decided to drop a log here...hope u guys don't mind since i'm a powerlifter...i'll drop a few sessions recently...includin my lifters' creed that i live by now...
PLANET RAGE: THE LIFTERS' CREED
no one truly understands the dedicated....but its time to let them know...this goes out to all the haters and the half-asses...who think they know what liftin is..

u take in protein shakes so much you almost can't stand to take more...but you have to...cause u know your always on a mission...
u eat so much that u tire of eatin so much...but u know u can't stop....if u do, u stop the process of evolution of strength and size...
u don't go out as much cause u know your training come first...u also know that your friends aren't as dedicated as you are...
u allow your determination and RAGE to transform you...transformin you into what haters hate u would become...that you'll become what they fear the most...
u knowing this fact, u train harder, u put up with the daily routines, and go to work just so u can go to the gym
u look in the mirror sometimes not to admire the hard work but to realize the power that resides within...
u train smarter and harder than everyone else cause u want it more...cause u know that badasses aren't created in the gym...
in this world, your strength is what matters...not your job, not your dating issues, etc...u consistently make sacrifaces so that you can continue to evolve...
others can keep talkin shit...but really they are makin u famous..u know this and use it as fire to become what they fear u would become...
u also don't sit and wait for your time to come...u go ahead and take it! talkin is cheap...u put your money where your mouth is...and if u fail...no one feels sorry for ya...u just keep usin it to fuel the fire even more...in darkest night, your fire will continue to burn ever so bright...never dies!
in this world, rules and records are made to be broken...and so are ego...u understand this concept and u want others to break the standards u set...cause this will continue to push u harder...the evolution process doesn't stop...
u surround yourself with those who understand what "planet" your from...that understand what your goal is and are backin u 100%...u also drop those who don't know what "planet" your from...cause u know they are holdin u back...
u channel every bit of RAGE into your training and it causes u to transform into something that u wouldn't imagine possible...
u motivate and inspire those around u to visit and live the "planet" your on...so that in turn continues to fuel your fire...
u strike fear and intimidation to those who would fear what u will become...what the RAGE will transform u into...
what does this RAGE transform u into? A MONSTER...A FREAK...A BEAST...AN ANIMAL...that's up to you and only you...only you can make that choice...
but make no mistake, determination and RAGE will transform man into what he manifest himself into bein...see above for that answer...
u admire strength...u don't reward weakness
u crush those who dare to stand in your path of devastation...no man or being dare to stand against you...or can stop you..
for you are thy ENGINE OF RAGE...fueled by passion..glory..pain..blood...sweat...guts
PAIN AND SUFFERING will only make u stronger...the more pain u endure...the stronger u become...
u do what has to be done to accomplish your mission...there are no limits or excuses...those are for the weak...
what u do in the gym is only a measure stick for what u can do on the platform, stage, or in competition...cause that's when badasses are made...and the skull fuckin they do occurs..
u make it an effort to OWN your competition to show your true dominance...to show that u not only wanted it more...but u wanted it the MOST!
u also love a challenge...u aren't afraid to take one and u aren't afraid to be beaten...cause u learn a lot from failure than from success...which in turn will make u stronger...
your transformation will allow u do do and see things most mortals can't comprehend...u know this...and this is why u train...
look in to the mirror...see the power the dwells within...go to the battlefield...and become what YOUR enemies fear the most...

***tonite was an awesome session...bein away from the mono didn't hurt me too bad and neither did me doin bands and chains again throw me off. this is progress...before i would be all over the place with the bands and chains but now that i have been workin in straight weight its awesome! 635 and 675 didn't feel like shit to me...bent over on the 635 but was fuckin strong with the 675...next time i'll have to start with 635 and then end at 725. actually startin to work these briefs a bit more too...gettin lower to the box which i guess would be right at parallel on me(10 or 12 box)...had i taken a mat off it would of been below parallel on me. tonite was more of a test session for the briefs again under bands and chains and i know next time i'll have to go crazy...no doubt! speed deads was done in awesome form with my head up and all...i guess i was overthinkin the leg drive issue on deads...the warmups felt really strong too...really surprised at how much the front squattin is help. i did a different variation tonite...did some front box squats below parallel on the box with 225. then did some abs and hammers and was out. this was by far my most productive squat session...and lookin towards to next week being the same. i like bein the underdog for the APF bama meet...cause i know i ain't the only one though but i also makin me push harder than ever, wanna know what i'm talkin about...see FLORIDA. i'm a buckeye fan but mad respect to FLORIDA cause they wanted it more and they were the underdog and fuckin brought it. i'm not jumpin from the BAMA/OSU...just givin props where its due...:wink:

***this was an awesome session for me. thanx to pat, rob, big dave and blake for pushin me on those shirted sets...the game plan is to open with 635 so gettin used to it is the first part. fired it right off of 2-boards but near touch on 1-board...i also misgrooved one of my warmups tweakin the bicep/pec a bit. its sore now but it will be fine...2 weeks and i'll be back on track...i may just take a closer-grip like randy does on warmups from now on and not take a wide-grip until i get into my shirt. but as the sayin goes..."the more pain i endure...the stronger i become". this is a time to be smart about liftin...march isn't that far off now...takin a deload next sunday where we plan on training at a different location...stay tuned...LOL!!
i'm also goin to warm up to 405 and then get back up to 435...i'll gauge this off of feel...i only feel it raw and not in the shirt...
time to be smart....

***whoa...yet another TRIAGE PAIN TREATMENT session...but it was kinda what i was wantin to do...worked up to some decent tension...505 with chked blues, lights, and greens...it didn't feel that heavy when takin it out either...it was kickass...sprung out of the hole no problem no problem either...then went to straight weight and worked up to 865 and smoked it no prob...JUST WITH THE BRIEFS! this doesn't include the 2-ply hardcore....LOL!! i was amazed at the spring of the predators...fuckin awesome! then at the request of my 2 psycho training partners, decided to get something below parallel...it was 505 and i brought my knees out and touched a very LOW box...which is below parallel. got to an inch above it with 585 and man was my fuckin back fried but i loved it! not only that...all this was done in almost 30 degree room...yea..it was fuckin cold! did some speed deads and abs and was done...felt like a wuss if i just did squats and no speed deads...thanx to pat and rob for helpin/spottin/and firing me up...

***tonite i trained at rockhouse here in leeds and man that is a kickass gym...a good place to hit accessory work and a bench session too! the benches there are "competition" benches....no bs or talkin...just hardcore liftin...so expect me to have a return trip out there in the near future. anyways...had a kickass session to boot. worked up very heavy on the t-bar rows after being inspired by BRINGER's 7plate t-bar rows...good to know that i'm only 2 plates behind him...:wink: then i went onto some pulldowns w/ green bands. worked up very heavy on hammers(i needed it) did 120s for 2 sets of 5...pretty damn easy too. the bar for the shrugs was very slick so i had to use straps...maybe next time i'll use the sticky spray i got...lookin foward to sunday now...:twisted: i'm kinda like gettin back to my "old" self here...bringin the rage every session...this is the 3rd good one i've had...

***this was a kickass session...make it 4 now guys! warmed up to a very easy 405 for 2. then went into doin the speed work with runnin the bands under the bench so i have no idea where the amount of tension is(someone chime in?). worked up to 315 for a single with 4 minis ran under the bench...it was FUCKIN strong! blew it up fast. after 6 singles with 2 minis and dropped the tension and threw on 315...the goal here was 15 reps...i got 16! 4 reps more than the last time i did 315...that's huge progress. continued the session with db floor presses with minis and LOTS of dips...just for my bro BRINGER! hit some triceps and i was out...this was an awesome bench session and the pec wasn't an issue...now my BW is nearin 300 sooner than i though...298...though i anticipate my weight makin its usual few pounds but 298 is an all-time high for me...though it could of been the shirt i was wearing...my PAC sleelveless came in...and its awesome..i got some pics taken with it...they will be up later...somewhere...LOL!!

***who's says that u need to pull all the time to get stronger! this is fuckin improvement...i was fired up mostly from seein Gavin Laird pull 705 raw...i'm nowhere near him but its good to see that 3 years ago i was pullin 633 in the z-suit and now 650 without it. this puts me in a good standing on deads and folks...it was all speed off the floor...on all of them! my grip slipped on the first attempt with 650...which reminds me on what big dave had told me about the grip issue...so i know how to fix it now. with a stronger grip...i could of doubled 650 raw...its grip and hammy work on squat days from now on til the meet...as well as abs. then i went and did some very strong leg presses worked up to an easy 900 for 5...i kept the reps high..after that hanging spread eagles and hammy work and i was out...kept it short tonite...its a deload. also on some good news...i had mentioned a few logs back that i was in pursuit of a new job and today was my first day at it. looks like i'll be makin some nice $$$ for a change here...and its easy and fun...once i get my own route, it will be fuckin sweet. i think i'll be workin saturday but not sure yet...if so, i'll be doin some sort of raw work...or shirted...drew kicked some ass today...435 in his old inzer that he did 418 in back in ATL...on a side note...i'm nowhere near Matt K's 655 for 5...but its nice to be close though...i'll end tonites' quote that inspired me to pull that 650 again...

***today was a great-much needed session. had a very stressful week and need to unleash the rage on the iron. worked up to 7 plates on t-bar rows for 2 reps...i will get 5 reps on these soon...then went ontopush presses and barbell rows with 315 for sets of 10. then did shrugs and CG floor pin presses...they are awesome...finished up with some hammers and side raises. my bw is low because i'm adjustin to the new job physically...once it does the weight will go back up. but nice to see it hasn't affected my strength at all...my training days could be changing...i'll be benchin on tuesdays and squattin on thursday...and doin accessory stuff on saturdays...we'll see how this works out in the comin week...but i needed this session today...

***this was a horrible session...i worked up to some decent weight...first time in both HC and preds and handlin 875 wasn't a problem...well...it was for the core...something been neglecting and i know better than this shit. so gotta get on the ball with that again. another thing that occured is that my head wasn't in it. outside issues(or baggage rather) but i also know better than this as well...so that shit will change in 2 weeks...next week it will be bands and then straight weight...i'm goin to alternate bands/chains/str weight and goin str weight til the meet and see what happens...but lots of CORE and grip work...which i will do on accessory day, saturday but the head issue shouldn't of been and won't be again...bodyweight is obvious from the new job but it will adjust in few weeks up to 290-295 again...just gotta eat a bit more to do that...which is no prob...
this shit won't happen again...

I am working my way towards the IPA Worlds in June. Looking for a 1200lb squat @242.
i popped my quad at Nationals last year with 1100, been working on rehab ever since.
Besides my squat demo in the cage at the Arnold I will probably do a local meet to test my leg and equipment sometime in march or april.
Until then just out to train insane until something breaks.

i hear ya bro...i'm lookin to just get on board with a 2200+ total in march...right now my bench and dead are ok and my squat will be there in 2 weeks...just gonna nail openers right now and the rest will take care of its self...until til then...i'm goin to do the same brother! good luck on your goal!

***this was my first session at powerhouse...well...2nd really...since i wanted to go full-range raw i decided to work on speed and setup and they were on. let me tell ya, i got fired up when i saw a 242 raw bench 505 very easy....and he's 43 years old...(he's in the vid of the 315 raw repout)so ontop of everything else that fired me up to work on blowin up 405 as fast as i can and the 3rd single was the fastest of the 3 with 405. did some raw benchin jugglin between repouts and the cluster method...usin something that BIG ROB told me that kennelly used to up the raw bench. 250 was very easy and wanted to up the weight but stayed true to the number. after that i did a repout with 315 for 11 reps. then i did a blitz db bench...basically i did 100s for 10 reps and with very little rest, i did 125s for 10 reps and the same with 140s for 8 reps. did some back and tris and was out. i was able to regain focus again and after seein that wicked raw bench, it really fired me up. that guy is plannin on doin the wabdl meet in june so he's goin to be doin some damage there! LOL!! i got vids of the 315 for 11 reps and the 140s db bench on myspace...i'll be gettin some boards and another set of bands to optimize my training again.

find new lifters here won't be a problem that much is for sure...but the main thing is that i got my focus back and switchin gyms(no matter the equipment) made the difference. i plan on visiting gadsden next weekend or so and hittin NGBB at the end of the month...yes, paul, i'm goin to give u hell just for the hell of it...LOL! anyhow, lookin foward to squattin thursday...i'll be just in briefs then...

***man...this was another kickass session. 2nd night at powerhouse and i see 198er benchin 315 for 12 reps...talk about movtivation! anyways, warmed up to a deep 455 and put on the briefs. worked up to 585 and then had to change the rack height and then did 635, 675, and 725. a good bit of the gym was interested in the 725 for a double i did in briefs...it was an awesome feelin...LIKE bein at a meet...LOL!! then went onto speed deads and the did some machine front squats workin up to 720(16 plates in total) and the postition this machine puts u in has u doin an ass-to-the-grass squats and i got low on everyone of them! after that i did some GHR and spread-eagle hanging leg raises and was out. discovered from another lifter tonite that there is another group of lifters training out of a basement with awesome shit including a competition bench and a lot of other stuff. they bench on saturdays and will have to go down next saturday for sure since i'm workin this saturday...but good timin though...shirted bench with bands is up anyways...i'll work accessory stuff on saturday or sunday and squat wednesday....and see how that goes...though we all know the pop is still there in the briefs so we'll have to see what they can do with the dbl denim on top...

***gettin my training back on track so i squatted tonite...it will be week now before i do them again. i'll hit accessory shit on thursday, and we'll give 8plates a ride again on CS rows...damn i'm lovin those...i'll get a vid of them this time. tonite i worked up to 725 for 3(3rd was deeper) and 765x1(really deep). i'm gaugin on what weight will get the briefs plus the HC to below parallel. i think it will be 765 for sure but we'll find out in a few weeks though. i got vids of them so u can see for yourself. yea, the vids are back! LOL!! no sound but came out a lot better than the last cam did. did some machine front squats, abs, and GHR and was done. was still partly fried from squattin thursday but my CNS is fine! LOL!!

***tonite was a kickass session for me. yea...i fuckin owned 8 plates on the chest supported rows so i'm fuckin stoked about that shit! a set of 2 and then a set of 3...i'm tellin ya...that alter-ego of mine is startin to come out more and more often as the weights get heavier...i seem to get stronger...LOL!! it happened again on the CG floor press. i did 360 and the 375 following that was lot stronger than the 360! it was fuckin awesome! i had more but i'm savin it for saturday. did some heavy hammers and worked up to 150s for 3 reps AND then did some flareouts and did 60s for the first time and was easier than i thought it would be. i also went and got my boards and shoulder horn so i'm almost set...just need another set of bands is all. but i must admit, even though doin all this shit doesn't mean nuthin unless i get that 2205 next month, it still felt good to hit 4 PRs in a session and this on top of the drop in bodyweight...it hasn't affected my strength. can't wait til saturday...here are today's vids

***today was the first session with the boards and bands and i can tell that straight has slowed me down a bit even though i was benchin with a 55lb bar, i still had a strong session. whatever i have been doin, my 2-board came up...did 475...i want 500 on these fuckers! but i also need more band work as well...this has been my first band session in a long while. i'm confident though that i'll be able to use my setup on a competition bench with ease now. 415 wasn't nuthin today too...the last 2 singles kept comin up faster than the last. did some key presses today with green bands around me...very interesting...i had mad respect to clay who is able to do db bench with 100s plus greens around his back. i did get vids today but they were too dark comin out and my battery was low...more next time...if i don't have to work(which i hope is the case), me and some of the guys will be headed off to gadsden to a bench session to work on some openers. then i'll take a deload the following week...this week will be a deload on squats only.

***tonite was another kickass session...motivated by fire and rage right now and that's what pushed this session worked up to 500 and 515 on bent barbell rows...the 515 wasn't pretty but was strong! also the most i've done on those.. only got up to 345 for 3 on CG floor presses but that was after shoulder work...i'm really weak on those so need to work on the behind-the-neck's again. did them on the hammer strength last week but nothin like doin it with a barbell. i'll alternate though. only worked up to reps with 225...gettin back used to doin them. did db shrugs...yea i know...i don't know why i bothered...next week will be barbell shrugs again...i figured i would have fun reppin 150s for 25 reps...NOT! its a lot more fun reppin 600+ for 12+ reps...i got some vids of the bent barbell rows with 500...enjoy...and u can thank BRINGER and big rob for the motivation! ALSO on a side note, before i left work today, one of the salespeople there found out how strong i was and had me in a armwrestling match against this country boy(who was very strong to say the least). we shook hands prior to it and he tried testin my grip...no go. i hardly used 50%. as for the match took me a few but i managed to get him down no prob...it was a nice end to a day...and got 10 bucks for it too...so it was worth it...LOL!

***tonite's squattin felt off. warmin up raw felt off...could be from the bent bar...oh well...no complaints here. went up to only 725 cause my bicep tendonitis was flared up...BIG TIME! i'm icing it now but the last two singles with 725 was a lot lower and the last 725 was right on top of parallel...hopefully in a wider-stance i can get depth. i was constricted to the stance in the power rack...damn i hate bein tall! ***tonite session was done at golds off 280 since powerhouse was shut down due to the tornado warning we had today. settled for t-bar rows and worked up to a PR on those...7 plates and a quarter...damn happy about that...hopefully it will translate to a bigger bench in a few weeks. did some pullups after that and then shrugs. just did some high rep stuff with 405...felt like i was doin something on them this week not like last week when i was doin db shrugs...never again! LOL!! then did some shoulder horn work and hammers. finished up with some bicep, abs, calves, and rear delt work and i was out. u know your kickin your own ass well when u have a headache after liftin...but think about this...if guys like matt k. are goin balls to the wall...why shouldn't i? the plan is to hit a bench session on sunday at powerhouse, hit a "light" accessory work on tuesday and a deload bench on thursday...then a sunday squat session in gadsden to work on an opener. i'm lookin foward to havin fun at this meet as well as kickin ass...PLANET RAGE STYLE! for your pleasure, 3 new vids tonite. 2 of the t-bar rows and one of the 225 for 9. its pretty dark but i was practicing what i learned from coach mckee(LOL!!) last sunday and it works damn well on raw bench...definitely takes the strain off the bicep tendon. oh and the tendon flare up, occurred again so go some aleve tonite and icing it now...but from now on...no more armwrestling matches...LOL!!

***man...i was soo excited to train with adam(aka..TANK) that i was a little tired goin into this session. the 405 was a bit sloppy than usual but i made up for it on the 2-boards and PRed 385 with green band(around 465 at the top!). tank really pushed me today...he skull-fucked 365 with ease and i struggled with it but i went up to 385 with him but that set it was the reverse...i skull-fucked 385 and he struggled with it...how does that work? LOL! no matter...we both PRed on this. adam also hit 405...wasn't easy but it got it nonetheless. after that we went into our shirts...touched 405 on a 2-board...we both did. the same occured with 455. then we went full-range...now...mind u...i just washed my shirt so its a LOT tighter than it was last week so 500 came near touch on the first 2 singles(one on vid) and the last touched. just got to move the bar faster and the one i got on vid, i didn't tuck the elbows...i did it on the last single and it made the difference. adam tried 500 but i didn't have another belt to keep the shirt down so it shot back the wrong way. i had him drop to 405 and he touched and got that one...just more or less workin on the tech today...weight isn't the goal...we did that raw. after that we did some db floor presses, dips and pushdowns and we were done. this was a kickass session...we both redeemed ourselves on the raw work after the sloppy shit with the 405 but we were using the new tech too...tryin to get it to work. we also noticed that 2-board is adam's weakness as well as mine...i hope to get in another one or two bench sessions before he goes back to ATL. adam was 298 today and i'm 288...he's goin to help me break 300 this year in BW...so watch out...:twisted: we also liked goin from band/raw work to shirted/straight weight...i think i see PAUL KEY's madness on those and might be onto something...i guess neanderthal liftin does payoff...LOL!! but all in all...me and adam kicked some serious ass today benchin...thanx to the various lifters we had to recruit to take pics, vids, and hold boards today...they were a big help! powerhouse rocks! and thanx to big adam for trainin with me...who is lookin huge btw! can't wait til the next one brother! AND i'm behind ya 100% no matter what!

We're all competing under different feds, and in another forum I could see people argueing your stats or my stats. But really it makes no difference whether its geared or not. Just looking at your lifts, its not hard to tell your one strong powerlifter...

***tonite i didn't do much but was an awesome session...one of those sessions where u just have to have fun liftin ya know! LOL!! anyhoo, started out doin reverse band 3-board using CG grip and did some cluster sets with 405 and 425. then did some regular sets with 455 and 500 which is a PR for me. its amazin on how after those cluster sets, u set a PR afterwards...LOL!! i did 3-boards tonite as a change of pace...been doin CG floor presses for a month now...and thought this was a good choice. then i did some "matt k" db rows...we all know what that means right? i did 31 reps with 150s...i'm an amatuer compared to matt who's down 175s for almost 50 reps...did some shoulders and supersetted pushdowns and hammers and was out.
even more good news is that i met and may have a new partner. he's about 6-4 around 280 or so and could very much match me on pulls and bench as well as squats once he gets trained right on them and we're the same age. he'll be doin speed work with me on thursday and i'm excited about. i met him before at another gym so meetin him again was by chance. he's very excited about gettin into the sport so we'll see what happens but feeling good about this...here are tonites' vids

I am just observing, seeing what your all about and I can only say WOW! I am just a passerby..dont feel like I fit in too much here..way out of my league, but I will stop and observe and learn...I am always up for learning new things.

i'm not sure what to say after that post...but my attitude towards lifting has changed a good bit in the past few months and its for the better...i think if your goin to do something like powerlifting or bodybuilding, u either take it 100% all the way or not at all...ya know?

***tonite was my first session with big nate...the guy i mentioned in my previous session. he hung in there almost weight for weight with me on bench...that's fuckin awesome. he warmed up to 405 just like i did so he's goin to push me well on the bench...especially since me, him, and adam are lookin for 500+ raw this year. i'm goin to work on establishin a base like what BIG IRB is doin. any hoot, me and big nate did 185 with 2 dbl minis and chked green. even though he missed it, he's capable of it...no doubt! a few more session and he'll own it! we went to a repout and i did 9 reps and he did 6. i can tell i've been away from bands too long and doin straight weight too long...gotta pick my speed back up and for big nate.. still awesome for his first nite and first session with bands...i'm gettin some chains tommorrow so we'll have just about what we need. after that we did some db floor presses and worked up to 100s...we are defintely pushin on another for sure! same thing occured on dips...it was fuckin awesome! after that we finished up with some pushdowns/flareouts(which he caught on quick!) and rear delt work. big nate has got some BIG potential and he's goin to be in gadsden to see what the sport is really about. we'll be hookin up tuesday for some accessory work and thursday for a bench session...i won't be goin heavy then so i'll be mostly coachin big nate on setup. as for sunday, i'll be squattin in gadsden to work that 725 opener...but i believe i got big nate hooked for sure...he loved the training session tonite and loves everything about the sport...lookin foward to hittin some PRs with him and adam too...

***this is my final squat session before next saturday and everything felt good. trained in gadsden again for squats and my raw squats were VERY deep this time...hell buddy mckee even made a joke about me doin an USAPL meet...LOL!! any how, raw stuff felt strong and went into briefs and go up to 595 before i went into full gear(minus knee wraps). hit depth with 725. strapped up tighter on the 2nd one and came high so i need to do that after my opener. i came up today with t.diddy(tyler duffy)...a junior 308 and we were workin with him on gettin an opener in his shirt and learnin the same tech that me and drew learned 2 weeks ago. i believe he plans on openin raw since his shirt is still new...LOL!! we also got andy heflin in today(another aspiring lifter)...got a chance to do some boards for the first time...missed 365 on 3-boards and he's only 16 years old...LOL!! repped 315 on 3-boards prior to that...that's fuckin awesome.

the openers will go down w/o a question. my head has been right for the past last month and that's awesome...also the first time in awhile where i'm 100% goin into a meet and not havin any injuries to deal with.
i've had a long-hard trek towards this meet...job issues, friendships, gyms, etc. i also have to admit to something that has been obvious for the past few months...its no surprise that i'm not training with "team elite"...why, for several reasons that i won't go into but lets just say it wasn't good. its been goin on for almost a year now and i've just let it fire me up more and more rather than make posts about directly. i'm pretty much the underdog goin into this meet and that's fine. i also "lost" two very awesome lifters on the forum because of this and i hope they return after this meet. but it just forced me to return to the roots that i need to be in to be THE BRUTE again(hence the change in handle). liftin without that "awareness" in mind ya know and bein smart about my training and surrounding myself with true brothers like u guys that has helped me online and offline...thru all this, i've gotten to the point where i'm goin to just have fun at this meet..no drama involved...yea...i'm there to kickass but who says that i can't have fun kickin ass right? i'm also very fired for it as well...also a first....last year i was beat up like u wouldn't believe and barely set PRs...this year is difference and i'll just have to wait and see how this unfolds for sure cause i'm out on a mission....but other than that i'm goin to do some light sessions this week...just to keep body active and to help my new partner out as well...bein more of a coach this week...

MEET RESULTS:
opened with 727 on the squat and fuckin barried it! then went to 804 on the 2nd and had a struggle with it cause i had my two handlers call my squat high enough to pass. then one of my handlers went and named my final attempt with i had to be slapped around a bit for and nailed it with ease...it was 832! it came up easier than my 804.
but...i bombed on the bench. how? i'm still askin myself that tryin to find the answer. i waited 30 minutes before i could get my first attempt and got 501 but it felt heavy for some reason. i touched, fell out of my groove and missed it. same thing occured onthe 2nd. so with a little help from jon grove of NGBB, i tricked my shirt the best he could and i went up to 545...missed it at midrange. fuckin sucks!
now what did i learn from this: for one, my raw bench needs work severely. two, i need to pay attention to my grip...i sabotaged myself and brought it in closer than i needed. my fuck up..i know. three, jon grove may have made a point about the viking but i'm givin it a 2nd go this time around...may even work back into my F6 but need some raw work for a while.
four, the guys that were talkin shit didn't bomb and i did...that made the feelin on bombin out even more so painful to deal with. five, need to step this shit up...i know where i stand on the squat and dead...i'm not changing up at all...the bench needs work bad! the tech issues i can fix...i was tryin to learn something in 2 weeks and it didn't work..i had to revert back to what i was used to doin which didn't cut it! this pissed me severely yesterday but i'm better about it today after stayin in gadsden to help out/watch other lifters. kinda got things in perspective and regained my focus.
my bro drew did great as well...squattin in the upper 600s, benched 451, and pulled 501. this was his "first" full meet after goin to ATL and only benchin and squattin. me and him are goin to get some plans together tonite about where to go about our lifting...makin plans...my ass is back in the gym this week...i ain't did shit so i don't deserve time off...my ass is back in the gym this week training for the APF TN meet in june.
other than that i had an awesome time meetin more bros from the RAGE. mike bishop did awesome yesterday despite havin a sprained ankle from his squat. did a lot of his liftin off one ankle. carter went 953 on squat..it was fuckin sick at 220! t.diddy(tyler duffy) totaled in his first meet with a 705 squat and 622 raw dead. once he learns his gear, he'll total over 2100 easy! the hammer(chris senese) totaled over 2100 at 275 in his first full meet. he'll total 2300 easy once he gets a big squat goin...he blew people's mind went he went onto the bench though! gunny missed 705 again...but he's damn close to gettin it...that one right arm wouldn't lock. hammer and gunny brought up a new lifter that benched 551 easy at 275...already near 500 raw at 23 years old! big rob(henceforth KING KONG!) totaled 2000 raw in his first meet and broke the world record raw squat of 826! he made it look easy! my friend tom moss benched 450 raw...though he's done as much as 600...this was his first meet back in a year or so and at a lower body weight. jude hackett put on a technique seminar all day yesterday on all 3 lifts...none of his lifts i've seen looked like they had a flaw at all.
this is all i can remember from the meet. though i would like to thank drew gable, ryan hicks, tyler duffy and will irbs for bein there for me as well as big rob wilkerson, pat sobecke, gunny, tom and hammer...they always are a big help to me. will had a good time yesterday seein the sport...i believe that helped get the fire goin. And mike bishop, brant bishop, buddy mckee, doug daniel and the whole gadsden crew who showed support and everyone else who showed their support in person and online includin adam moore, big nate walrod, tim james(viking), steve birdsong and big rob thompson...
doin this meet won't shut up the haters but who gives a fuck about them. fell off my game plan and bombed in my first meet in 4 years. this shit won't happen again. i'm goin to attack this shit like i have never before...fuck those that are against me and more about those who are with me...cause those are the ones who matter like u guys. i'm also goin to travel a bit to gadsden and NGBB as well as visiting hammer and gunny down in foley down the road...but plans are involving me attackin that bench like never before and get these fuckin monkeys off my back...that 600+ and that elite total. i'm also goin to focus more on gettin a soild group of guys together and work as a team...a base for a barbell club...
in retrospect...i probably need this shit to happen like it did...cause the rage i felt yesterday was unbearable but seein the liftin today got shit back in focused and with the help of some good friends/partners i'm goin to get there. rage isn't nothin unless it focused...before it wasn't and now it...and nothin is goin to stand in my way...say what u want...i'm about to see a man possessed with rage become something that many fear i will become....

I really enjoy your log here. I am soaking it up. I am competing in a bb show in June, powerlifting is not my thing..but I do love to watch and learn from your guys cause i do like to stay strong for my size and try to incorporate different styles of training into my workouts.
After my cutting diet, after I rest from the show and get back in the swing of things, I may give speed bench presses a shot. That looked really cool. My max now is still 175 for one and I weigh 112.
I usually do 4 sets of 135 for 10 reps..can get 12 with a spot. I am just out for good pumps now. I am focusing more on definition and maintaining my muscle at this point.
