and that's we hate cardio... despise it... but it's a necessary evil in the bodybuilding world. What songs motivate you through a long session of cardio? or is there a particular thing you like to do to just waste away the time as quickly as possible?

Yes, i agree. Cardio sucks something awful... but just being on an elliptical next to all the obese who run their asses off then go for a pizza buffet after "working out" motivates me ;-)

Oh, that and i look @ my highschool drivers license a lot. lol Thats some good motivation.

my gym has all the treadmills set up in a room with mirrors all around, i try to get on the one in the corner so i can use the mirrors to watch my own butt while running.

seriously, i just listen to the tv they keep blaring.

I just can't run on a treadmill - no way!

We have a track near to where I live and I head down there every saturday morning and do about an hours cardio making sure I run correctly and bringing my knees up when I sprint. Great for the hams and abs guys!

I also skip with a rope 3 times per week for about 25 mins a session and that's all I need.

Static X - Kill your idols

Great for training and cardio. There are a few more songs I could post but that's the main one that gets me motivated enough to run.

In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida by Iron Butterfly. If you get the full version, listen to that song, hmmm... twice? And your cardio session is over, hahah.

Cardio sucks, but you can always make it intresting. For cardio i do boxing, jump rope, swimming, treadmill, stairmaster, iam always doing something different and it makes it intresting.

Yeah, I hate it too, and frankly, I'm starting to wonder why I even bother. For the past 6 months, I've cut it down to almost nothing. Maybe 15 minutes PWO slight treadmill, incline. No difference in body comp from running my ass off 3-4 days per week.

For me it seems diet means more than anything. Screw cardio, wanna lose fat, eat right and train hard. 8-)

Anything by Black Flag, Rollins band, etc. Other than that, it's simple man - one foot in front of the other. I don't think about it, just step up and do it.

On arm days, if I'm doing static cardio (treadmill, bike, etc) I do grip work with heavy grippers while doing it. Lately, I've been listening to a cadence CD fairly often while running/jogging on the track. Cadence gets me really fired up, and helps me keep pace.

I workout on base and they have little t.v's on the equipment. I just turn it to something. Put my music on and phase out on the t.v. gets me through my cardio in no time!

I used to be a squash player a long time ago, so I play like 3 sets for my cardio. if I can't play squash for anyreason, I would choose a treadmill opposite a hot chick with bouncing boobs, that sure motivates me. Ooops... did I actually say that ?

The song that gets me through cardio is A Little Piece of heaven by Avenged Sevenfold.

I've found that if you can zone out when you're on the elliptical, cardio goes a lot faster.

Cardio does suck, AC/DC has some up tempo stuff thats good to do cardio with...

yes it is true cardio does suck, but it is what you make of it. if your constantly doing the same thing for the same amount of time and with the same intensity it will suck! so i say mix it up challenge yourself, get outdoors, compete with a workout partner or yourself, and i will not be as bad as we make it out to be.

Sucks a lot, but its nice to come off the stairmaster dripping with sweat knowing you're one step closer to that shredded body..

If i'm walking on an incline treadmill I'll try to get some studying done or read a book to pass the time.
