Does anyone who competes use these liquid egg whites during their prep? I recently purchased some from egg white international....they say I can drink them and you cant even taste em. Are these type of egg whites the same quality as the kind found in the store?

Awesome stuff... They are pasteurized so you don't have to cook them. I've never bought them from EWI or Lana's but have used the kind that come in the 16 and 32 oz. containers in the supermarket. You can utilze them much as you would a plate of cooked egg whites in your diet. As afr as drinking them straight up, I have done so many times and while I can get them down, don't expect them to taste great (imagine salty skim milk)... Be sure to have a nicely flavored beverage on hand. Peace, G

You talkin about EggBeaters? Thats only eggwhites i've seen in a container.
If there is something else i'd like to know what its called.
I used Int. Egg Whites for 6 months. They really have no taste. Mix it with Whey protein, water and it is hard to tell you got a Cup of eggs whites. I used a soup ladle that was exactly a cup. Even the chalazae breaks up in a shaker.
*Definition: “… (called the chalazae), which form rope-like strands that anchor the yolk in the thick egg white. There are two chalazae anchoring each yolk, on opposite ends of the egg.”
The downside is shipping (for me) which makes it twice the price of normal eggs.

i have priced those egg whites versus buying a case of 180 eggs at a time and it seems way to expensive in comparison.
what do you guys think?

I opted for the powered kind because it prices out about the same as normal eggs here even if I include shipping.

I am not a fan of the egg white in the container. If you cook them they just don't taste the same to me. Egg whites get old quick enough as it is, I switch back and forth to real egg whites. Or do half container egg whites and half real egg whites to get a better cook consistancy.

egg whites int? just bought a gallon a couple weeks ago and don't regret it. i drink em every morning w/ milk or juice. I work out in the mornings and always get a meal in beforehand, the egg whites int are perfect. It turns a heavy meal into a light one just when you need it.

I've used them for years; eating, drinking, in a shake (1/2 water, 1/2 egg whites). I get them in cartons at the grocery store. "All Whites" made by Papetti Foods--that's just what my store sells but I've found them better than Egg Beaters and other egg substitutes.
I use them all the way up to a few days out from a show then cut them because of the salt content. I find they definitely get me harder when I add them to a whey protein shake rather then just the whey alone.

I've used Lana's. They are very convienent because you don't have to cook them, you can just drink em

egg whites int is what i use. expensive but VERY convenient. Lana also has egg whites but they are a little more expensive last time i checked. one thing about Lana though, i had a question about her product when i first did some research and posted a question on her site. she actually called me later that day to answer that question. Unfortunately she doesnt pay my bills so i went with INT, sorry Lana.

Just curious how they are shipped and remain unspoiled.
I have always just cracked eggs and that does the job but this summer i will be working to damn early to crack 10 eggs each day.
Sorry for somewhat of a silly question but i was unsure.

go to google and look up eggology. its like a jug of eggwhites and they can ship to ur house. most grocery stores carry them but shippig to ur house is convenient. Ronnie uses them too, thats where i got the idea. try it out

hard boil them the night before,keep an ice pack in you lunch box then just peel and eat em,toss the yolk.

so let me get this right you have time to cook eggs in the morning but not enough time to crack em, shit takes me all of a minute to crack 10 and remove the yolk.

although i do technically buy in bulk and get 18 eggs for 2.15 i did the math and it costs double to get the whites, and thats not counting shipping n handling.
So yeah i think ill stay cracking my own eggs.

im guessing this was directed to me, if you goto the eggology website, they tell you how many eggs come per container, the largest being 164 eggs for i think it was 38 something. anyways thats double what i pay and crack my own.
i've told a few people this - it worked for me.
find a baker's supply shop in your city (it'll take a while, but its worth it).
they'll stock pasteurized egg whites for dirt cheap: i get mine for about $35 for 5 gallons ($35 canadian that is).
finding a place to keep 5 gallons of egg whites? when you figure that out, let a brother in on it would you?

Not to jack anyones thread but I feel its relevant. Does anyone else get horrible bloating/ frequent nasty trips to the bathroom when drinking egg whites even if they are pasturized. And if so has anyone found a way to remedy it?

The reason I believe is that Egg protein is very high in Sulfer, especially egg white..... I would say drink more water to help wash out the sulfer from your tank....
throw some sugar free choc syrup in the egg whites before drinking and shake em up, helps a bit
Liquid Whites are great to drink in shakes, well they are great for convienience but nothing beats real eggs in taste. I just switched back to real eggs and have re-discovered their greatness and diversity that just wasnt there with the cartoned whites.
Good option for liquid whites is at costco. 6, 1 pint containers for like 7 bucks. It is actually cheaper than buying a gross of eggs, I think. haha

I solely use liquid egg whites (as opposed to hard-boiled, etc) when cutting for my competitions. It's so much easier to pour 12oz into a shaker than cook, peel, store, & eat 10 hard-boiled whites. I've used all diff. brands, Lana's were good, but for me it was easier to just go to the grocery store.

i love egg white international egg whites. i buy them in the 4-pack box. i have the pump that pumps out 1oz at a time so i usually put 8 pumps in a large cup, put same amount of water, add 2 scoops of protein, mix, and drink. as someone stated earlier, they are odorless and tasteless. they also have the consistency of whole milk. my wife uses them to make pancakes similar to the g diesel pancakes. i, personally, don't get the bloat that some of you have experienced. some people have stated that the pasturized egg whites might be too expensive. well, hear me out here. pasturized egg whites have a bio-availability of 100%. with regular eggs, you have to cook the egg whites to remove salmonella and deactivate avidin which tends to denature the protein. also, you throw the yolks away. when you take all that into account, wouldn't the price gap be significantly reduced? just a thought.

My buddy bought cheap liquid egg whites at wal-mart. I didn't check out the ingredients or nutrition facts. Do you guys think they could be as reliable as leading brands such as egg whites international?

tasteless.....make sure you have a good mixer/blender though....i usually mix them in water(because of keto) but they taste great in milk

In the UK health food shops they sell eggnation, which are medium eggs and do work out expensive compared to buying eggs and separatin them yourself

Try Trader Joes' 100% Egg Whites. Its $1.99 for a 16 OZ carton. I think at your regular grocery store its more than twice the amount, price wise.
A strength and conditioning coach I know who trains competitive bodybuilders told me egg beaters and liquad egg whites arnt good as the protein value decreased apparantly, what do you guys think?

The debate on bioavailability is exactly that, debatable. I have heard both, that the liquid aren't as bioavailable but also that they are more so. At our level, it does not really make a difference. Eat & grow, simple. I mean really, is that extra gram of protein being absorbed going to make or break you as a bodybuilder?
