Blood and Iron.
After my senior season ended with an injury, I was content with leaving football forever. I didn’t like it, but what could I do, due to being out of school so long for so many times my grades were horrible and I had no other option but going to Community College, one that doesn’t even have a football team. But now I have been given another chance, northwestern university and University of Michigan ann arbor have both reached out to me to inform me that if I maintain above a 3.8 gpa in CC for a year and a half, I will be accepted with open arms. Now not only do I have a chance to go to a top 20 school, I also have a chance to walk on a D1 A program. I am not about to let it pass.
Training:
In season I was 250 pounds at 30%BF. Now I am 200 pounds at 18% BF. I want to get up to 250 again but maintain or even lose some BF. I have not lifted in about seven months, so I will first rebuild my strength thru a modified 5x5 program. Instead of 3 times a week it will be 4 times, alternating front squat and back squat ever session. Here are the two workouts:
Workout A:
Squat 3x5
Bench 3x5
OHP 3x5
Shoulder assistance
Triceps assistance
Chest assistance
Workout B:
Front squat 3x5
Hang clean 3x3
Deadlift 1x5
Row movement
Biceps assistance
Grip work
Calf assistance
I will have one rest day between each session in which I do agility and position work
Diet:
Since I will be playing a position like Fullback or Tight end, I don’t want to gain BF to slow me down. I will be doing IIFYM and eating 2800 calories a day at first, and my goal is .5-1 pound or muscle gained a week. My breakdown will be 40% protein, 30% carbs and 30% fat. So it turns out to be:
210 carbs
280 proteins
93.3 fats.
If I am gaining more than 1 pound a week I will cut down a bit.
Supplements:
Con-cellucor Protein powder and animal pak multis
The journey will begin tomorrow.
