I have just started using it and it has gotten wearable, but I need to soften up the leather because it is to hard on the area of my stomach where I had a hernia repaired in October. Any ideas from some of you guys? I was thinking maybe shaving cream since that is a old baseball glove trick but I don't wanna ruin the belt.

sounds really strange, but i always put a new belt with baby oil on it in an old duffle bag and kick it around for a few days. stomp it, throw it hurl it, etc. does the trick for me.

Mine's not broken in ...yet. and I've had for 4 months. I have a friend who power lifts competitively. He's had his 3 years and I dont think his is really broken in. That forever belt is one tough cookie to crack

Get the sand out of your vagina!!!! lol. Hey Bro' those belts are meant to take a beatin'. You can get it to form to your body somewhat by wearing it all the time and sweating in it,of course you get to look like a retard walking around the gym with your belt on all the time, but it will always be stiff, it is designed to be.
Your hernia issue will heal up long before that belt gets comfortable.
You've got the best belt on the market, so just give it a little time, you will get used to it.
