Over the weekend I was in Pittsburgh for the day and wanted to get a workout. I found the Gold's Gym Downtown. I haven't been in a Gold's in many years. Not only did they think it was acceptable to ask $25 for a one day pass. But the waste of skin behind the counter acted like I should be ashamed of myself for asking her to put her crossword book down and answer my questions. I tried to look around while my girl looked at there minimal selection of overpriced clothing but I was quickly reprimanded and told I wasn't allowed to look around. Maybe she thought I was gonna put the leg press machine in my gym bag and carry it off. I get that she was probably doing what she was told to do. But she didn't have to go the extra mile to be completely rude. I miss the days when gym owners actually wanted out of towners to workout at there gym. Just wondering if it's like this everywhere????????????

I completely agree and don't think it's just the fitness industry.
I think it's service in general.
On Saturday morning, my family and i went to a new diner about ten minutes from my house.
My wife had to be at work in about 2 hours.
At 40 minutes, we started asking about our food.
At 45 we were told that items my kids had ordered were out.
At an hour, 3 tables that came in after us got their food.(including items that we were told were no longer available.
When we said that we were going to just pay for our beverages and leave, miraculously our food was ready to be plated.
We stated that my wife no longer had time to eat breakfast due to her having to go to work.
10 minutes later someone met us at the check out counter.
No apology and no comping of drinks.
I couldn't believe it. My wife went to work starting her morning like that with nothing but protein in her belly and thoughts of choking a waitress.
