That was an awesome article. When you did 33 reps, I was like "well, this is going to fucking suck!".

I agree with everything you said in that article though, from being run down from the weekend, lack of preparation, having a chance to prove yourself, and the adrenaline. It was definitely an amazing feeling that day. It was great meeting you and sharing the experience!

Awesome to meet you too, bro! A lot of people asked the one question when I told them about it: What do you get if you win? I said "A handshake, a high five, and a Cage full of people telling you that you did a good job. You'd get that if you lost too because it wasn't about winning or losing. It never was. It was about having fun, supporting one another, bonding, displaying some good lifts and overall representing what the sport should be about(and often forgot): brotherhood"

It was def an epic battle, pretty sure Jordan almost passed out. Pros vs Bros is always one of my favorite events.

Jordan was blue when he came up on that last rep. I was like "please don't collapse. please don't collapse"

Yeah, I didn't feel like I was going to until I racked the bar and tried to walk away. Seath had to catch me! Physically...I felt done at around rep 16...so almost passing out is probably the truth haha

Awesome article G-Six. I didn't have the opportunity to make it to The Cage this year because my wife and I had our first child on that Sunday. However, for being a fan and supporter of Animal/Universal since I was in college last year was my first chance to go to The Cage. I attended the ABC event. The emotion you expressed in your article is spot on with how I felt at the ABC event and the Sunday in The Cage. Brotherhood and family gets tossed around a lot, but it is the truth. I may not be the biggest or the strongest guy in each gym, but I bust my tail off to get where I want to be. At the ABC event last year I had the opportunity to speak with Josh Landry and Josh Holliday. They treated me like I anyone else. I was so grateful because these two guys with Universal I knew train their butts off. Then Sunday in The Cage, I didn't move. I stayed there all day and had the chance to speak with Big Al and P-Diesel. These two awesome guys I have had the chance to train with in Allentown when ABC events are at Universal Gym. Down to earth guys who it doesn't have to be all about how much you lift, but talk about life in general. I told myself that Sunday that one year I will be competing in the Pros VS Bros event. At the end when Naturalguy and G-Diesel took the mic to thank the fans and handed out cans of Pak, it was icing on the cake and I walked about from last years event a bigger supporter than I was before. Keep killin G-Six, your time is coming....
