WELL, this being my first recorded journey I should probably give a bit of a bio. My name is Mitch, I just turned 20. I am currently at a steady 243lbs, and loving it. I'm sitting at a 1340 total and want to up it 1500 before I enter into my first meet. I have a 325 bench, 450 squat and 565 dead lift.
I just ran the first section of my first sheiko program and I feel strong.
Work sets today:
Squats:
6x3 @360
** went to 370 for 4 on my last set because why not**
Bench:
2x3 @ 270
3x2 @285
1x3 @285
1x3 @ 315
** Last set was a rep PR, all reps were paused**
I've always had a problem with paused reps so I lowered my working max for Sheiko 29 and paused everything.
I'm going to rest for the weekend and make my next week a deload/PR week to reset my training maxes before I run Sheiko 37.

Awesome, make sure to let me know how the meet goes! I'm pretty new to all the different programs and I know there's a certain way to run the sheiko programs but i've heard different things. How did you run them?

I run them as is, compared to alot of people who recommend you to scale back 5 to 10% of the 1rm. At the moment i am on 30, week 1. i ve just completed 29 and 37. i´ve increased 5lbs on my maxes every 4 weeks (time will tell if this was a good move...).
Ive done 29 in the past, but i find hte benching and deadlifting to be easy, and hte squats to be somewhat challenging. however the sessions are bloody long!

Set a new bench PR today at 350lbs paused. My pause could have been better, but it came up pretty fast. Extremely happy, this is up from 325 touch and go! I just about hit 360 afterwards but hit the sticking point.
Did 4x2 weighted dips afterwards with 115 around my waist. Trying to get up to 3 plate dips.
Workouts this week will be pretty short as I am "de-loading" before I run Sheiko 37 next week.
