I have been lifting on and off since 12. Life had always presented its road blocks to consistency and now at 30 I promised myself to take of myself. It's been a full and consistent 1.5 years I have lifted. In that time I have made tremendous gains in strength and size. If I say so myself. To day I decide to do ssomething different. Too give my lifting and strength a purpose. I have decide to begin a powerlifting routine. Didn't know where to start so I pull something out of Dan greens training log. These were my results:
Squat
135 x 8
185x 6
225x3
245x2
265x1
Belt on
275x1
280x1 (couldn't tell I went all the away down. Def lower than ever at that weight)
245x5x1(got to lightheaded)
225x5x4
Front squat
135x5x2 ( can definitely go up)

Tomorrow chest. Let's see. How it goes.

In the routine I am doing today is an off day. You can use it as a body building day to work on areas you lack in. To be quiet honest I just wanted to lay in bed. My legs are still toast from legs on Friday. Chest shoulders and tris soar from bench yesterday. I just knew I had to get my upper back in if I want to stay strong on my deadlifting. I mustered up the energy to go to the gym. I stuck to basic volume training 6-8 reps, te real weight I don't know as te bar was slightly shorter than the normal bar.

Reverse grip barbell row
45 plates for 10
45+25plate for 8
45 +25+10 for 8
45+25+10+5 for 6x4

One arm dumbbell row.

100 for 8x3
100 for 6x2

Then I went home. I hope my legs are better by tomorrow as it is deadlift day. Fingers crossed.

Thanks to some life stuff I was up a lot earlier and got to te gym before work. Body wasn't fully recovered from the abuse I already gave but good enough to get a good lifting session in.

135x5
185x5
225x2
275x1
315x1
325x1x2

Deficit deadlift( on 45 plate)
225x5
245x5
275x5

Sumo deadlift (legs were toast)
135x6
155x6

I repeated chest and a Squats Tuesday and Wednesday. Nothing special those day. Did the same weight as earlier in the week.

Yesterday was chest and can say I was happy with the outcome. I attempted 275 for 2. Got 1 and 4"3/4 of the second in touch and go. Got 280 for one in touch and go. 20lbs hitting 300lbs. Pause bench I went from 225 to 245. I did 5x5 usin the 245 completed 2.5 sets with it. A big improvement. Finished it wth 225. Today is squats let's see how I do.

Wish every a happy and safe day.[/QUOTE]
