Hey guys,

Been putting this off for a while but feel like I should get it down whilst I've got some free time, and then hopefully I'll get into the habit of updating it semi-regularly. Thanks for checking it out.

For the record, as of beginning this progress thread (10th February 2015):

I am 20 years old.
I weigh in at about 86kg (190lb) at 6 foot nothing.
My current loads for 3 sets of 5 reps are:

Bench: 100kg (220lb)
Squat: 140kg (308lb)
Dead: 150kg (330lb)

I train pretty weirdly (or as many people at my gym seem to think), so in case you're interested:

Monday: Heavy chest/triceps (5x5 mains, 3x8 assistance)
Tuesday: Heavy back/bicep (5x5 mains, 3x8 asssistance)
Wednesday: Light leg/shoulder (3x12 all)
Thursday: Rest
Friday: Light chest/triceps (3x12 all)
Saturday: Light back/bicep (3x12 all)
Sunday: Heavy leg/shoulder (5x5 main, 3x8 assistance)

Current goal: Keep getting stronger.

If you want to know what I get up to each day in more detail, I'll pop up the full routine somewhere.
Any questions or anything please don't hesitate to ask.

I'm currently messing around with swapping around heavy/light legs and heavy/light shoulders to avoid having pre-toasted shoulders for chest on Monday. Don't seem to be having issues with it at the moment though, so we'll see how it goes...

Due to work and stuff I ended up doing deads on Saturday this week, managed to get some good weights up:

70kg x 8
110kg x 8
160 x 5 x 3
170 x 3
110 x 8 sumo
70 x 8 sumo

Overall a great day and was very happy with the 170 (374lb).

Hi guys,

It's been a while. I've been training through, but i've not seen fit to update this post up until now.

I competed this year in my first few powerlifting competitions - it's good to see that I've come on quite a way since my first post!

PB Squat is at 506lb, Bench at 330 and Deadlift at 572.

I managed a best total of 1336.5lb at the AWPC World Championships, missing out on my top bench and my top deadlift.
Not great for my weight class, but we are getting there.

Hopefully I'll see fit to update before 2022.

Cheers

What weight class are you competing in?

100kilo, which is 220 I think.

Been working a new block style for training, which is going well, and this week attempted a 5 kilo PR for bench (341lb) which paused nicely and went up pretty quick, so looking to testing a new pr in 4 weeks. Didn't want to push it this week cause I've had all sorts of moans and groans from the elbows, so got what was on the sheet and left it at that.
