Tried to train for the rps and this xpc meet 0n 4-5 week training cycles and that did not work. We're going to put competing on hold for a while til we can train for 13-16 week cycle and that will most likely be next december. It doesn't work for me to jam a cycle together for a meet. No excuses, but this is what i feel would benefit me as a player and as a lifter. We hate bombing but we're going to keep setting ourselves up for failure if we continue. We will also be setting up some new training cycles because as anna put it, "it's stail" dam i trained her well as a lifter and as a coach. Man when she said that to us , it sounded like me! Thank god she's prettier!


Anna had an awesome time in the cage on sat and sun. She said if we can this summer go to an expo where the cage is going to be and hopefully be train w/ the animal crew. We truly believe that you guys should have your own spot in the Cage. I just happen to be lucky because of being married to Bobby. We're off this weekend, wrapped up finals on tues and should be on honor role once again. Sophmore yr in the books academically in the books but for my throws we go to missouri 5/10 for outdoor sec championships and looking to thfow all pr's to advance. Training has been going great and i'm prepared. Looking to make my mark this time in the sec books and i'm ready to go.

Lifting has been going great! Focusing the next few weeks on my throws, then time to focus on nasa nat'ls in nevada! Im'm ready for anything and everything!

Anna competed at the rps europa at the conneiticut convention center in hartford conneiticut. In the squat she opened at 540 and that was all she hit. Struggled w/ going foward due to only being in gear for 3 weeks. Bp she hit 310 lbs, went 2/3 w/ the miss, an uneven extention due to shirt too tight on the left elbow which put her hand to sleep. Then in the dl it was on. Hit 460lbs and had a near miss at 480lbs. Totaled 1310. Great meet that was run by gene and amy rychlak, awesome job by spotters loaders and judges. Thanks to all who support team mccloskey!

Returning starter at nose guard on the defensive line ... second team All-PSAC East selection … thrust into the starting lineup three years ago as a red-shirt freshman due to injury and flourished ... thrust into a new position last spring and picked it up very quickly … filled a void at nose guard very well … a bit under-sized, but uses his quickness to his advantage ... has started every college football game for the Golden Rams over the last three years … very athletic ... flies to the football ... anticipates plays well ... possesses good instincts for the game … an all all-league candidate as well as all-region prospect ... coaching staff was very impressed at how quickly he picked up his new position ... has taken to the position very well ... anchors the middle of the defensive front ... sheds blockers and has a knack for getting to the ball carrier … reads plays well … can be a valuable asset in the pass rush … has 160 career tackles to his credit … second among active players on the roster … one of the top defensive players on the Golden Rams’ squad ... three-year letterwinner.

Competed in the rps pa state championships at the am vets post # 19, lancaster pa. Good day, warm-ups went well. It was when we tried my new metal jack shirt that we hit the first issue. The arms,at the elbows were still cutting off the circulation. We hit 455 2-brd, then 495 to 1- brd and i couldn't feel my rt hand. Changed back into my 7 yr old ace pro bencher.

Results:
Opener-540 good lift

2nd attempt-570 good lift

3rd- 590 miss at lock out

good day all in all. Minor issues but trained through them. Next back to full power!
