Hi Fellas.
Quick question about carb cycling.
Since when I calculated my calorie intake I included my activity level..
what do I do on days I dont excercise? Do I take in less calories or just keep the same amount?
I excercise 5 days a week, Mon - Fri. And I take in about 2800 calories day when cutting. When bulking 3300 +.
Thanks.
Hi there!
I carb cycle and am currently getting ready for a show. Today is a high day for me (150g carbs), and I rested all day today. I eat exactly the same as I would if I had trained today. Tomorrow I will start low again, and what I ate today will get me through tomorrow's training for sure. Let your body take in those carbs and fats and enjoy them when you rest...you know soon enough, you will be in that gym working your body like no tomorrow, so eat like you would normally on your diet even on your rest day. Your body will surely thank you for it!

You only have a caloric difference of 500 between cutting and bulking? Sorry to burst your bubble but that's not a bulk bro, eat more. And when cutting you never want to eat less on days you don't train, because what not many people understand is that it's the consistency that will help you reach your goal. There's no such thing as an "overnight cut" or a week long cut to get in shape for the summer, or whatever other reason that people feel the need to be in shape for. When I cut, I don't count calories but I eat damn clean for however long my cutting lasts (12-16 weeks), with NO CHEAT MEALS. As far as carb cycling goes, you're going to have to experiment with it to find the perfect rhythm (i.e. L, L, L, M, H...) as I've found out over the past couple years, and stick with it. When I bulk though, I average about 4500 calories, which I sometimes feel is still not enough. All these calories on a bulk come from REAL FOOD, like red meat, chicken, beef, potatoes, rice, oats, PB, and my favorite, eggs. I'm sick of reading about people thinking that eating tuna and a little extra rice on a bulk will get them big, because they will never be big. If I'm not full at all times of the day when bulking, including waking up in the middle of the night, then something's not right. Peace.

When I am on a carb cycle and have an off day, I keep my carbs intake at about 100 grams and usually cut them after noon. Since I wake up at 5 for work, I do my cardio on off days when I get home around 3. My off days are usually lower carb days.

yea man i hear ya. But i've been bulking with 3000+ calorie diet and i've gained quite a bit. I went from 158 to 183 in 4 months! It was the biggest bulk ever for me. It was a lot harder to gain after 3 months, so I ate a lot more, it probably had something to do with my weight increase.
I dont really count calories when i eat (on a bulk), its just once in a while i counted my calories and it came out to 3000 sometimes 4000 calories a day.
Thanks for reply bro.

No problem bro. And if it works, then you know what to do, stick with it. When you plateau though and quit gaining so fast, you need to up the calories because there's no way that's enough. Good luck. Peace.
