Hey guys, want to start off by saying sorry i havent posted in the Forvm in weeks. Went through hurrican down in New Orleans in middle of training for this meet on top of nagging injuries that were driving me crazy. So once again im back and sorry I have posted in a while.
Here is how the meet went down. Started off at 217lbs on Monday the week of the meet, this weight cut was hard as shit but my goal was a total in the 198 class, so hit the scale friday at 197lbs (cut 20 in 5 days). Rehydrated and constantly eat and eat food till i was bloated. Day of the meet walked in the door at 9am back to 213lbs. Decided to open light on all lifts due to the weight cut and see how things went. Squats were walk out (knee sleeves only) i opened with 510-killed it, went 550-not smoothest out of groove, so decided to go 565 PR-smooked it (literally looked like opener, left alot on platform). Next was bench (my favorite lift) opened light with 455-easy, 475-easy, last decided on 485 (full meet PR) to add to my goal for a total- again had more in me. Going into deads i knew i needed 650 to hit 1700 and that was my goal for the meet. Opened 600-easy, 650 PR-form was off still killed it, last attempt went 660 PR-this was again wasent bad and possibly had more. So ended the day 9 for 9 with 1710lb raw total @197 and won $$ for best bench press by coef. My total ranks me #2 in Nation on current PL watch rankings and #5 in Nation in PL watch Best of the Best since 2007 rankings. Im happy but not close to done yet, my goal is 1800 in 2013, and i won't stop till i get it!! I will post the vids of bench and deadlift but im still wating on the person that took vid of my squat to send it my way. Promiss is a deep easy squat not trying to hid vid, just don't have it. Im doing Kings of Bench in Vegas Oct 20th plan on benching at 210-215lb bodyweight and going for 500-510!
