I was given the chance to log Animal ATP Project Stak by Interning in the Cage. So pumped about this. I originally signed up in the thread to try and win, but out of no where was given the opportunity in the Cage. Currently I am dual training. I am doing the Tough Mudder in May with Nix so I am increasing my endurance through cardio (lots of running, which is something I have always sucked at and hated) and faster paced workouts. The second is to continue to build strength since that is always my goal as well as needing it to crush the obstacles during the Mudder. This is a completely new challenge for me and constantly look for different ways to push myself. I am expecting Project Stak to help me greatly in the strength category.

My plan is to take Project Stak 20 - 30 minutes before my workouts and right before bed on an empty stomach on off days. This is how I take the original Stak so I want to do a true comparison. Also I love the deep sleep and anabolic nature of taking this right before bed.

So here we go...

Comments
- World Gym
- Working on keeping my button down and my new form where my feet are flat on the floor. I find I have a ton more leg drive this way but seem to be pushing myself backwards where I start to slide on the bench and lose my arch. This is what happened on the 215 and 235. First rep felt solid and before the 2nd rep I was no where near in the right position so I shut it down.
- This was a short workout because of working late, but damage was definitely done.
- Project Stak was taken 20-30 min before the workout

- Between the deficit and the fact that I haven't been doing deads, these were a bitch but got it done
- Shut it down on the snatch grip on the last set because I started to feel it on my disc. No sense hurting myself
- Project Stak taken 30 min before workout. Going to increase that to 45 minutes next workout.

Nice work...!!! Except for that running thing... I don't understand that concept of running... It's bad for your health... It makes you short of breath, you sweat profusely, it hurts... Almost the same symptoms of a heart attack...

So you take it right before bed and then again in the AM? Wouldn't you want to take it around the same time every day?

Gotta do what I gotta do to be able to conquer the Mudder.

No I work out in the evenings.

I'm following your example anyway. Off day Project Stak will be about 10:00 PM. Training days about 09:30. Like J-Dawg said in my log, it makes sense for recovery to take it at night on the off days.

- Everything clicked on the last set of floor presses. Felt solid as a rock every rep
- It felt good to have a plan going in. I felt I got a lot more accomplished. Triceps are fried.
- Project Stak was taken 30 - 35 min before working out
- Loving the endurance that this new formula is giving me. Wish I could run 2 cans back to back then follow it up with M-Stak and really go for the gold.

Love the floor presses and close grip bench--building the tri's for a bigger bench!

This is seriously the way to go if you ask me. I wake up feeling great and when is the least anabolic time of the day when I could use help...night time.

Yeah, stole this from the Cube method. Might have to get on a modified version where I focus on squat form and protect my back.

I find I have a ton more leg drive this way but seem to be pushing myself backwards where I start to slide on the bench and lose my arch.

Place your feet as far back as you can with them still flat on the floor. I usually start my position 'on the toes', curled all the way under me and them slowly inch them out to where they're just barely flat. This helps against the 'pushing backwards' issue. Remember, if your bench setup is uncomfortable, then you're doing it right.

Yeah they are awesome. Nothing like getting a forearm workout while working out something else.

I am going to start doing this as I saw from Lilly's recent Bench 101 video. I want enough surface of my foot on the ground to be able to really drive the heels down and keep my hip above my knee. Uncomfortable is the goal, sharp pain in the lower back from the bulging disc...not so much. So I will need to play a little to find the best position. The disc actually forced me to change and now I see what true leg drive is because I know I had minimal.

- Deads are coming back. I am paying a lot more attention this go round on forcing my core into position and using legs. It is a step back as far as the weights but once I get this they will increase quickly and should surpass my old numbers
- Project Stak was taken 30 min pre-workout. Loving this stuff.

- Dominate Your Game, Las Vegas
- After the cab ride from hell I finally made it and met rev8ball at his gym. It is one bad ass place. I have never been to an MMA gym before so that was pretty cool to watch in between sets. The DYG is pretty damn awesome and has all top notch equipment. I can see why Spoto and Efferding train here. I didn't get to see them there but chatted with rev8ball about them.
- I highly suggest checking this place out if anyone is in Vegas.
