Well since my stage time for the year is over, this is going to be a new thread all about my road to Redeption. this is going to be my one and only thread for off season and my upcoming contest preps. Right now im going to be preping for Jr USA's in 2013. This is going to be my off season and contest prep for future shows and everything going on with me so I can keep it all in one thread. I'll be on this beating path of redemption till I can get that all inclusive PRO CARD!! Hopefully in the next 3 years that can be reality.

So to get things started I'm taking this week off from weights to give my body a break. I still am doing 60 min cardio everyday to keep everything from getting to out of control. I'm also eating less Protien this week as I don't need it and giving my body a break from that as well. I started a 14 day cleanse to help detoxify my body so that when I start hitting it hard and heavy everything internal is working efficiently. One thing I'm going to try and do is add more fruits to my off season diet, something I hardly ever eat in the offseason. I also want to try to add some mill in, last year I didn't drink any dairy as dairy high in sugar. I supplemented my calcium. So this year I may try adding milk to my shakes to see how TK helps with adding size, or fat we will see. I will update all my diet info and training info in here an pics. If you were following my contest prep thread I flood it with pictures so same will happen here as I progress. Well hope you guy follow this wild ride, it's going to get FREAKY!! I will have my redemption next year or the next but it will happen mahahahahah

Ok so here is my first diet I'm gonna run. Now I may start adding things in here and there but this is about what it's gonna look like

meal 1- 2 cups liquid egg whites, 2 slice ezekeil bread and 1 whole grapefruit
meal 2- 8oz chicken and 1 cup dry measure white rice
meal 3- 8oz chicken and 8oz yam
meal 4- 50 grams whey 50grams Carbs from
Carboplus
Intra workout intra aid 10Grams Creatine (1 scoop carbo plus on leg back days)
Meal 6- Post workout Torrent +25 grams whey 20grams glutimine
meal 5- 10oz lean red meat and a cup greens with 8oz yam

So this will be my training split for the first 4-5 weeks. I'm going to be usin an FST-7 routine. I really like the FST-7 I think it really helps to build some good mass.

Mon Legs-
Squats- 4 sets of 6-8 reps
Hack squats- 4 sets of 8-10 reps
Leg press- 4 sets of 15 reps (narrow stance)
Lying ham curls- 6 sets of 1o-12 reps
FST-7= Leg extensions 7 sets of 15 reps

Tues Chest
Incline Barbell bench press- 3 sets of 10-12 reps
Incline dumbbell press- 4 sets of 8-10 reps
Incline dumbbell flys- 3 sets of 10-12 reps
Flat dumbbell press- 4 sets of 12-15 reps
FST-7= Pec deck 7 sets of 15 reps

Wens Back
Lat pull downs to the front- 4 sets of 12-15 reps
1 arm dumbbell rows 4 sets of 6-10 reps
Underhand barbell rows- 4 sets of 8-10 reps
behind the neck pulldowns 4 sets of 15 reps-
Fst-7 = stiff arm pulldowns 7 sets of 15 reps

Thursday off 45min cardio

Fri Shoulders
Cable side lateral raises- 5 sets of 15 reps
Dumbbell press 4 sets of 8-10 reps
Db side laterals- 3 sets of 10-12 reps
Bent over db laterals- 3 sets of 12-15 reps
Fst-7- machine press 7 sets of 15 reps

Sat Arms
Strait bar pushdowns- 3 sets of 12-15 reps
single arm reverse grip pushdowns- 4 sets of 15 reps
machine dips- 4 sets of 10-12 reps
Fst-7 = rope pushdowns 7 sets of 15 reps
Barbell curls- 4 sets of 8-10 reps
1 arm preacher curls- 3 sets of 8-10 reps
incline DB curls- 4 set of 15 reps
Fst-7= standing cable curls 7 sets of 15 repS

Sun traps/calve this day changes from week to week with how I feel and same with the exercises. If I need and off day I take this day if I feel good I train.

Also for now 45 min cardio everyday

No I'm deff doing a clean bulk off season. I would like to put on another 10-15 lbs of stage weight if possible. Considering I'm probably going to be a superheavyweight next year but I'm going to be on the low-end. I was just saying that technically I am prepping for 2013's Junior USA's. I'm just considering my off-season as part of the prep to get me ready Jr USA's

So last night I murdered my legs!! Holy shit am I in some pain today haha. It was the first time indid legs in about 4 weeks and I feel like I tore enough fibers for them to grow another inch. I woke up in the middle of the night at least 4 times with hamstring cramps that sucked, but as time goes by it will all be worth it next year standing on that stage again!! I have to uphold my name The Quad Freak!!

Rest day
so today was a much needed off day. from hammering legs for the first time in 4 weeks, then doing chest and pressing for the first time in about 12 weeks, then murdering my back on the 4th. My body feel like it was hit by a mack truck.

for reals though i love this shit!! When i wake up and im sore as hell i know i put in work and that mean im growing!! The reason if you were not following my prep thread as to why i havent pressed in 12 weeks is because i was having some serious tendinitis in my left elbow. so bad that 135 on the smith machine was hurting it pretty good. so i decided while im in prep and its not as important to press crazy weight ill take time off and let it heal so when the off season comes ill be able to hit it hard and heavy. And so far so good!!! remember like Ive said in the past you have to listen to your body, if its telling you to chill out do it or you will end up injured. Been there done that and that sucks!! ill be hammering some delts tomorrow lots of side laterals. i have to get these delts like cannon ballz!

Shoulder day

since training with Greg Long and doing some reps with 5 second pauses ive been incorporating these into my other routines. Its a very good intensity technique that ive never done before. My thoughts on anything that you have never done before will equal some type of growth, so ive been tearing it up.
Side lateral machine was what i used today for this
3 warm ups
3 working sets
2 sets of 5 reps then 5, 5 second pauses for a total of 10 reps
1 set of 20 reps

smith machine upright row
4 sets 12-15 supersetted with cable rear delt flys

smith machine military press
4 sets 30 reps each ended with 205 working my way back up and trying for 250 for 30 reps!!

rear delt fly machine
3 sets 20 reps

DB side laterals
3 sets 10-12

45 min cardio

great shoulder day i really need to get my delt much rounder so hoping that this side lateral work with make a HUGE diff this off season!!

thanks a lot brotha mean a lot to me!! as for food increase i don't increase anymore then my normal off season diet, witch if you go back to the front of this thread i have my whole diet outlined so you can see what im eating.

Hey brotha, saw your FB page, looking big, about size I want to be come one year from now. So in your diet, since you have carb plus and torrent with about 50 so grams carbs, how many carbs you taking in on diet? I am very carb sensitive in the case that I gain fat rather than muscle, Mexican haha, Its when I start lifting heavy weight I gain muscle and drop my carbs in diet. I see on there as well you have some good staks going now...whats your regimen looking like these days with all those goodies? Like Am supps, Noon supps, Pm supps, and pre/post workout supps? My biggest thing is not knowing when to take what.....and what to use with.....any advice on above would be awesome brotha.....thanks Vin....wanted to show how big i was but cant put pics in here, and do not have the FB deal either...

I do calves in their own day, so here is what I did!!!

Standing calve machine 5 sets till failure increasing weight each set 20+ reps

Leg press calves 4 sets till failure 15+ reps

like ive said before i always go to failure so some sets may be more reps and some less. I personally dont count reps too much because i never stop at a certain rep range just go till failure.

So yesterday we had a CT ABC at Powerhouse Gym New haven. It was a great time and lots of guys showed up!! i ended training with P Diesel and we hammered arms together. this was my first time meeting P and he was an awesome cat, treated me like hes known me for years overal awesome dude!! ok so saturday is usaully my cheat day, but since im trying to lean out for the Mr O i just added clean carbs in, as during the week ive been doing keto. so with that said

this week i skipped squats i like to skip them every once and a while for a few weeks so when i do them again it tears my legs up and i feel like that helps me to continue to grow!! #QuadFreak

well this is basically my pre intra and post supplementation

1-1.5 hour pre meal 8 oz chicken 1 cup white rice

30 min pre shock therapy mstack

intra 2 huge scoops of carbo plus 2-3 scoops atomic 7 1 scoop storm mixed wwith about 45 oz water. sip on it while training.

post 2 packs Nitro
cardio 30 min
shake 60 grams whey 1 scoop carbo plus 20g glutamine 5 grams creatine jelly sandwich

1-2 hours later 8 oz beef 2 whole eggs 1 cup white rice

thats basically my sups for around the workout and eating.

Well I need a lot more lower lats, that's been my main focus as of late. Lots of underhand rows, pulldowns, DB rows. I also would like a lot more thickness and width, thickness I feel comes more with time and muscle maturity. But word th I also trying to just go as wide on everything as I can and hope it helps flair my lats out more. I do t have and never will have a tiny waist, so I need huge lats and huge legs to make my waist look as small as possible!! I focus on contracting really hard each rep then just going super heavy. If I go too heavy I don't seem to feel the back muscles working as much. Thanks for the follow on here as well!!

Thanks for the reply! I kind of got caught up in the width game when I was younger and never did anything for my thickness. Here over the last 2 years, being deployed, I just was doing alot of deadlifting and I thickend up alot. I seen a pick of my back a couple months ago, and seen how much I thickened up, but my width looked narrow again. Although I was still doing width work, thickness really made it look like I was not as wide, I too have a bigger waist. Mine from breaking my back and surgery making me 2 inches shorter! So I have dropped the deads every week and will do them every 2-3 weeks. Got to get wide! lol! That rear lat spread pic makes your waist look tiny. If its not, your doing a good job of making it look like it!

Good words to follow here. I also have a thick waist so I try to focus on a big back, thick shoulders and big legs!! I like your idea of keeping everything wide.
