New to powerlifting. I found an online coach in January 2017 and been training with him since then. My first event is on April 1st, 2017 in Columbus, Ohio.

As of 02/20/2017 my numbers are:

Squat: 335lbs
Bench: 275lbs
Deadlift: 435lbs

I'm committed to the journey.

My first powerlifting event is this Saturday. I will be doing a full event. My question is, what percentage of my training 1RM should I open up with?

1RM Squat: 335lbs
1RM Bench Press: 275lbs
1RM Deadlift: 435lbs

Thank you in advance for your respons(s)

First time back to the gym in almost 4 months. I’ve decided to start everything from Day 1. It’s just me doing my own programming. This week I’ve dedicated to finding my 1RM in the 3 main lifts. Today was my Deadlift day. I pulled 405lbs and stopped. I was content with it and that’s what I’ll use moving forward. After my main lift I focused on 3 accessory movements: Good mornings 3x5@95lbs, Lat Pull-downs 3x10@110lbs and Rows 3x10@110lbs. One of my focuses is adding a little cardio to my programming. I rowed on the Concept 2 Rower for 300m. Came home did some crunches and mobility.
For a first day back I’m pleased with today.
