View Full Version : NGA Northeast, Round Two
What's up fellas I recently did my first contest and placed 4th in the Open division, going to take a year off to put on more size and come back to the same show next year, looking to move up a coule places. Here's my training split and diet for this off season:
Day 1: Back and hams
Day 2: Chest and biceps
Day 3: Off
Day 4: Legs, calves
Day 5: Shoulders, triceps, abs
Day 6-7: Off
Diet:
Meal 1: 4 whole eggs, 1 cup of oats or 1 whole grain bagel, turkey bacon or sausage, fruit
Meal 2: The G. Diesel shake (Do a search if you don't know what it is)
Meal 3: Subway's roast beef sub with double the meat, a slice of buffalo chicken pizza
Meal 4: Ground beef and brown rice, veggies
Meal 5: Chicken/fish with potatoes or rice
Meal 6: Peanut butter sandwich, cottage cheese
Aiming for 40g of protein and 50g of carbs per meal.
Supps:
Animal Pak, EAA Stack, Whey
Will add Shock Therapy next week.
My plan is to bulk up to around 190lbs and compete next year around 170, I competed at 159.5lbs at my first show.

Your pics were the shit, Angst. First place next year!! Consider me subscribed, good to see your Journey.
Taking it easy in the gym this week to let my body recover from the diet, trying to use the same good form as Wrath did in the training videos. Will increase the volume and weight next week.
Bench press: warm up, 135x12, 155x12, 135x12
Incline DB press: 50s for 3 sets of 12
Cable crossovers: 3 sets of 12 reps
Barbell curl: warm up, 65x12, 75x10
DB curl: 30sx10 reps, 25sx10 reps
Concentration curl: 1 set of 12 reps to get a good pump
Numbers don't matter to me anymore 'cause at my contest, none of the 9 judges asked me how much I can lift. Right now my sole focus is to place the greatest amount of stress on the target muscle, I know I can train smart and get stronger at the same time.

Thank you for the support Giant Killer, this might sound crazy, but my goal for next year is to become the youngest NGA pro at 20 yr. old. The way I see it, while that goal may seems impossible to accomplish, someone is gonna get that pro card, so why not me? Afterall, 2 years ago when I told people I wanted to compete someday, no one thought I could do it.

Thanks bro and best of luck at the IPF Worlds
Like I said before, I'm still new to this game, so any advice regarding my training and diet is greatly appreciated.

Angst, you're probably going to love the new "M". I was one of the ATP testers for it and it is great stuff. You'll have to drink lots, I mean lots of water. Eat hugh amounts of clean food too.
I'm excited about Torrent too, I haven't tried it yet but have it headed my way with being one of the winners of House's promo.
Good luck brother, peace.

Yeah bro I noticed pretty much all the ATP testers experienced the thirst and increased appetite, looking forward to it. I loved the old M-stak, I'm sure the new formula is gonna kick ass.
So there's a guy at work who use to compete in the 70's, when bodybuilding shows always came after powerlifting meets, and the only stage light is a single 40 watt light bulb hanging from the ceiling.
Anyways he gave me this tip, to open up the rib cage and get that V-taper like bodybuilders from the Golden Era, he told me to super set squats with DB pull-overs. I believe the theory is that you'll be sucking air after a set of squats, by performing pull-overs will extend the rib cage. So I'll be doing this on every leg day from now on, it wouldn't hurt to try plus I love doing pull-overs anyways.
Here's my leg workout tonight:
Squats: 2 sets of 135x12, 2 sets of 155x12, 1 set of 185x12
super setted with DB pullovers: 5 sets of 12 reps with a 50lb db
Leg press: 4 sets of 12 reps
Hacks: 3 sets of 12 reps
Leg extension: 150x12, 165x12, 180x12
Will increase both the weight and volume for next leg day.

Pullovers is a very overlooked move, I know there's a thread on this topic. I plan to do pullovers twice a week, once with chest and once with quads.
Just trying to get a good pump and the blood flowing, having the next two days off and back to the gym on Sunday. It felt weird for going light in the gym, but I guess it helped my body heal.
Side lateral: 3 sets of 25 for 10-12 reps
Machine press: 40x12, 40x12, 45x12
wide grip up right rows: 95x12, 95x12, 115x10
Rope pushdowns: 3 sets of 12-15 reps
Dips: 3 sets of 12 reps
Hey thanks for stopping by and congrats on the contest and pack on some beef bro. peace
I just started taking my 3rd tub of ST today, it's still my favorite NO booster so far, I'll switch back to Pump when I'm bored with the grape flavor lol. Needless to say, the pump, energy, focus was amazing. Great workout today, 'cause I was able to let the target muscle do most of the work and still moving decent poundage.
Back and hams
Bodyweight pull ups: 15, 15, 8, rest-pause 10+2, for 50 reps total
Reverse barbell row: 135x12, 155x12, 175x10, 175x8 dropset to 135x10
Hammer high pull: 140x12, 160x12, 180x10, 180x8 drop set to 140x11
Deads: 175x10, 225x10, 245x8
Seated leg curl: 120x15, 135x12, 150x12
Tri-set: one leg lying curl: 40x12, 40x12
Standing calf raise: 2 sets of 15 reps
Angled calf raise: 2 sets of 12-15 reps
Just trying to feel the contraction in the muscles, the amount of weight is the least I have to worry about.
Went to a different gym for a morning workout rather than my usual afternoon workouts. Chest and bis, still loving the ST.
Flat bench DB press: 60x12, 70x12, 80x10
Incline barbell press: 135x12, 155x9, 155x7
Incline flye: 35x12, 45x12, 50x10
Barbell curl: 75x12, 85x10, 85x7 dropset to 65x8
Hammer curl: 35x12, 40x10, 35x12
Concentration curl: 25x10, 25x9, 22.5x10
I wanted to use more weight, but I felt the muscle working and the pump was great, I'm sure the numbers will go up next week when I start taking the new M-stak.
Here's the supps I'm taking this week:

Looking good here..good to see your back in the gym taking care of business..just take it easy..after doing a show, your body especially needs some TLC...your also more prone to injuries now, so take it easy and ease your way into lifting heavy again.

Well I did went pretty light last week, hopefully that's long enough 'cause I really enjoy training heavy and hard. But I've been more careful lately, using better form on all exercises.
I want to start taking "M" and Torrent next week, to take advantage of the rebound effect, good idea or no?

I dont see why it wouldnt be a good idea. All the supps your taking are pretty much designed for their own purpose. Torrent is great post workout..MStak is for hardgainers right? You got the heavy gains whey there with all those wonderful calories, fats and carbs for bulking, creatine to maintain strength and lean muscle mass (I always liked pump pre wo and storm after), pak as your multi with breakfast, and everything else...sounds solid to me.
I would give yourself at least another week of just going light then slowly creep into heavier weights. Give your body some time to slow down. Right now, its still burning everything your eating pretty quick. Your metabolism is still flying high now. You will notice when you start slowing down..trust me.
I dont think you need the extra whey with torrent and real gains..you just eat solid foods more throughout the day.
Props to Brandona for getting me amped for the workout tonight, I had one of the best workouts. And sorry Toni i couldn't let myself ease up in the gym tonight, partly because I drank Storm and ST pre-workout, and I said to myself "FUCK everything else I'm gonna train as hard as possible."
The guy who beat me in my weight class went on to win the overall title, it could've been me! That's what's going through my head throughout the workout, so now I'll do everything i can to make sure that'll never happen again. SECOND PLACE JUST ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH! My goal for the next contest is to CLAIM that overall title and move up a couple spots in the Open class(three to be exact)
I think I'm more ready now than ever to accomplish those goals, I'm training smarter, taking the offseason diet more serious, and taking the right supps.

Love the volume Angst, 135 for 20? going to have to try that next week...I am honored that I was able to light a fire under your ass today, looks like it burned hot and long...You have your mind set firmly on the prize, your body has no choice but to follow...What you got for us next?...

When I did the 135 for 20, I counted the reps backwards from 20-1, that kinda helped 'cause I was in so much pain.
Did delts and tris today, working around a sore rotator cuff so nothing to brag about. Two rest days coming up and then doing back on Sunday, its gonna be a sick workout 'cause I'll be taking my very first dose of "M".
Every thursday I got work from 10-3 or 6pm, then school til 7:30pm, so I train either in between work and school or after school, a whole lot of supps and meals to pack. Still taking easy on shoulders, don't wanna make my rotator cuff any worse than it already is.
Side lateral: 25x12, 30x12, 35x10 dropset 25x8
Seated military press: 95x12, 115x12, 135x8
Up right row: 95x12, 115x10, 125x10
Bench rear delt: 30x12 for 3 sets
Smith machine reverse bench press: 3 sets of 8-12 reps
Skulls: 3 sets of 65x12, 10, and 8
One arm reverse pushdowns: 45x12, 40x12, 40x12
They just put up my posing routine on the NGA NY website, I used a soundtrack from the 300 movie. I'm not too happy with it, missed the beat a little and didn't practice enough.

I made so many mistakes in the routine, the transitation wasn't good, the lack of "flow" from each poses. I felt that I didn't had enough poses in my routine, also I should've hold my strong poses longer, like the back double bis, just gotta pace myself. Also when I did the 3/4 turn back double bis, I didn't hit it correctly. On the last pose, I should've bent my left arm more.
Next time I'd spend more time practice and make sure I'm hitting each pose right.

Thanks bro, I've learned from my mistakes and I'm sure my next routine will be much better.
On a side note, it felt weird as hell watching myself on stage. Kinda like "holy shit! that's me!" lol
I'll be taking my first dose of the new M-stak today, gonna wait one more week and then add Torrent to the mix. Right now for post-workout, I use EAA stack, followed by a shake with rick cakes, jelly, and a banana.
Gonna go hit the gym in a few hours, I can hardly wait!

Thanks bro, hopefully I'll make some great gains from "M", I noticed a lot of the ATP testers experienced thirst and increase appittite, that should help me 'cause I always had trouble getting in enough calories.
I'll be posting my weight every week and take pics in the next few days and also at the end of the cycle.
The new formula of M did its job, I had one of the hardest workout ever. The energy, focus, strength, and pump was amazing, felt like there's nothing that I couldn't move. Feeling extremely tired right now, maybe is due to all the stim. in M and ST. My back is gonna be sore tomorrow. Measured my weight at the gym today, right now I weight 170lbs, hopefully it'll go up at the end of the cycle. Here's how it went down:
Bodyweight pull ups: 15, 15, 15, 7+5 rest pause
Barbell row: 155x12, 185x12, 205x10, 225x8, drop set to 185x6, drop set to 135x10
T-bar row: 5 25sx12, 6 25sx12, 7 25sx12
Seated cable row(medium grip): 100x12, 110x12, 150x10
SLDL: 135x12, 185x12, 205x12
Hypers: 3 sets of 12, 12, and 15
ss.
Lying leg curl: 100x12, 110x12, 120x10
Never been this tired before, I'm gonna sleep good tonight.

Good work, its only up from here.
I feel like my body has recovered from the contest diet, so from this point on there will be no more half-assed effort in the gym. Instead there'll be some good old fashioned eating and lifting. The "growth" season has began, and what I do from this point on determines how well I'll do at my next contest. That 1st place trophy is a whole lot bigger than my 4th place trophy, I know trophies doesn't make you a man, but a victory is a lot sweeter than defeat. My 4th place hardware is sitting on top of my drawer, its a constant reminder that I still have a lot of work left to do. When its all said and done, there can only be one.
My lack of size resulted in my poor placings, it frustrate me that I was born with a narrow frame, and being 6 foot tall didn't help either. I must admit that I don't have good genetics for bodybuilding, and sometimes I even question whether I've choosed the right career. But there's no turning back, I did not go through all the hardship just so I can quit now. Mike Katz said something like this in Pumping Iron "there's 2 kinds of dogs, if you keep kicking it and kicking it, its either gonna roll over and die, or its gonna turn around and bite you." I always believe that there's no such thing as quitting, not just in bodybuilding, but in life. I don't like to quit on anything, no matter how hard it gets.
So now its time for me to kick it up a notch, give everything I have, and fight to the end. It ain't over til its over brothers.
Never give up, never back down, and never take the easy way out!

Yup, you gotta keep fighting brother, bite back. You got 2nd, and you said you know where you could've improved. There's nothing better than that. Keep pushin'.
I watched your vid and I thought your posing was very good; very slow and controlled. You had total control of your body. Nobody would ever notice any mistake you said you made because first off, the audience never saw your routine before, so they wouldnt know if you made a mistake or if you forgot something and second...you didnt trip or fall like I would do, (tradition for me it seems, whenever I get on any stage floor), so I think overall, you looked really good up there..it did come natural to you! I am jealous! I am horrible on stage! LOL

Actually I was pretty nervous inside, 'cause i was alone on stage and all eyes were on me.
You'll do fine Toni, all of us here are gonna be in the audience yelling on top of our lungs:"TONI ROCKS! TONI ROCKS! TONI ROCKS!!!" : D
Not as tired after the workout tonight, biceps was sore from yesterday but I went ahead and blasted them tonight anyways. The pump, energy, and focus was amazing.
Bench press: 155x12, 175x12, 185x10, 185x6, drop set to 135x8
Incline DB press: 60x8, 10, 10, 65x8
Flat bench flye: 35x12, 40x12, 45x12, 45x10
All bicep moves and done without clips to ensure strict form.
Barbell curl: 75x12, 85x10, 85x8, drop set to 65x6
Close grip EZ bar curl: 85x8, 75x8, 75x7 plus 5 rest-pause reps
Bent over concentration curl: 3 sets of 25sx10
Amazing pump in my biceps right now. Gonna have some salmon with mashed potatoes and veggies for post-workout meal.
This may sound weird but I check the horoscopes every once a while just for fun. Here's what it said about people whose b-day is May 1st, aka me. "Your goals take you on a journey this year, and you'll not only glimpse new worlds, but you'll participate in them or even rule them."
Well I know what my goals are and the path I'll take, as for the second part, to me "new worlds" means my next contest. So I guess that means I'll enter the contest and even come out on top. In the mean time, its leg day today and i just took my "M". Gonna try to fulfill my destiny, one rep at a time.
What if someone has better quads than me?
That's the question i kept asked myself while in the gym tonight. Well I guess the only answer is to train harder than anyone else and do what most people aren't willing to do. That's why I added 20 more pounds on the 20 rep squat burn-out than last week. That's why I did the triple drop set twice to make sure I won't walk right for the next couple days. Since my quads looks narrow from the front, I figured it might be a good idea to do squats and front squats in the same workout. Afterall, train like a normal dude, and you'll be a normal dude.
Here's how it went down:
One legged extensions: 90x15, 15, 105x12
Squats: 185x12, 225x12, 245x10, 255x10, 155x20(burn out)
Leg press: 8 piesx12, 10 piesx12, 12 piesx10
Front squat: 135x12, 155x10, 185x8
Leg extensions: 180x12, 150x12, 120x12; 195x12, 165x9, 135x15
Also did some calves afterwards, gotta take calf training more serious from now on, 'cause i got no calves!
After my 4th does of M, I have experienced similar results as many other ATP testers did. Thirst, increased appititte, better energy/focus/pump, fuller/harder muscle bellies, slight increase in strength and body weight, not bad at all for less than a week.
Took some pics before the camera ran out of battery, guess how much i weight, whoever gets it right will get a bottle of unopened dream tan : P

Thanks bro, looking to better myself each and everyday. Clock is ticking, can't let a single day slip by...
20lbs eh? well I should come close in another 2 or 3 more years. I'll wait and see if anyone else wants to take a guess. Now if you did win that dream tan, is that means you're gonna step on stage soon yourself?

Thanks for the kind words bro, but I think we all look pretty good standing by ourselves. Hell i thought i looked good too til I was next to somebody on stage. "Good" is never good enough. As for my back, I need more work on lat width and lower back thickness. Not to mention all the improvements i need to make on other bodyparts.

Did shoulders and tri's between work and school today, my rotator cuff is getting worse, gonna have to go see a doctor after I'm done with the new M-stak.

Hahaha my old signature over at another forum, "Deadlift Addict". Can't call myself that here 'cause that name's reserved for Sgt. Rock. My heaviest set is lighter than weight he use for warm-ups lol, but I do still enjoy doing deads though.

"Cause sometimes you just feel tired. You feel weak. And when you feel weak, you feel like you wanna just give up. But you gotta search within you, try to find that inner strength and just pull that shit out of you, and get that motivation to not give up, and not be a quitter, no matter how bad you wanna just fall flat on your face and collapse." This is part of a song by Eminem which I listen to while I train. "Till I collapse".
Everyone draws motivation from different sources, but as long as it light a fire under your ass and make you work harder, that's all that matters.
Speaking from personal experience, I draw motivation from my life outside the gym, while my sources might be a little twisted, but it motivates me to get that extra rep and eat what I'm suppose to eat. Fuck sometimes all I care about is reaching my goal at all costs. Doesn't matter what I have to do, doesn't matter what I have to go through. "Revenge is like a prison, it can take us over and turn us into something ugly." Well in that case I just might be the ugliest motherfucker on earth. For me, today is not a day where the world is all sunshines and rainbows, it's filled with dark clouds instead. All I feel is anger and hate, but in a good way, 'cause this is the feeling that motivates me to better myself.
My life is filled with hardship, which in turn makes me a tougher man. There's a reason for my harsh life, that's because I'm going after what I want from this life and taking control of my destiny, there are things that I must have, and I won't stop pursuing them til the day I die. There's no such thing as quitting, and whatever worth having in life does not come easy, so don't expect someone to hand it to you. Fuck that, don't expect anyone hands you anything, period. If you want something, then work hard and fucking earn it! And I don't give two shits if I have to take that away from someone else, Wrath told me to "Be selfish"
"Only pursue things that brings you closer to your vision.", and that's exactly what I'm doing. Support me, against me, just don't fucking tell me how to live my own life.
And that's my random rant of the day lol

Hell yeah man, you are the ugliest mother fucker on earth, and I think it's time you did something about that trait you've been carrying around since birth. Hit the gym man, you need to let out some of this Animal.
-Preston[ANIMAL]
I understand my friend..what your saying here. Its days like that, when I dont want to be angry because anger is a scary thing to hold onto..it can turn even the most timid mouse into a monster. When things are being said to me, (and you know what I am talking about), I feel it brew inside me, I can feel myself lose control in my head and that is not cool. The one time I let go, it went against me, and it was used against me. It has nothing to do with physical strength either. When you let go of your emotions and turn them to anger, something else takes over and you cannot control your bearings..you look like a fool later on...and your "combatant" whether it is an actual person, thing or an illusion...wins.
“To me, there are three things we all should do every day. We should do this every day of our lives. Number one is laugh. You should laugh every day. Number two is think. You should spend some time in thought. And number three is, you should have your emotions moved to tears, could be happiness or joy. But think about it. If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that's a full day. That's a heck of a day. You do that seven days a week, you're going to have something special.”
(Jim Valvano; American basketball coach, Coach of North Carolina State U., 1980-1990; won NCAA championship, 1983 1946-1993)
You're right Toni, I'd be in deep trouble if I let my anger get the best of me. I become frustrated when things don't go my way, and that frustartion will soon turn into anger, which will then turn into hatred.
My struggle in the gym is nothing compare to the constant battle outside the gym. Sometimes I feel its eaiser to do 100 sets of squats or go zero carb for a year than dealing with what I go through everyday. Oh well, there's nothing to it but to do it.
I feel like a wimp compare to Machine's leg workout, make me feel like going back to the gym and redo it all over again. Wore my Animal shorts to the gym tonight, which left 3 inches of my quad muscle above the knees exposed. That may looks funny to other people, but that's a constant reminder that I got skinny legs, and I'm here to fix that problem. I want bigger wheels, so its time to pay my dues.
Extensions: 135, 150, 165, 180 all for 15 reps
Squats: 185x12, 225x12, 245x10, 275x8, 155x20
DB pullovers: 60s for 4 sets of 12
Hacks supersetted with leg press: 3 sets of 10-12 reps each
DB lunges: 35s for 4 sets of 14 steps per leg
There's a lot going on everyday other than that 1 hour or so i spent in the gym. I understand that there's ups and downs in life, and even though I'm going through a dark period of my life, this is not the place to bitch and whine. No matter how tough things get, I'll keep fighting and keep moving forward. I feel like I have prison running through my veins, but I'll channel all the hatred and anger towards the next workout and burn off some steam.
The misfortunes can only fuel me to work harder in the weightroom and become a tougher person in the end.
Its kinda like making a diamond, the pressure is what made it one of the hardest substance on earth, and if you can't withstood the pressure, you'll end up as a worthless pile of mud. So each hardship, each obstacle that come in my way can only make me tougher than I already am, and no matter how much pressure is lay upon me, I'll forever remain UNBREAKABLE.
Sick workout today, being creative by doing exercises back and forth between delts and tris.
Close grip bench press: 95x15, 95x15, 135x12, 185x10(PR) 135x12(drop set)
Seated military press: 95x12, 115x12, 135x8, 95x10(drop set)
Skulls: 75x12, 85x12, 95x6(PR)
Wide grip upright rows: 95x12, 115x12, 155x10(PR)
Dips: 3 sets of 15 reps supersetted with
Side laterals: 25x12, 30x12, 35x15
Really pushed myself hard today, I'm moving more weight now than before when my rotator cuff was healthy. It was bothering me, but I fought through the pain and grind out that extra couple reps.
Feeling the Torrent working after the 3rd dose, trained quads last night but I don't feel as sore. There must be something wrong with the scale 'cause it says i weight 175lbs. Up 5lbs since I started taking "M" last week.

bro, the scale isnt lying if your combining the torrent with the "M" you will def pack on the pounds. I lost weight when i tested "M" but that was due to my diet at the time. its good clean soild weight, and im sure your strength has increased as well

My strength did increase on a number of lifts, hit 3 personal records today. I'll take pics at the end of the cycle, hopefully there's a noticable improvements.
Decided to go old-school today, no cables, no machines, just some good old-fashioned free weights.
Pull ups: 15, 12, 10, 8 and 2 rest pause reps
Barbell row: 155x12, 185x12, 225x12, 275x8 drop set to 225x6, drop set to 135x12
T-bar row: 5 25sx12, 6 25sx12, 7 25sx12
Free standing DB row: 100s for 3 sets of 15, 12, 12
(No straps for these, all I need is my own two hands)
SLDL: 135x12, 155x12, 185x12
Seated leg curl: 120x12, 135x12, 135x10
I was exhausted from all the rowing, but that shit felt damn good. The most basic back workout I ever had, no energy for hams after that.
Got out of school early today, just found out the research paper i wrote late last night was actually due on friday, oh well, at least got that out of the way.
As I'm looking through this great place with Metallica's "st.Anger" blasting, mentally preparing myself for today's workout. Just downed "M", gonna change my clothes and mix my ST. Doing something new tonight, gonna give G. Diesel's circuit training a try. I'll do 4 moves in a row for chest, repeat that 3 or 4 times, then some EZ bar 21s and DB curls down the rack, looking for some skin busting pumps while push myself hard.
We only live once brothers, FUCK IT ALL AND NO REGRET!!!
Amazing pump in both my chest and tris, back is still very sore from yesterday. The circuit workout was def. something different.
Bench press: 155x12, 185x6, 150x12
Incline DB press: 65x10, 65x8, 65x6
Incline DB flye: 3 sets of 35sx10-12
Cable crossovers: 70x15, 60x10, 50x12
Close grip EZ bar 21s: 2 sets with 65lbs, 75lbs
DB down the rack: 40x6, 35x6, 30x6, 25x8; 40x8, 35x8, 30x8, 25x8, 15x12
Bis still pumped, found the motivation to do more reps on the second set of DB curls, after all, we only live once.
Everyday we are faced with countless descisions, lately my life outside the gym has been interfreing with my training and diet. So its time for me to choose, I can either that all the bullshit drag me down, therefore wasted all my effort, 2 years worth of ball busting work. If i don't do something about it, that whole can of M-stak i got for free will be all wasted. Or I can use the stress from the outside world and turn it into motivation in the gym. Fuck it, its time to make a choice and make something happen. I no longer want to be a regular dude, at this very moment, I'll turn myself into a machine. No longer there will be pain or please, no longer there will be comfort and joy, no longer there will be good or evil. All that matters from this point on is what my goals are and how far I am from achieving it. Time to make something happen, with nothing more than my own two hands. Its time to cut the bull shit and persue only things that bring me close to my vision.
For today's workout, I'll use M-stak with the red pill included, plus ST. Last time I did that, felt like I could've kept going til I die. And here's my plan of attack: I'll start out with extensions, the whole fucking stack on the last set, for 12 good reps. Then move on to hacks, 12 pies for 12 deep reps, Bob Chick made that look so damn hard. Leg press: 20 pies total for a good 20 reps. And finally I'll finish with squats, same weight as like week, but I'll do it last this time, but with MORE reps.
The time has come, its time for me to make something happen. Its time to do it MY WAY and say fuck the limits! So when I step in the gym today, I AM there to DIE!

Yea I was, had to listen to Fall out boy and Red hot chili peppers on my way home to calm myself down lol. Will update the workout after some cartoon lol
Did everything I was set out to do, did not bring Torrent to the gym with me tonight for 2 reasons. First, I wanted to focus on the task at hand, and second, I'm finaly able to treat each workout as if its my last, so I don't expect to return. Never gotta so many stares as i did tonight, the people around me could not believe the weight i was using. They stare at me as to set a limit for me, they want to bring me down to their level, that way they won't feel bad for giving half-assed effort. But from this point on I no longer give two shits about what people think I can or can not do, from this point on I'll do what brings me closer to my destiny, whatever it takes. Here's the workout:
Leg extensions: 135x15, 150x15, 165x15, 190x15, 225x15, 255x15
Hacks: 6 pies for 12, 8 pies for 12, 10 pies for 12, 12 pies for 12
Leg press: 8 pies for 12, 12 pies for 12, 16 pies for 12, 20 pies for 20 reps
Squats: 185x12, 225x10, 275x12, burn out: 135x30 reps
This workout was NOT about creating new growth, it was about creating the greatest amount of pain, and stare the pain right in the eye. "The only respect matters in this damn world is self-respect."-Rocky V
Something changed tonight, when the weights were crushing down on me, I no longer fear being crushed, and for the first time, I enjoyed the pain.
My back is shot, my knee hurts, but at least now I can call myself a man.

Love this stuff man taste is great and good quality energy just got mines used it the first time after I hit shoulders today...do you still drink your pwo shake after torrent...
Been going through relationship issues lately, its messing with my training and diet, plus I'm losing sleep at night. Its time for me to make a decision, its either her or this lifestyle. I have a clear idea what I want to do with my life, and if she does not intent to be there for me, then I'll have to move on. But if she decideds to build a life with me, then I'll do everything I can to make that happen. I may no longer able to afford to buy supplements or even a gym membership for that matter, my first contest might just be my last. Its ok though, I am willing to give up my dream to be with her, without a blink of an eye. Either way, pretty soon I will be making the biggest sacrifice so far. And when that time comes, hopefully I'll make the right decision.

Thanks Kevin, recently I got knocked down pretty good. Its sad but true, all the gains i made from M-stak is pretty much gone. Right now I'm just trying to pick myself up, it ain't easy but I'll take it one day at a time.

My world is still crashing down, but at least i'm back in the gym, the workout was nothing to brag about, just pushing myself and getting a good pump.
Pull downs: 3 sets of 10-12
Reverse barbell row: 3 sets of 8-12 reps
HS high pull: 3 sets of 10-12 reps
Seated cable row: 3 sets of 10-12 reps
SLDL: 225x12 on the heaviest set

Thanks for continous support Kevin, I really appreciate it a lot.
As of right now, the one thing that matters to me the most is gone, so I've got NOTHING left to lose. But like Wrath said, I'm letting it all go, I'm letting go of that map. At this moment, I am lost, I am confused, but soon I'll find my own way. The path I choose in life is not an easy one, but if i quit, then i'll never able to look at myself in the mirror and call myself a man.
Thanks for continous support Kevin, I really appreciate it a lot.

No worries bro. I know its difficult, but what doesnt kill you makes you stronger. Use the anger to fuel the fire. Dont start slippin', its a slippery slope, and once you start its hard to pull out of. Dig in and get ready for the uphill battle. Once you come out on the other side you will be bigger, better, and stronger.
Later.

My problems had been solved, I lost the one thing that I cared about the most, but that's life. In the mean time, I got a title to win, and that's that.

Yea man, someday she may come back to me, until then, I'll be doing what I'm best at. Thanks for the support bro
Decided to shock my chest by doing 20 sets instead of my usual 9 sets, to my surprise i was still moving decent weights, partly because my eating has improved. Also took ST earlier than usual.
Incline barbell: 155x12, 175x12, 185x12, 205x8, 205x4
Barbell curl: 85x12, 95x12, 115x8
Flat DB press: 60x12, 65x12, 70x12, 80x10, 90x10
DB curl: 35x10, 40x10, 45x8
HS decline press: 140x12, 160x12, 180x12, 200x10, 230x9
Incline DB flye: 35x12, 40x12, 45x12
Concentration curl: 30x12, 35x10, 35x8
Cable crossovers: 55x12, 60x12
Gonna go take a nap and then have some chicken and rice. Tomorrow is a off day, I'll be going to the beach and throwing football.

That's so true bro, I'll find the right one someday, in the mean time, I have my sights on the 2008 NGA Northeast Novice Overall title.
Starting a new split this week, trying to bring up delts and arms and add more thickness to my chest.
Sun. Chest and abs
Mon. Back and hams
Tues. Off
Wed. Morning: Delts
Wed. Night: Quads
Thurs. Arms
Fri-sat. Off
As for the chest workout, I decreased the volume a bit than last week, still pushing decent weights and getting a good pump.
Bench press: 185x10, 225x8, 245x5
Incline DB press: 60x12, 65x10, 65x10
HS press: 200x6, 180x8, 140x12
Flat DB flye: 35x15, 40x15, 45x12
Hanging leg raise: 3 sets of 15
Ab machine: 3 sets of 15

Taking a gym class at MCC right now, its 2 hours long, so I figure I might as well get a workout in. I wanted to starting giving arms their own day for a while, yet still training 4 days a week. Kinda giving delts their own day too 'cause my delts are lagging also.

Thanks for all the support and motivation G. It is time to get big, gonna go do some heavy ass rows and deads and then get some quality food in.
I never cared much about pull ups or pull downs, always liked rowing, whether with barbell, dumbbell, cable or Hammer Strength, always enjoyed doing it. But I always do either pull ups or pull downs first to build wider lats.
Went striaght to work after the workout, had to do a night shift from 9pm til 4am, got up 4 hours later for school. At least i had a good workout last night. Out of Torrent, gonna go back to EAA stack, bananas and rice cakes PWO.
Pull downs: 4 sets, 180x8 on the max set
Barbell row: 185x12, 225x10, 275x8
HS high pull ss. seated cable row: 3 sets, 10-12 reps each
Deads: 225x10, 275x8, 315x8
Lying leg curl: 100x12, 110x12, 120x11
Took a page out of Machine's play book by pre-exhaust my quads before squats. My technique must have improved 'cause I used more weight on squats than last week even tho I did squats first last week.
Leg extensions: 2 warm ups, the stack for 12 on the last set
Hacks: 3 piesx15, 4 piesx12, 5 piesx12, 5 pies+25sx15
Squats: 185x12, 225x12, 275x10, 335x8 (not only that's a new PR, that's also 13lbs shy of TWICE of my bodyweight)
DB lunges: 5 sets of 14 reps per leg
Never went this heavy on squats before, however I was not afraid of being crushed, I was only afraid that the guy next to me on stage will look better than me. I don't care if i blow my fucking knees out, at least i didn't put in a half-assed effort. Now there's no telling on what's gonna happen on the day of the contest, but I'll leave no stone unturned and continue to pay my dues.

Thanks for the support my brothers, my quads are dead this morning lol.
A lot of people under-estimate me 'cause I'm tall and skinny, but it ain't the first time people look down on me, and it won't be the last time either.
Two years ago I was a skinny 130 pounder benching 50lbs in my garage, I was weak once, both physically and mentally, but not anymore.
One of the great pleasure in life is to do what people say you can not do. Don't ever let others set limit on you.
When I step under that bar last night, I knew I had it in me. Keep pushing brothers and BELIEVE IN YOURSELF
Tried something different for chest today, did smith machine press first. Set the angle at about 20 degrees for the adjustable bench, which is lower than the incline bench at my gym. The damn Hammer strengh press must be broken or something, I somehow managed to push 3 pies for a good 15 reps. Looks like my strength continue to increase, I'm happy about it, but not satisfied.
Smith incline press: 140x12, 160x12, 180x10, 200x11
Flat DB press: 65x12, 70x12, 75x10, 85x11
Decline HS press: 180x12, 230x12, 270x15
Incline flye: 35x12, 40x12, 45x12
Arnold press: 30s for 2 sets of 10, 12 reps
Gotta start doing pullovers again to expand my rib cage.
Out of N1-T, just started taking Univsersal ZMA Pro.
I'm planning to give Stak 2 a try in the near future, as a pre-workout supp. Just want to stopping taking NO boosters and caffiene for a while, because some days it give me rapid heartbeat, I feel like my heart is fucking POUNDING against my rib cage.
I'm 20 years old, so I don't know if I should take Stak 2. Should I give it a try?

i would not go after the stack2 since you are only 20. you should have enough natural test running through you. i would try mstak or pump. wait a couple of years before taking the stack2.

The reason I was thinking of trying Stak 2 is because in the article it says Stak 2 not only boost test. level, but also helps to "tap" into the total test. in my body.
Plus I'm just looking for a pre-workout supp. that's not a NO booster. I guess I'll either try Stak 2 or mix Storm with Nitro pre-workout.
Doing basic moves, nothing fancy, quick and efficient.
Lat pulldown: 150x12, 180x10, 210x8
Reverse barbell row: 185x12, 225x10, 275x10
T-bar row: 5 25sx12, 6 25sx12, 7 25sx12
Deads: 275x10 on the max set.
I've been focusing on adding more lower back thickness, which is why I'm doing lots of T-bar rows, reverse barbell rows and seated cable rows.

Worked til 4 am this morning, gotta bills to pay and gotta feed myself. Woke up 4 hours later for my shoulders workout, then hit wheels at night. I'm dead tired right now. But like Ronnie said, ain't nothing to it but to do it.
For the delt session:
Seated DB press: 2 sets of 10-12 reps
Side laterals: 3 sets of 8-12 reps
Up right rows: 3 sets of 12 reps, 145 on the heaviest set
One arm cable side lateral: 2 sets of 12 reps
Not a really good workout, did what I had to do.
Knowing my strength and energy level is low, wasn't able to go super heavy, but I did get a great pump.
Front squat: 4 sets, 185x7 on the heaviest set
(It was a mistake to do front squats, 'cause my shoulders were spent)
Leg press: 8 piesx12, 12 piesx12, 14 piesx12... then followed by a QUADruple drop set: 16 piesx12, 12 piex12, 10 piesx10, 8 piesx10
Smith squats: 3 pies for 12 on the max set
Extensions: 215x15 on the max set

just a thought but u may want to stay away from the upright rows they kill your cuffs its isnt worth it for the hurt it causes theres many othe ways to hit the delts in a better fashion...

I appreciate the input bro, but as you know everybody's different. I've been doing upright rows for every shoulder workout for a long while.
I use a pretty wide grip and raise the bar to a point where I feel comfortable, never too high, always make sure to keep my elbows high, chest up, and control the weight.
Like I said, everybody's different, upright rows has always worked good for me, just as good for putting on mass as shoulder presses.
I did hurt my rotator cuff a while back tho, as a result of using too much weight for barbell shruggs. I feel that every exercise can cause injury if you don't use the right amount of weight for youself.

Yea bro its tough to have a fucked up rotator cuff, it bothers me on almost all upper body moves.
I believe that due to different bone structure, certain moves may cause more pain to some people than others.
Same thing with training splits, I noticed a lot of people ask advice on the "perfect" split. But the truth is, NO ONE will ever point you to the right direction as far as training split goes, however, you can CONSIDER the splits of experienced lifter.
The ONLY way to find the perfect split is through trail and error, and go by how YOU feel. Like making gains, finding the pefect split takes time.
Beening wanting to say this for a long time.
Found this in the new issue of MD, "eccentric contractions aka negatives, trigger the greatest increases in IGF-1 and mechano-growth factor (MGF), and the greatest decreases in myostatin.
So for the chest workout, I made sure to go slower than normal on the negative part of the rep. Used less weight 'cause my form is better plus my rotator cuff is killing me. Good workout, great pump, might have to let my buddy take a couple pics next sunday.
Incline barbell: 135x12, 155x10, 185x8, 185x8 drop set 135x8
Flat db press: 65x11, 65x10, 70x10 drop set 40x12
HS decline press ss. with flat db flye, 3 sets of 10-12 reps each
Also some ab work. I found that doing about 16 sets for chest seems to be my magic number, for now.
So there's this big guy nicknamed "Sick Rick" who trains at my gym once a while, he's a NPC competitor and finished in top 10 at reginal shows. He's juicing but at least he's honest about it. Anyways, he's in his mid 30s and been lifting for a long time, strong dude. I've been training at that gym for the past 2 years, and he was the ONLY one who can barbell row 315 for 8 reps... until last night.
I was feeling it big time, felt like I could've moved mountains, and I kinda did. I said fuck 'roids, fuck limits, ITS MY TURN AND ITS MY TIME! And I got TWELVE reps with 315.
Last night, I proved that 'roids, genetics don't mean shit as long as you're willing to pay your dues and put the work in.
Later I went to get some Chinese food, and as strange as it is, my fortune cookie says:" Everything is impossilbe until someone does it."
In order to reach one's true potential, all you need is good old-fashioned eating and lifting, G. Diesel is the living proof of that, and I will follow his footsteps.

Quads last night, nothing special, just tried and true shit. Went pretty heavy on squats after extensions and leg presses, pretty happy with my efforts, but still hungry for more.
Leg extension: 5 sets, the stack for 12 reps on the last set
Leg press(narrow stance): 6 sets, 18 plates for 12 reps on the max set
Squats: 6 sets: 135x12, 185x12, 225x12, 275x10, 315x8, 355x5
As of last night, I weighted 175lbs, which means I squatted more than twice of my bodyweight for 5 reps. My quads were completely shot afterwards. A few guys in my gym can squat more than me, but they weight more than me also. So in the mean time I'll continue to push the envolope, beating odds, breaking limits.

Smaller guys as in height? I think its easier for shorter guys to squat, I'm 6 foot tall with long legs, gotta go down quiet a way to reach parallel. Sometimes I get carried away with numbers and other things. Sometimes all I wanted is to build a pair of wheels so sick that can break the stereotype of tall people have skinny legs.
I always loved squatting, it feels good in a very painful way lol.

I think this is where the smitty has its place and purpose. Besides the fact the smith machine is great for those with injuries or issues with squatting you get way better leverage and you can work leg muscles at slightly different angles and not feel like you may topple over with a heavy load on your traps.
I would think a guy your height would rather take advantage of more smith machine squats to get ass to the grass range of motion and still take advantage of the heavy loads...seems safer and may even work to your advantage.

That's a good idea Toni, I thought i was gonna fall down when I was walking the weight back. Certainly can't go this heavy every week, don't want to blow my knee out just yet lol.
I was hitting a couple poses after the chest workout today, didn't really liked what I saw in the mirror. Seems like I'm losing balance in my upper body. The unusual strength gain made me lost focus, and I got too carried away with the numbers. While my goal of squatting twice of my bodyweight for X number of reps is a hard one to reach, it is even harder to build a physique with perfect symmetry and proportion, a physique that stand out from the rest. Afterall, my goal is to win the Novice Overall title at my next contest. As of right now, there are plenty of work need to be done, and I'll change my training program accordingly to bring everything back to proportion.
As for the chest workout, started doing pullovers again, used moderate weight to protect my shoulders.
Bench press: 135, 155, 185, 205x10 on the heaviest set
Incline db press: 60s at 45 degrees angle, 65s at 30 degrees angle, 70s at 25 degrees angle (making sure to fully blast my upper chest)
HS decline press: 3 sets of 8-12 reps
Pullovers: 60x12, 65x12, 65x10
For all presses, I've been focusing on explode the weight up, and really control the weight on the way down, I can get a better pump this way.

Maybe I'd make a good powerlifter lol since i'm pretty strong for my size, and I do enjoy training hard and heavy. But everyday my second place trophy reminds me why I'm doing what I'm doing.
Good back workout last night, need to focus more on width than thickness, meaning doing more pull downs than rows. Even tho I love rows, but it ain't about doing what I love, but doing what I have to do.
Pull ups: 4 sets of 15, 12, 10, 8
Reverse barbell row: 135x12, 185x12, 205x12, 225x10
HS high pull: 3 sets of 10-12 reps
V-bar pull downs: 3 sets of 10-12 reps
SLDL: 135x12, 225x12, 225x12
Seated leg curl: 3 sets of 12 reps
Angst,
JUST TRAIN!!! Bring up lagging areas, work with a goal in mind and stick to it. Eat big to get big..we preach it all the time, right? Rest when your supposed to..cause rest makes the body recover and grow. Dont worry so much about the little things..you will lose some conditioning, you will have days where you will compare yourself to how you looked on contest day, but you really cant compare. Although they are two different goals, both do have a meeting point at some point. What you do now in your bulk, will reflect and impact your progress when you do start dieting again, revealing exactly what you worked so hard for during your bulking stage.
Dont worry so much about the mirror now...worry more about how you want to walk on that stage again, what you need to do to be better and how you will do it. Your body will change...but if you do everything right and if you actually learned something from your first show...then you will be that extra step ahead of the game.
Hitting it hard I see some intense numbers you really pack a hell of a puch in the gym...you are gonna be a bigger monster by your next comp...
Angst,
JUST TRAIN!!!

I like that idea, fuck everything else and just train. Hopefully I can put on some good size.

Thanks bro, hopefully all the hard training will pay off at my next show. Still have plenty of work need to be done.
Trained quads before work last night, then worked from 9pm til 5 am this morning, i'm dead tired and my quads are sore. I'll be start taking Torrent again soon. I'll also be start seeing a physical therapist (sp) for my shoulder.

(didn't want to go heavier 'cause its hurting my knees quiet a bit, don't wanna blow my knees out before squats lol)
Squats: 2 warm ups, 225x12, 275x10, *315x8, 225x8, 135x20 (triple drop set)
Super setted arms last night, shoulder still bothering me, got a good pump nevertheless.
Close grip bench: 135x12, 185x10, 205x8
Barbell curl: 95x12, 105x10, 105x8
Skulls: 85x12, 105x10, 115x8

Hammer curl: 35x12, 40x12, 50x12
I have one of the most boring job ever, doing the same thing over and over from 9 til 5. Gets to watch the sunset, and sunraise. It keeps me awake through out the night, I can't complain though, 'cause it gives me more time to get some calories in. I seldom bothered by others at my job, so I keep myself company with my own thoughts.
The subject is usually bodybuilding related, during those un-Godly hours, I think about the contests, follow bodybuilders, my competitions, new songs for my next posing routine, how I will put it all together, which pose to hit. Usually too tired to think about training or diets.
It was during those hours that a question emerged. How was my workout today, was it good?... was it great?... or was it the best workout I ever had? And that really got me thinking... as you all know, "good", is never good enough. I had to ask myself, do I have a good physique? a great physique? or the BEST physique? I've finally realized that a "good" physique don't win shows, and neither does a great physique... ONLY THE BEST physique win shows. Some of you may know that my back is a strong bodypart, but is it a good back? a great back? or the best back you ever seen? 'cause if it ain't, then I got some work to do.
I feel this mindset can be applied to all aspect of life. For all my fellow bros whose still in school, are you a good student? a great student? or are you the best in your class?
For everyone here whose got a job, are you a good worker? a great worker? or are you the best at what you do?
I can go on and on with this, but here's my point: I realized that only THE best physique win shows. So if I want to claim that overall title at my next show, then I must bring the best physique to the stage. In order to do that, I must not settle for a good or a great workout, from now on, I will put forth my best effort, not just in the gym, but towards EVERY SINGLE ASPECT OF BODYBUILDING, and my life in general. I will not rest til I give all I have, and left no stone un-turned.
Brothers, strive to be the best. Because when its all said and done, there can only be one. Only the best wins, only the BEST...
Worked about 12 hours between my 2 jobs on saturday, 10-3pm, 5-9pm, then 9-3am til sunday. Not that I'm greedy or anything, just needed the money to get by. Really pushed myself on chest, grinded out rep after rep at the end of pretty much every set. Decided to pre-exhaust my chest to save my rotator cuffs.
Incline DB flye: 4 sets of 30, 40, 50, and 60s for 12 reps each
Bench press: 135x12, 185x10, 225x8
Decline barbell press: 135x12, 155x12, 185x10
Pullovers ss. with crossovers: 3 sets of 12-15 reps each

After 12 hours of work you accomplished all of that, that is damn impressive Angst, that is dedication. Much respect.

good shit man mine hurts from looking at your workout.... and a triple shift at that damn bro u got stamina....
Lol thanks for the support bros, hopefully I don't have to do that too often, I'm now exhausted beyond belive lol.
I liked your earlier post...all that you were thinking. You keep that mindset and you will achieve what you want. Do what you feel is right for you. Dont let other people mislead you and try to steer you away from the things you want or the direction you want to go. If you find you went the wrong way, turn around and start over. You control your life and the things you want out of it. If you make a mistake, you take responsibility for it and find another way to get what you want. You learn from your mistakes and your experiences. These are the things that help us to grow and be better individuals for ourselves and for others that are important to us as well, who care about us.

That's right Ms. Toni, like Wrath said in his journey, I've let go of my ma's hand and stepped out of my old man's shadow. Often times I felt like I'm compeletely on my own with nowhere to fall back on. I've always tried to take control of my own life and I was never afraid to walk that thin line between success and disater.
Looks like the bulk is going well...the weights ae going up your back is going to blow up wideness is only problem I ever saw so you are hitting it good.

Thanks bro, actually I think the reason for my strength gains is due to less stress from outside the gym. My girl left me, I'm done with school, so all I do now is work at my jobs, train, and hangout with my buddies. I've been "holding on" for so long, it was time for me to "let go".
I'll post some pics soon, also start taking Torrent again, begin rehab for my shoulder next week.
Worked from 9pm last night til 5am this morning, had ONE hour of sleep, then went to an appointment at 7am this morning. I was falling asleep on my way home. As for last night's back workout, still sticking with the basics, free weights only.
Pull ups: 12, 10, 10, 8
Barbell row: 135x12, 185x12, 225x12, 275x10, 315x6
T-bar row: 5 25sx12, 6 25sx12, 7 25sx10
Deads: 135x12, 225x12, 275x10
Seated leg curl ss. with lying leg curl: 3 sets of 10-12 reps each

Great workout Bro, get some rest, you deserve it.
Thank God the gym was open today, it was like a ghost town lol. Did front squats for the first time in a while, then kill it with lunges, went beyond the threshold, couldn't even feel the pain at the end.
Leg extensions: 5 sets, the stack for 12 on last set
Leg press: 5 sets, 16 plates for 10 on the last set
Front squat: 135x12, 155x12, 185x10, 225x8
Lunges: 40s for 100 yards total

Yea the resolutioners, some of them don't even last a week lol. Thanks for dropping by bro.

My gym was closed on New Year's day, so I drove half a hour to go train at another gym, I pretty much had the WHOLE place all to myself. It doesnt matter what day it is, i've trained on my b-day, xmas morning, Thanksgiving, etc.
As for the workout, i use to do front squats every other week when I train quads and hams together. I did front squats this time is because I hit hams pretty hard with back on monday. By doing front squats, i can still hit my quads pretty hard, without a lot of weight. I think regular squats invovles hams more than front squat does, and my hams were still sore. Also since I used less weight than I normally would, I decided to add one more exercise (lunges).

heheh well shit man im sure ya legz are tanked....
All the nightshift has been screwing my eating time, I gotta get my shit together and move that fucking scale! I'm still pretty damn skinny at 175lbs, an sore rotator cuff is still no excuse for not hitting it hard. Its time to smash through the temptations and cut off the distractions, trim the fat. Here's the new meal plan:
12 PM: eggs, meat, oats/bagel/whole wheat bread, Pak
3 Pm: Real Gains, fruit
6 PM: Chicken/beef, rice, veggies
9 PM: Post workout shake
10:45 PM: Chicken breast or roast beef sub, half serving of Real gains (This is my first break)
2 AM: Same as above
5 AM: Cottage cheese, peanut butter sandwich (before bed)
Hopefully with this plan I can make the scale moving again.

I'm always watching bro... Keep blasting shit. I've worked the graveyard shift before too. Ya just have to man up and make getting those meals in a priority. Also, make sure you are getting enough rest without becoming a fuckin vampire. Peace, G
Here's my current split:
Day 1: Chest
Day 2: Back&hams
Day 3: Off
Day 4: Delts am, Quads pm
Day 5: Arms
Day 6-7: Off
Right now I need to bring up my delts, more thickness in my upper torso, more sweep in my quads. I've been getting good results from splitting quads and hams, so I'll continue to do that. So I'm thinking of something like this:
Day 1: Delts and some arms
Day 2: Quads
Day 3: Off
Day 4: Chest and some arms
Day 5: Back and hams
Day 6-7: Off
I still want to only train 4 days a week to allow maximum recovery since muscle don't grow in the gym.
Basically I'm just trying to "frame up", so to speak, 'cause even tho I got a good V-taper, my upper body still looks too narrow. But maybe that has more to do with the diet than a training split.
I could be wrong but here's my theory, if I can pack more size on my frame, then maybe that will stimulate my bone structure to grow in order to "hold" the added weight/size. There aren't a lot of big guys with narrow frames, even the people who are obese and don't train, and there aren't a lot of skinny guys with wide shoulders. So if I can add more size, then my "frame" will grow. Hopefully my theory is right.

Sounds like a good theory Angst. I would maybe hit up BigAnt and check, or one of the crew. The split looks good, and would give you optimum rest.
Thanks for stopping by LD, got an appointment this wednesday for my rotator cuff, should start rehabbing soon. Still tossing around ideas for a new split, I might even pair up chest and back and give delts, arms their own day. Will have to wait and see how fast my rotator cuff will heal.

That there sounds like a solid idea. Hope the rehab goes well and you get back to 100% as soon as possible.
Here's the chest workout, did some drop sets for a better pump, still controlling the weight down and explode it back up. Had to use less weight but my form is much better.
Incline barbell: 155x12, 175x10, 205x8, 185x8 drop set to 135x4
Flat DB press: 60x12, 65x10, 70x10, drop set to 45x8
HS decline press: 4 sets of 10-12 reps
Incline DB flye: 35x12, 40x10
Also some ab work, will start taking Torrent again once I feel my rotator cuff is close to 100%.

killer drop sets Angst. i keep forgetting about these, going to throw them in sometime soon. and starting Torrent again with the way you've been working, its going to be fun watching the progress
The news diet plan seems to be working, maybe I'm taking the diet more seriously, even though I'm still eating pretty much the same food, I feel hungrier and actually looking forward to the next meal, even if it taste like shit since I'm a horrible cook lol. I'm finally able to eat like if its my job. Always had trouble getting enough food in, now if I can continue to eat like I'm suppose to, soon I can no longer call myself a hardgainer.
Been off both creatine and NO booster for the past few weeks, at first it felt weird not taking anything pre-workout, but I'm fine now. I am so focused when I step in the gym, there's no ne
