Squats: 400lbs + 120lb chains

I'm thinking of getting rid of the box the next couple of weeks to see if that will help build my speed out of the hole, do we think this'll help?

Have been watching you and your brother for the past 7 years or so, and thru the coaching of your Father, both of you have become incredible lifters! We have never been fans of "Box Squatting", as it never worked for us. However, if your Father recommended for you to do them, I would NOT doubt his judgment on what works best for you! Best of luck with your training, your family is AWESOME!!!

Thank you Ernie! That means a lot. I'm going to talk it over with my dad/coach and see what he thinks. Your family is incredibly (freakishly) strong as well, so that means so much coming from you! You have done such an awesome job with Eric and Ernie!

i heard the great Anna McCloskey was on teh forvm, had to see it with my own eyes. its nice to have sumone else on here that trains where i do, even if its jsut for part of the year.

Trainin my absolute weakest point of the deadlift, beginning right at the knee. Somehow its just a lot harder for me to do in my briefs so I decided to wear em. Felt decently smooth, now to only get to lockin out like 570-580lbs...

Figured I'd go for reps again to see where i'm at compared to last spring. Didn't feel 100% but I still pr'd with 2 reps so I'll take it.

I've had the same weak point on my dead for years now. I've been working a lot on sitting back and keeping my head and neck in a more neutral position with my spine and it seems to be working.

Thanks for the feed back, that's something I need to work on, I like those que's though, sitting back will definitely help me!

This was and exciting training session for me! Finally some solid, consistent progress! Hit multiple sets with 420lbs then worked to 470 for a couple sets, and it felt really good :) and get this, my knees are actually staying out. who knew.

Finally a bench session that started to go well! First session bringing it to my chest and it flew off, so I'm happy... PROGRESS. Now to work the lockout :)

245 to a 3 board for 4, this was my last set. Weak point at its finest, hopefully after a while doing this my bench will no longer suck so bad!
