Posted a squat PR a few weeks back...putting up a new Deadlift PR from yesterday. Hit 500x15, no belt but used straps. All stop and start reps.

ur a big strong fella, were u shootin for 15 from the start. cuz looks to me u had 18 in ya. also why the straps bro? im curious like C asked, u know ur max?

Not sure on my max...believe it or not I have never pulled anything over 545 and that was on a diet awhile back and did it for 5 reps stop and start. I would hate to approximate because those calculations are not worth a shit.

P Diesel - I have freakishly small hands (if I was training for a PL meet I would not use straps, but since I knew I was going for high reps I used them as I can't hold onto 500 for that many reps without). I was actually aiming for 10-12 reps but knew once I hit 10 that I could get 15, 18.....I don't know about that :)

Btw, P Diesel...we trained together back at Frenchie's over the Summer for the Brooklyn ABC. I was doing deficit deads then and squatted at the end of the workout.

Haha, they aren't THAT bad lol. But yea when I decide to do a meet I'll certainly train my grip more. But for now and bodybuilding purposes, straps can do the job. I pull over/under when not using straps.
