Eating cottage cheese can get borring and tasteless, so I found that adding a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese on top makes it taste buttery and more satisfying..... Anybody got some other ideas on cottage cheese?

I added a powered cottage cheese recipe in my jump start your morning thread or the protein treats thread..one of them. I also mentioned one where you take egg noodles, boiled obviously...spray with some I cant believe its not butter spray...add cottage cheese and cinnamon and eat warm..its really, really nice. I used to love that as a snack.

Also...low-fat ricotta cheese is nice too. Italians mix it with sliced tomatoes and eat with melba toast or sesame toast crackers...you can add the parmesan to it too or even splenda if you want it a bit sweet. Italian normally add sugar to ricotta and eat that as a dessert!

I found that other one:

This is what i usually do with my cottage cheese, hope it helps:-
Take a serving of low fat cottage cheese, some strawberries/ banana or an orange (preferably chopped), one cup of water, one packet of equal, one cup of chilled water, and one cup of crushed ice. Throw it all in a blender and liquefy it.

I agree with you on this if you plan on eating it all the time..but for men..its a bit different..as you pointed out with dieting before. These guys can afford to eat cottage cheese. I dont eat it while on a cut, but will on occasion when bulking...in moderation..everything in moderation. That's how I feel.

Cottage cheese + pineapple. Can't go wrong with that combo for mass eating. Peace, G

Mmmm... my favorite bedtime snack! Add a SHITLOAD of pepper and you're good to go! I'll have 2 cups most nights with the top of the bowl blackened with pepper.

I mix NF cottage cheese with my morning shake.

But the best thing that I found is this, and I eat it right before bed:
Take nonfat cottage cheese and throw it in the freezer.
After frozen solid, remove from the freezer and let it dethaw in the fridge.
After it's completely thawed, remove from fridge and stir with a fork until creamy.
Place one serving of cottage cheese in a bowl, along with one scoop of vanilla Specialized Protein for Lean Mass. Blend well with fork.

I kid you not, this tastes like freakin' cheese cake! Throw a lil' whipped cream on top, and your one step short of Cheesecake Factory!!!

Why do you freeze it then thaw it? Why not just mix it straight from the fridge?

You can do that, but by freezing and then stirring it before adding the protein makes is ALOT creamier and less lumpy.

This is probably my favorite fast snack other than a shake or bar. Right now i just did a 1:1 mixture leftover chili and cottage cheese (thats what was in the fridge), it was actually pretty good.
