View Full Version : My new Pre-workout Shake!

I am not one of those guys who can lift on an empty stomach or with a little bit in me. I need calories and a lot of them before I train. So I played around with some things and came up with this shake on Saturday.

Ingredients:
3 TBSP Coffee
1 TBSP Coconut Oil
1 TBSP Natty PB
1 Scoop Frosted Cinnamon Roll Pro & Oats
8oz Milk
1/2c Oats

Throw it all in a Magic Bullet/Nutribullet or straight up blender.

Tastes great! Helps me get up for a workout!! Obviously you can sub in any flavored coffee and any flavored Pro & Oats but I have been hooked on the Cinnamon Roll flavor.

I got this idea from G Diesel's bulletproof coffee which is amazing too by the way!

Do you still take a pre-workout? Or is this you pre workout itself??

Totally opposite, my pre-workout meal is a whole 2 hrs before my training session..

Depends on the day... If I am feeling extra sluggish or my body is dragging along then I will hit some Rage on the drive to the gym. But most days this shake does it for me just fine!

Instead of the 1/2c of oats this morning I put in 1/2c of Nature Valley granola, 10 extra grams of protein. Was outstanding!!
