I wouldnt consider myself Lactosse intollerant or anything like that but I find if I put down two shakes too close together. Go a little overboard on the cottage cheese at night, or just take in too much Dairy to get my daily protein in I feel it goes right through me and its in the porcelain tank in no time.

Sucks because I love how convenient Dairy products are. Anyone else got this problem? I must just have a weak stomach. Usually get this once a week and my next question not only do I hate to see the almighty dollar get literally flushed down the toilet, but how much do you think it affects muscle growth when a guy wastes a lot of his protein due to this cramping?

Have you tried Beano? It seems to work.

I'll have to check out the beano, cuz I'd say just about the same thing. I hadn't really realized how my body could react like that same way. I get the indigestion and gas if I have too many shakes within too close of a span. Normally I make one of my shakes with 16-20oz of milk.

Could be the beta-lactoglobulin fraction in milk. It's an allergenic fraction.

Could be your Protein, when I use a Off brand or Store brand, It gives me the Meat sweats and the kind of Gas that can cause a divorce!! Try mixing with water also, that helped me. Peace

Gas Can, I actually read an article about it a while back. I don't remember all the stats, but something like 70-80% of Eastern European descent are lactose intolerant to some degree.

Now this is a sliding scale; it's possible to be only slightly lactose intolerant. I am mildly lactose intolerant--can eat ice cream; can eat milk and cereal; cannot drink a glass of milk. I switched to DairyEase milk, and I've got no more cramps or diarrhea when I drink milk. It's milk without the lactose, so it's more digestible, and it tastes great. Try it out.
