View Full Version : Venting: people at work

I've been on a pre-contest diet for the last 13 or so weeks and all my co-workers know what I'm doing and what I eat while at work. It's been getting pretty fucking irritating lately when I come to work and some fat-ass I work with daily says in a taunting way, "What ya' eatin' today?" or "How's the tuna?" What the hell! Why do these people have such a keen interest in what I eat, how often I eat, and how the food tastes when I've told them over and over again. I try to go somewhere secluded to eat my meals, but one of the "regulars" eventually seeks me out to ask me some redundant question about my food. Maybe it's the low carbs talking, but shit, it's getting old!!!

in all honesty, it is a part of our life that we have to deal with. i usually just turn my mp3 player up a little louder and ignore it.

they question what they fear.

I get it as well all the time from everyone. 99% of the time, it stems from a sort of jealousy. They would love to have what you have but they know they don't have the discipline to do what's necessary. Some people are completely content being disgusting slobs; others want to change but cant. These folks run into someone (you) on a daily basis who reminds them of their fitness downfalls; making fun, and dumbass comments is their "out" to make them feel better. I just ignore or laugh it off, knowing at the same time I look and feel money, while most of them are turds.

I get the same thing when it comes to drinking gallons of water and eating all the time. I think at least one person a day asks me "are you going to drink all of that" or "are you eating again" I've been doing this for the last 3 years, you'd think they'd have caught on by now.

Yeah its all about jealousy. They know they dont have the determination to be like you so they mock you. People mock me for eating soo much and always clean, going to parties and not getting drunk, but they just cant handle that they cant be like us.

And to K1USA all i can say is nice.

Naturally huge,

Man, I know EXACTLY what you mean. I used to bring tuna every day to work. So much so that people called me tuna man. I didnt pay any attention to it. Then I began bring chicken to work and started getting more comments like 'youre going to turn into a chicken' Those comments got so out of hand that whenever someone would ask me what I was eating I would say, dont worry about it, you aint eaten it!!! Now I eat a turkey patty with salmon at work. I got a fat lady who comes every couple of days and asks 'what are you eating?' I saying, what in the world does it look like?!!!!! She thought it strange. Well, now when I see here she is eating a big bowl of corn flakes with sugar powder all over it. I look over her shoulder and sit there for about 5 seconds and say, YEP A HEALTHY MEAL, CORN FLAKES AND SUGAR!! Then I say in a lower voice, you gonna get bigger and bigger you keep going like that.

They whole thing annoys me and so sometimes I go into the locker room and eat. I am glad to know someone else out there is dealing with the same thing

I love being told whats healthy and whats not, what makes you grow and what makes you fat. Just a reminder that we are more educated, at least in an attempt to be.

Use that "controlled rage" in the gym Naturally Huge! Attack the weights like you never have before, keep your eye on the big picture. And when all the smoke and dust clears, we all know who the strong ones are!
