Anyone train/live in the city or know of any decent gyms in Manhattan?
I've been looking at Steel Gym on 23rd, but would like to hear suggestions/recommendations.

i train at a gold's in brooklyn, i dont think there are any great gyms in either NYC or Brooklyn.

As far as proximity goes, Steel gym is a solid bet. Good atmosphere, dumbells up to 180 or 200 i believe. They got some hardware done the last time I was there, HS equipment, etc.
If you are in brooklyn at all, or for anyone else, Id also check out coliseum. All old school stuff, olympic plates and platforms, db's to 200, etc.
Old news now, but shame about 5th ave....
