I've been wanting to start my own journey thread for a while now but I never felt like I was "worthy" enough. I read about guys throwin around serious weights and I'll be honest, it intimidated me. Then I remembered why I started lifting weights in the first place....it's fun. It's me vs me and that's the way it should be. I'm at war with myself and no one else matters. I'll be posting daily workouts and thoughts throughout the foreseeable future. Let the journey begin...

Shoulders:

Standing OH Press

Barx6
95x6
95x6
115x3
135x3x5 (WxRxS)

DB lateral raises (one arm at a time)

20x10
25x12x4
40x8
I really wanted to overload with a heavier weight here. Wasn't too worried about strict form just trying to get as many reps as I could.

Rear shrugs superset with DB rear delt raise

135x12x4 15x12x4

I'm trying to get a lot of volume on accessory work so that I can build up muscle and strength in my weak areas. Weak areas here being my middle and rear delts. Felt pretty good today. Front squats tomorrow

What is your training/diet schedule like?

You nailed it with the first post man, good stuff. If I said I was never intimidated a little bit a while back too I'd be lying... The FORVM is made up of true leaders with amazing amounts of knowledge and experience... nothing like it.

Training is basically just whenever I can get it in, but I like to squat twice a week and usually deadlifting heavy every other week. Deadlifting heavy every week was wearing me out for some reason and my numbers started going down. Bench is just thrown in whenever I can as I've never really had a problem with my bench.

I have a lot of respect for everyone in here. I love reading the journeys and gathering knowledge from others' experiences. Glad to be part of the team.

Hey man, glad you're on here. Although I dont post as much as i should/would like to, this is definitely one of my go to resources for motivation. I too am somewhat introverted so I can totally relate to the intimidation factor- just know that no one here will judge...

Thanks man. I appreciate the kind words. Everyone here has been a big help. I love the way the forum is run because it keeps the "trolls" out. This is a tight knit community and I look forward to getting to know more people thought this experience. I'll be following your journey from now on. Keep it up!

Nice thread my brother. And your weights are no doubt worthy.

This whole game is about being better, being great, on your own terms. Keep pushing.

Peace, G

In for this man! Just be the best version of yourself right? I also started a journey recently after lurking around, and it has been instrumental in helping me get stronger!

Looking forward to seeing what this blossoms into.

All the best

Thanks for the kind words man. I know what you mean. I feel like this has pushed me to a new level and I have new drive and focus to get better. Things were getting stagnant for a bit.

I'll be checking in on your journey. Keep it up bro.

This was the first time I have gone really heavy on front squats. I never felt like I could keep good form throughout the movement in the past, so I started working on hip mobility and improving my flexibility, lower back strength, and hip strength. Felt really good and strong yesterday while keeping good form, so I think it's been working.

Taking the day off today and getting back at it tomorrow.
