After a big dinner, I'll have oatmeal and a final large protein shake..

The best meal would be casein protein, because it's slow digesting and healthy fats to slow down digestion even more. Something like cottage cheese + nuts would be good.

Casein protein w/Udo's Perfected Oil Blend is what I take right before bed. It allows you stay anabolic and avoid the ever-fearful catabolism.

This works the best and is used by most professional bodybuilders. But you Do Not want a lot of calories before bed, or you will be spending more time doing cardio to get rid of the fat!

Depends what your goals are, to get cut-shredded, a meal with moderate protein and zero carbs (lean meat-veggies, egg whites/spinach or a protein shake) to get thick and freaky big...JUST EAT ~! But good quality food, I like lean 93% ground beef/rice/onions/mushrooms...sometimes I mix 1 cup of oats with 75 grams of whey protein and water...eat it like soup!

I like oatmeal, then a few minutes later real gains w/ 16 oz whole milk. I used to take zma, GABA then wait 30 mins for my shake.

G Diesel--- arent you supposed to take zma without any calcium in your stomach and wait 30 mins before taking anything with calcium??

I take ZMA an hour before bed. Just when I'm about to crawl into my bed. I take a slow digesting protien shake, glutamine and flax seed oil. Sometimes some peanut butter

Right now, I'm having some slices of roast beef, oats, and casein in skim milk. I can handle a pretty large meal even immediately before bed.

I take the following...

25% Aussie Caseinate
25% Soy Isolate
25% CFM Whey Isolate
25% Milk Isolate

This is all combined in a formula. I also add Udo's Perfected Oil Blend to slow the digestion even more and avoid beind catabolic.

This sounds strangely familiar to a shake I used to make in college. I drank it before bed and made one for my roommate but it didn't sit too well in his gut! He said he could feel the oats expanding in his stomach or something. I thought it was pretty good...

I believe I was on the receiving end of that shake... I must give credit where it is due. You are leaving out the wheat germ, orange juice and God knows what else went into that bad boy. Haha. Peace, G

Yo I needed some in-sight as to what should be consumed right before going to bed, Obviously Something with slow digesting proteins, Ive been trying diary products like milk and low fat cottage cheese.
