I didn't enjoy this article at all. Why is it peddling the fact that gear is the only reason people don't do full body workouts? It's ridiculous. 'before steroids invade the muscle building scene' this guys prejudice is hilarious.

Anyway, more in terms of training. Full body aint for me, but I'm interested to see how other guys feel and how it's helped them.

Full body low frequency(3 days a week) workouts are intense and very productive for gaining mass. For me mentally, I like to focus on no more than 2 bodyparts per session and ensure no muscles get half assed. Yes as a beginner your chest will grow from just doing 5x5 for bench press, but overtime the stimulus will require other ranges of motions to be utilized for optimal muscle hypertrophy.

So yes, it can be used for mass gaining, but we are talking about bodybuilding here, fully developed muscles are what we are after. Split training will ensure no muscles get half assed.

Good article though! Great for your beginners even intermediates!
