Sad to hear of the passing of Steve Michalik--a true innovator and a man who set the bar high for intensity, enthusiasm and attitude in the sport of bodybuilding.

He was no doubt a controversial figure, but the man was a pioneer. Rest in Power to Steve Michalik, a true iron warrior.

His legend lives on in these very early AnimalPak.com articles...

One way to honor Steve Michalik i think is that making a animal iconic T shirt with Michalik beating the living crap of death trying to get to him or something

I've read several articles about the man and his workouts are legendary. I could not have imagined trying to run one of those with him let alone keep it up for any long period of time.

Tragic loss to the BB community.

yeah, major probs with his heart from his competitive days... but i think the mental issues are what got him... because he shot himself in the head.. sad....
