Hi guys, I recently posted a thread with questions about carb cycling, but it did not get as many responses as I was hoping for, and also I have switched things up since then...I have dropped about 7 pounds in 3 weeks, so it's working, but I have recently read things on the forvm that make me think It could be improved on. I am doing an endless cycle of high, medium, and zero carb days. Currently at 228 pounds down from 235. Bodyfat I'd say between 10-15, ab lines visible. I take 12g fish oil daily, 2g with each meal, Animal Pak with lunch, and Nitro before and after lifting, as well as a Dymatize Elite Whey with my breakfast and post workout. Guys who know a lot about carb cycling or have had success with it in the past please offer some input on this diet, and let me know what could be improved upon. My goal is to eventually be ready for a show at some point in my future.

High Carb Day (about 300g carbs):

Meal 1: 8 egg whites, 1.5 cups oats, 1 scoop whey with water, 1 small apple
Meal2: 8oz chicken, broccoli or green beans
Meal 3: 8oz chicken, 300g yams, 1 small apple, Animal Pak
Meal4: 2 cans (8oz) tuna, 300g yams, 1 small orange
Meal 5 (post workout): shake w/ 1.5 cups oats, 2 scoops whey, 1 small orange
Meal 6: 8oz chicken, green beans or broccoli

Medium Carb Day (about 150g carbs):

Meal 1: 8 egg whites, 1 cup oats, 1 scoop whey with water, 1 small apple
Meal 2:8oz chicken, broccoli or green beans
Meal 3: 8oz chicken, broccoli or green beans, Animal Pak
Meal 4: 2 cans tuna, 200g yams, 1 small orange
Meal 5: shake w/ 1 cup oats, 2 scoops whey, 2tbs natural PB, 1 small orange
Meal 6: 8oz chicken, broccoli or green beans

Zero Carb Day :
Meal 1: 9 egg whites, 1 scoop whey w/ water
Meal 2: 8oz chicken, broccoli or green beans
Meal 3: 8oz chicken, broccoli or green beans, Animal Pak
Meal 4: 2 cans tuna, broccoli or green beans
Meal 5: 2 scoops whey w/water, 2tbs natural PB
Meal 6: 8oz chicken, broccoli or green beans

1-2 gallons of water per day, also unlimited coke zero. Cardio 25 mins on training days and 30 mins on off days. I never take an off day on a high carb day, and alter my routine as necessary. Sometimes I'll throw a tiny bit of miracle whip in with my tuna, or a couple of slices of low fat cheese in with my egg whites. Thanks in advance for any input, Ant

Your best bet is to simply run it my man. See how your body does, and go from there. I have done carb cycling, and i know a few others have as well, but all of the results are different.

From what I've read so far, I think I should be adding a little more fat to my diet. Would it be wise to add say 2 whole eggs to my 8 egg whites in the morning, as well as maybe a serving of olive oil on my green veggies during one of my meals? I try to add no fat during high carb days, but on medium and low carb days - low carb especially - I feel like I need the extra calories.
