Greetings from Utah! I'm a Multi-ply Powerlifter who has been competing seriously for two years now. I've got a 2136 total @ 275 and a ton more in the tank. I'm training for the SPF Ironman Pro/Am for the second year in a row and will be keeping a log here in addition to the one I keep on my website. I appreciate the support and hope that my posts can benefit those whom are kind enough to follow along.

Best regards,

3A) Light Band Leg Curls 1x100

Today I started my post-meet accumulation block and I can't describe how good it felt to pull. The weight was very moderate but it got me excited mentally, and physically it was fun to start working form again. I will ramp slowly over the next six weeks. Also, I added a new training partner that has stuck with me through my recovery cycle and is starting his third week with me. Travis Bright is a beast, he has been out of the gym for many months now since retiring from football, and is still giving me a run for my money. Welcome my friend!! It's great to have you as a member of the crew!!

I felt great today! The bar moved fast on all my working sets and I had plenty of strength left in the tank. I have a Titan Ram ordered that will be here by next week. Looking forward to using it!!

Also, additional positive news...we are moving the SG to a new location this weekend and have a slightly new name!! The new space is 1000+ sq ft and will allow for quite a few more options in training. I have enjoyed my time at Josh's place immensely and will miss seeing my good buddy almost every day but it's time to make the next step. Thanks for everything my friend! Here's to the next chapter...

1A Dips 3x12 @ BW
2A Bent-Over Reverse-Grip EZ-Bar Row 3x12 to 405
3A Seated Military Press 3x12 to 225
4A Incline Dumbbell Curl 3x12 light

Wow!! Great day today, but this workout tired me out way more than I anticipated. I was pretty dehydrated though. Life has been insane crazy. Here's hoping it won't affect squats too badly tomorrow.

1A Squat 5 Chain 6x3 @ 366 + 5 Chains (68%)
2A Squat 3x10 @ 256 + 50 Chains (50%)
3A GHR w/ 45lb plate 3x10
4A Situps vs. Mini Band 3x10
5A Sled Drags this afternoon

I know the percentage is still very low but the bar continues to move fast and I feel strong in my legs even after all the reps. My abs are also feeling strong and my hope is that it will carry over into my squat and deadlift. I plan to place emphasis on my deadlift following this block as it is by far my weakest lift. Here's hoping to extra ab work will pay off.

We opened the SG's new location with a bang this morning! Even after a long weekend of moving and poor nutrition I put together a decent morning. By the third or fourth set of deadlifts the bar was moving well and I was sitting back nicely. My ramping (accumulation) cycle continues to go well! Thanks for the awesome morning fellas and more importantly thank you to each and every person that jumped in to help move this weekend and to prepare the place. I truly appreciate each one of you. Thank you to my beautiful wife and sweet mother in law for cleaning last night and for the awesome paint job! Thanks to my step father Kelly for picking up the extra mats and Ryan for unloading them. Thank you to all of you who showed up on Saturday to help move. Thanks to Travis and my dad for staying all day Saturday to help cut the mats in and to Russ and Tommy for running all the errands!! Everything went very smoothly because of you guys! Thanks to everyone!!

Today was my first day in the Ram and I really enjoyed it. There is just enough support to promote proper technique but I still felt like it was basically a raw training session. The bar moved quickly through all my working sets for sure!! Felt great today.
