sporting bling?? you mean trophies.....there are a lot of people on here that compete. and a lot of us dont show off our trophies because they are just milestones to us. i have taken a few powerlifting competitions in my time. i have the trophies. i dont care about showing them off. they are a milestone in my struggle of this everyday life.

There's not a lot of response if the thread doesn't stay in the "New Posts" section. I know theres a section called "The Gladiators-are you one?" where the forvm offered a special avatar & title for anyone who competes but it didn't get much of a response because it didn't stay at the top of "New Posts", while I know there are many people who compete that would be interested in this offer, including you Shellie. It's the nature of the beast, 5 minutes of fame if you will.

Yeah, on other forvms people "bump" their threads into the new posts by just writing "bump"--most fucking retarded thing I've ever seen, also not tolerated on here.

Just use the drop down Search function at the top and search for "gladiator" or "gladiators"--I'm sure the offer is still on, it was just started a couple days back. You're not "SOL". Haha.

After my first year of training I did the 2003 Maryland State Bodybuilding Championships.. I took first in the Novice Heavies and Overall.

In 2006 I did the Tracey Greenwood Classic in Philly and took 3rd in the Open Heavies. I'll qualify in 08 for Nationals....no doubt in my mind..ROCK&ROLL baby! Welcome to the boards.

Respect,

First year out of teens, gonna do the Contra Costa (may 12th, hayward, CA) novice and open middleweights...and i know what your thinking, "going from teens to open is suicide", but my nutritionist is a guy who consistently comes in with striated glutes, and got 2nd in his weight class at Team Universe (Pro qualifier) to the guy who recently won the whole Arnold amateur contest. Hopefully with great conditioning and about 8 months to pack on muscle, I will be a competitive 20yr old.

Wassup brothas and sistas of iron. I competed in 04 in the Vegas Natural. Took 4th place...not bad for my first show. I plan on competing twice this year (Mr. Nevada in June or Vegas Natural again in July, and the Vegas Classic in Oct.) You know I expected to be so nervous competing but once that light hits you and your music comes on...man what an adreniline rush. Peace and Train Hard!

Thanks! I will give my diet, cardio, and training my all. If theres a thread about contra costa when it rolls around, I'll let everyone know how I did.
