My name is Austin Rowe and Im a powerlifter. I LOVE it. I am 18 a senior in high school and so far I have done some decent stuff. Around my area there are some high schools that have powerlifting meets the Squat is parallel, Bench is with no pause, and Deadlift is well deadlift . The squat is with wraps and single ply suit also deadlift no bench shirts. The Weight classes were in a 10lb difference from 115- 255.I competed in three high school meets last year they were a Push and Pull Meet in which I placed 3rd but had top deadlift Bench 240, Deadlift 440. The next meet was a Regional Meet in which I won and had top Squat. Bench was 250 Squat 575(New Regional Record) Deadlift 440. Then was on to the State meet at Kenton, Ohio. I won and also had top Squat. Bench 240, Squat 565, Deadlift 490 all of these were in a 175lb weight class. Then I had football and am now just for powerlifting. I had my 1st Ameteur meet in the RPS federation just recently in New Jersey My lifts were with commands and a bench pause. I was in the Raw Modern, 18-19, Ametaur, 181lb class. My lifts were a 240 bench with a pause, a 540 squat with just knee wraps, and a raw 505 deadlift. My squat beat the previous world record by 135 lbs, my deadlift beat it by 5, and my total by 90lbs. I will have that video for that meet coming up soon. I am now preparing for Regionals and State once again. I will tell you my numbers after those meets happen.

What's up brother. Checked out and subscribed to your vids! You have a strong base to start with. Keep your training and diet and check and you will have great things coming your way. Also, from going over your videos; remember sanctioned meets are going to be run entirely different. Judged harder as well. If you need anything hit me up!

Thank You very much man! From what I learned in the RPS Meet they are run very very different. For right now Im practicing for these last few Highschool meets I have left. Then after all that I will be training with the full calls as in most meets. Tomorrow I have a highschool meet at Piketon, Ohio. To just see how things go. Out of curiosity whats a good alternative for rice?

Pasta. Lots of pasta. Throw on all the cheeses & sauce your heart desires as well.

I love pasta!!! I could get used to that instead of rice. The rice has gotten old fast.

Only rice I can handle is the rice sides. Mmm broccoli & cheese.

Dig this..

1 pound lean ground beef (cooked)
4 cups cooked white rice (instant)
1-2 cans of Campbell's cheddar cheese ( you can find it by the soups)
1 can of green beans

Mix it all together & divide it for 2-3 meals. Phenomenal!

That sounds amazing! I will have to get this one recipe my friend uses that's pretty damn good too. I will for sure have to try yours!

Yesterday was the high school regional meet. I won overall, had top squat, top deadlift and broke the regional squat, deadlift, and total records. I had a 275 bench, 610 squat, and a 510 deadlift. I totaled 1395. After the meet a 13 year old boy came up to me and shook my hand. He told me i was a inspiration and i was just awesome. He told me congrats on my records. It made me feel good. I never thought I could inspire someone it ment alot to me.

2 weeks ago was my Highschool State Powerlifting Championship. I was in the 185 weight class at 181.4. On bench I only had my opener at 250 with no pause Bench wasnt there for me that day I was then place at 11th out of 20. Then we went to me element the Squat even better I only had to go parallel. The state record was 605 I opened with 610, It was easy. I then went on to a 635 squat i made a error and wond up setting one side of the weight on the safety rack by mistake I still completed the lift. I then went for 675 by this time I had a crowd all around me I was so pumped up I then got that lift as well. I was going to be done there but my friends convinced me to go for my goal of 700 just to try it. I had my 4th lift and went for it. I then completed that Squat but the 675 went for my total for them 4th lifts are for records purposes only. By this time I was winning 1st place 2nd place squat to me was 560. I then went to deadlift and only pulled my opener of 490 I was gone after my squats. 1415 Total 2nd place was 1320. I am now a 2 time state champ and had top squat 2 years in a row. I also had the highest squat in the building and placed 3rd in the building
