dude, forget the micro, get a rice cooker. its so convenient. i swear by it. i have an oster. all i do is fill it with rice and water, and push 1 button, and it turns off automaticly. i usually do it overnight, and in the morning the rice is perfect. its easy to clean, and they cost like 30 bucks. ill do 2-3 batches a week depending how much i eat. its so worth it, itll actually change the way you eat.
Yes I agree, the rice cooker is bad ass...I got one for christmas and it definitely has making meals for the week a whole lot easier. You can grab a decent rice cooker for like $20-30 at a lot of stores. Definitely check it out.

I have a Cuisinart and it kicks ass. 2 cups of rice, 3 cups of water and presto, rice is ready to roll. Also comes with a steamer (as an addition) in the top for veggies. Go for a rice cooker.

I've done the "boil in the bag" versions of rice in a bowl in the microwave with good results. Just followed the directions on the box. Peace, G
