I am brand new to the forum as I didn't really know it existed until I saw my friend Jordans status about being sponsored! Came on here to check it out and after seeing some of the monster lifters that post here decided to make a journal.

I'm a strongman from the UK who competes in the 198lb class and will next year be moving up to the 231lb class.

My best gym lifts are a 755lb deadlift(with suit and straps) a 533 squat and 264 x 2 log press.

I competed in 2 198 comps this year. Wales Strongest Man which I won and Olympic Dragons 5(premier 198 comp in the UK outside of nationals) where I came 2nd and broke the British Strongman Deadlift record. I also competed in a number of open comps just for the experience!

I should be competing in both Britains and Europes strongest man this month but I had to pull out after having surgery on a broken toe about a month ago.

Goals for the rest of the year and 2014 are to just put on some mass, improve my overhead and just gain as much experience as I can. Oh and to pull 800lbs :D

Just went in for a quick session tonight to do a lift for a comp I saw on bb.com to win some supps.
First time pulling heavy strapless in years and it felt weird as hell.

In future unless stated all deadlifts are with a belt and straps.

Deadlift
Worked up to
677 x 1 strapless
Quite hard but I have pulled 3 times within the last week so to be expected. Grip felt fine.
572 x 4 just an easy few reps so I actually felt like I had done something before going home.

Today was supposed to be a rest day so I just did this and left!

As I still can't squat because of the toe most of my sessions right now will be push/pulls of some kind.

Those guys on the right doing the Cable flys need to go jump off a bridge...did they just have 1 plate on those reps while you are banging out those heavy deadlifts?

Forgot to chalk so the straps were slipping and stiffer bar than I am used to(was a texas power bar) but still a good set!

Then wanted to mimic a silver dollar, should have used a bendier bar than a texas power bar but the oly bar was locked up.
